Man I hate fumbled snaps! All our QBs have had a few this preseason (Orton had another one yesterday from Beekman). My question is, are we overreacting to them happening in practice due in part to Rex's history? Is it possible every other team is seeing the same amount of fumbled snaps since guys are just shaking the rust off? I hope this isn't gonna be an issue again during the season, regardless of who the QB is.

These come out about once every three seasons but after this game I think I want to vent/evaluate where I see the team. First: Brian Urlacher. There is a lot of hate for him and a lot of people thinking he isnt needed or we can do with out him. IMO, he is the best linebacker in the cover 2/Tampa 2 in the game and possibly ever (for the current scheme we run). He isnt replaceable and I think people overlook what he does in pass defense in the middle of the field. When he is done, our Tampa 2 is done, Lovie is done and we are starting over. Defense: In a lot of trouble. Lance Briggs is a top 10 defensive player in the league, but after that we are hurting. …

With the No. 147 pick, the #Bears draft OL Jordan Morgan from D-II Kutztown. They coached him at the Senior Bowl. Draft trend, mainly small schools and sleeper picks. We will see how it works out.. It really feels like Pace tried to outsmart everyone else with some questionable trades and sleeper picks. We will see how these all turn out. Not what I expected.

http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/07/10...loser_look.html 10 days to Camp: A closer look at run metrics for Bears' linemen By Brad Biggs We reached out to KC Joyner to go over some of the run blocking metrics he completed after film review of the Bears. The numbers showed that right guard Roberto Garza was not only the Bears' most efficient run blocker last season, he was one of the best guards in the game, ranking ahead of the three Pro Bowlers Joyner has final numbers for--Chris Snee, Leonard Davis and Alan Faneca. "If you ask me about the 22 teams I've run the numbers on so far, he is probably the second most surprising,'' said Joyner, who will p…

I just saw this on ESPN that T. Holt has asked for his release from the Rams. Hopefully, Lovie will have JA pursue him once his is.

There has been some concern expressed to the Admins of the forum about avatars being used by some posters. There are posters on the forum who have young children who either read posts on the forum or are present when the parent is reading posts on the forum and are uncomfortable, for various reasons, for them to see avatars of a sexually provocative nature. Being the father of 5, grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 3, I can certainly understand. The Admins therefore would certainly appreciate if forum posters would consider less sexually explicit avatars. If a registered member of the forum would like to do so there is also another option. If y…

  12. This is the draft following the 2005-2006 season. To set the scene, the Bears had just finished with the best defense in the NFL with only 12.6 points allowed per game. They were also 2nd best in total yards allowed per game and 11th in rush and 5th in passing yards allowed. The Bears had the 2nd most int's of any team that year. They were tied for most Defensive TD's and in the top 10 in sacks. The offense wasn't quite as productive. The Bears were 27th on points per game (16.3) and 29th in yards per game. The defense was good, the offense was putrid, so lets draft a lot of offense right? Well, not exactly. The Bears draft that year was as follows:…

https://twitter.com/JosinaAnderson/status/574632313893449728 I would hope that if we wanted him, we would have a leg up considering Fox (assuming he liked Fox). Oakland has the money, Indy has the best chance for winning now, and Washington is where good players go to lose.

I don't htink it'll happen, espeically w/ LA w/o a team. But maybe the talk applies some heat to this franchise to get something going here! CHICAGO MAYOR WANTS ANOTHER TEAM Posted by Mike Florio on January 20, 2009, 10:35 a.m. They’ve got two baseball teams, so why not two football teams? Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley reiterated on Monday his belief that the city should have not one but two NFL franchises. “We should have a second NFL team in Chicago,” Daley said on Comcast SportsNet, via the Chicago Tribune. “If San Francisco has two, New York has two, Florida has three teams . . . and when you take Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia, they hav…

With Frazier rumored to be on the hot seat, he would be a better candidate to run the Bears defense than Ryan.IMO He is familiar with the division and has run successful defenses in Minnesota in a 4-3. If he takes the heat for the Vikings drop off in play this year he will be in demand as a coordinator.
