Ok. One and a half games and so far I'm wondering where the plays are. Not one play made IMHO in the first half. A strip and recovery because the Giants tackle blew his assignment. And a kickoff for a touch down because a kicker was lackadaisical. Nothing I saw all half that made me excited. Guess we will be looking for a backup QB next year. Time to play the starters next week just to? It's only preseason!

I've always been a fan of the Fullback position. I love the slobber-knockers. Guys who know they will get three carries on the year, and five times as many forehead stitches. I don't know if one fits that well in Trestman's offense, but there are three stud FBs this year that would be good draft picks in the 5th or 6th. Jay Prosch - Pretty good athleticism, opens good holes, takes smart angles, understands how to get to the second level JC Copeland - Dude is a beast. Runs through walls. Man I hate fumbled snaps! All our QBs have had a few this preseason (Orton had another one yesterday from Beekman). My question is, are we overreacting to them happening in practice due in part to Rex's history? Is it possible every other team is seeing the same amount of fumbled snaps since guys are just shaking the rust off? I hope this isn't gonna be an issue again during the season, regardless of who the QB is.

Yesterday was a fun win unlike last week! It looked dismal at the start and I thought it'd be a long day ending with Cutler leaving on a stretcher. Then, Martz the Mad Scientist, went to work and adjusted immediately! A real OC! Then we rode it all the way to victory! A few observations... 1. Cutler looks like the franchise guy we all wanted. It's only 2 games, but those are the games we've got. So far so VERY good! Next week on MNF (where we historically lay eggs with extreme predjudice) will be a true test... 2.
