  3. Urlacher Threatens to Hold Out from Minicamp. Panic in the Streets. May 14th, 2008 Tom Shannon Posted in Da Bears | No Comments » Edit | The Bears * Brian Urlacher told Michael Silver at Yahoo Sports that he probably will sit out mandatory mini-camp and is thinking about sitting out training camp: “’But this is the NFL, and if I’d signed it and I’d played like (expletive), they’d have cut me or tried to get me to take less. In my mind, there’s no difference. If they can ‘break’ a contract, I have a right to ask for more if I play well enough.’” If you play like (expletive) you walk away with a $13 million signing bonu…

    1. The Bears D has looked good for the most part except on passing downs, Thier not getting to the QB is really killing the game. 2. Grossman is not the QB and today proves it. It almost looks like thier is no game plan. His inability to adjust is proven once again and not adjusting the plays like Orton does has hand cuffed this team. I dont see us going any further in this game. Now pass rush like a mo fo and maybe we can get back into it.

The Bears currently ranked 25th in the power rankings played the 3rd ranked Packers who were very close to playing in the Super Bowl 8 months ago. New Staff, New Scheme's and some new players! Last year the Bears got embarrassed by the Packers twice. Leading up to this game I was not very excited due to how BAD the Bears were last year. After watching the game I am very excited about the direction of this team. 1. We were leading at half......Holy crap. 2. They ran the shit about of the ball..........amazing, I loved it. 3. Forte is really underappreciated around the league. 4. James Jones first TD was actually covered well but he made a …

I heard today that AZ Cardinals are interested in Bagent. ( Probably bullsh**). So the question is if we could get a 3 Rd pick for him, would you trade him? The story suggested a 2nd but that seems unrealistic. I think this year they keep the offensive players together for continuity issues. Maybe one might be gone but majority so we can go be aligned to have the best offense in the league. Every time a player becomes available a bunch of pundits have them coming to the bears. Poles never lets information out so when say, they have sources, bullsh**.

  9. "Hardin is just the latest safety to be drafted by the Bears, who have chosen one in eight consecutive drafts. Of the seven who came before Hardin, Conte, Al Afalava, Kevin Payne, Danieal Manning and Chris Harris all started as rookies." http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...8647,full.story Even if some of those were by injury, that's amazing that almost all of our rookie safeties end up starting during year one. Hardin is likely to be the seventh in eight years. The question is, what does that say about our secondary and our coaches?

They are already running 15 minutes late. Wonder what is going on? Emery and Trestman don't look like guys that would run late for anything. Is there something significant coming?

I don't know if any of you have ever followed YourBoyRoy. He used to video tape Training Camp in Bourbonais a few years ago and would upload it onto youtube for the fans that couldn't make it there. Because of him the Bears Org. posted that no video taping practice would be allowed, yet this also forced ChicagoBear.com to raise their standards of the Camp Coverage on their site. Roy has never recieved even a pat on the back for this. LOL....but, he is also a friend of mine and makes some excellent videos breaking down some of the major plays in games and shares a lot of the same oppinion that I do of our team. Check out his video and post on here what you think about…

Suppose the draft goes crazy. I'm talking "Kevin Costner making horrendous trades in Draft Day, getting his guy, causing a #1 QB to fall and nobody takes him"-crazy. Who do you want as your #1 guy? Honestly, I don't see how the Titans pick anyone but Tunsil. They have some offensive weapons, and just need to protect. Cleveland is picking a QB, and Goff seems like the #1 guy. Bosa is rated as the #1 guy overall on most boards, so he probably doesn't make it past SD. After that, however, all bets are off. So, assuming a small amount of realism, who do you hope makes it to 11 and the Bears can't help but to pick him? My guy is Ronnie Stanley. He's a s…

here is some of the complete nonsense from our fearless leader that every fan (and especially if we had a real president of football operations who was qualified to do his job) should note. 1. "the continuity of having five play together was critical". then why in the H E double hockey sticks do you hire semi-retired bandaids like o. pace, r. brown and fred miller to come in and finish out their careers here in which we usually get 1-2 years max play out of them before aged performances force retirement a year later than it should be. is that continuity angie? when you are changing the offensive line every year or two? by bringing in MORE free agents because …

This O-line debate has me thinking back to the days of when I first started following the Bears and the draft(yes they did have face masks lol) and my earliest memories date back to 1966 and with that being said the Bears have only had one GM since that time who was hell bent on developing the o-line. That was Jim Finks who was considered one of the best GMs in NFL history. Under his watch the Bears drafted 4 OTs number one(Lick, Albrecht,Van Horne and Covert) in a span of about 8 years. After he invested a number 4 overall pick in a little known RB out of Jackson State his first O-line looked like a rag tag bunch with at least 2 castoffs from the defunct World Football …
