it sucks to see other potential 1st round draft picks excelling (per Rotowolrd): The Bears were linked to Coples, Mercilus, Ingram, and Jones at some point before the draft. I really hope McClellin proves the doubters wrong, but right now he is sort of behind the power curve.

I was thinking the other day, "what would JA have done differently"? Trade 2 3rds for Marshall? Who wouldn't? Sign Bush? Yes Sign Campbell? No Sign veteran special teamers? That's in his wheelhouse. Draft McClellin? Maybe Trade up for Jeffery? Probably not Draft Hardin? Again his M.O. Draft Gonzalez? Probably not Draft 2 DB's with potential in the late rounds? No. He would have been slobbering over the measurables of the next Webb. Although they are not far off on methodology. Emery killed him with the Jeffery trade and Campbell signing. Bears came in at 11: The additions of Reiff and Schofield helped out a lot. The line could be even better if Jones or Jenkins beat out Borom. Then the 2 that don't win the starting job become super subs with Mustipher as depth. That is a very solid O-Line and a lot better than last year.

I think this deserves it's own thread. So far we have Chase Allen TE and Isaiah Coulter WR.

After watching this, I feel much better. QB1 is maturing before our eyes. Compare this to a Trubisky presser from 2019, it is night and day difference:

GB is 3-4 lol. This has been a great season for the Packers losing and looking like crap. Now a loss to Washington. I wonder if Rodgers will get any crap? He had 146 yds passing before the garage time prevent defense allowed 50 yds passing. His 2 TDs were to a RB, so technically going into the last drive he had 93 passing yds to WRs and TEs and ended with 141 yds passing to non-RBs. He had 4 more passing yards than Fields, but Fields had 88 rushing yards to his 0. Where is the media outrage? GB's last 5 games, 3 straight losses, a 3 pt win against NE, and a 2 pt win against TB.

With Fields now also a runner and the emergence of Herbert in this scheme, it really looks like Montgomery is the odd man out. He has only had one rushing day over 70 yards all season, and since the offense started scoring 30 a game, he has averaged 3.55 yards a carry and 47 yards a game. He is on pace for a career low in attempts, yards, yards per carry, and TDs. His longest rush this year is 28 yards. Obviously he is going to command more than his rookie deal, but I can't see him getting anything like even what Conner or Fournette got (3yr, $21M). What do you think he is worth? time to look for a new kicker, possibly round 5-7 unless a really good FA is available. if we were in the hunt for the playoffs, this year he has cost us at least 2-3 games. any field goal under 50 should be automatic. if you can't hit xtra points yer done. this makes 2 out of 3 years with us he has sucked. time to move on.

What else is new? I have issues regarding Tevin Jenkins... ...and none of it is performance related. To the beginning where he came in outta shape, as could've been the issue with the back last year. We already know his college coach had a hard time motivating him to workout. To the now, he was deemed healthy to play Sunday. He lasted one play. Carolina has lost the first of its 17 games, dropping the opener 24-10 to the Atlanta Falcons. Every loss brings the Bears closer to draft Nirvana. I have a wish, and i think it has a good chance of happening, that we end up with the #1 pick AGAIN next year. Lets Go!

At some point they’re going to have to adjust these low totals to account for our defense. We’ve given up over twenty five points dating back at least ten games while going 7-3 over the total our last ten. This year we’re a perfect 4-0 over the total with the only close one being in TB.
