Just wondering what people think of him in general. I always thought he was pretty overrated, but I don't watch a ton of ND games. The reason that I ask is he seems like exactly the kind of player the Bears would draft, like they did with Garrett Wolfe last year, where he's a guy who has got a ton of attention in the area and has a high "name recognition" value at a position we are obviously hurting at. I would not be shocked to see Angelo draft him at the end of the third round. Is he as overrated as I think he is, or am I missing something?

Based on watching other games, the Bears sloppy start isn't unusual. Cutler can, in fact, bring his team back from a deficit. The rooks on the line can play! The FA pickups this year will contribute. Nut is still GOOD. Trestman can game plan and make halftime adjustments. Gould is the best PK in the game today. Hester didn't look special to me today but I'd still rather have him than play against him. The D needs to tackle a LOT better. Briggs in particular. The run to the outside on 4th and 1 showed guts. I watched the Bears games against the Falcons the year we went to the SuperBowl and Kevin Shaffer was playing LT for the Falcons. To me he was some what ok he was blocking A.Brown and T. Harris all over the field. He did give up a sack to A.Brown who went thoug a gap. He blocks well at the point of attack and then gets off his block and goes downfield to block someone else. One thing that I did notice in him was that he likes to cut block alot diving at the legs. Maybe that was back then but he did it alot without sucess. I know there's a thread for workouts attended by the Bears but this one impacts the first round and I think merits it's own place. Lovie in attendance and Marinelli running the workouts. Watching the NFL Network it seems there's a lot of consensus that Austin has worked his way back into the first round. If that's true we have to start thinking he could end up on our roster. I've read where he was supposed to be a top 5 talent before the suspension. Everything that needed to happen for the Bears to stay alive happened this weekend. The Queens lost, the Bucs lost, the Cowgirls lost, AND the Eagles lost. If the team isn't fired up for this game after that, then they deserve to be sitting at home. Take care of the Puckers and the Texans and we are very much still alive both in the division AND in the Wildcard. Let's kick their tails and hold our breath for next week!

Hardin is likely to be the seventh in eight years. The question is, what does that say about our secondary and our coaches?
