I was thinking: if you could add ANY two NFL players (current) to the current Bears team, who would they be? I've thought long and hard about this, and I've decided that 3 months ago, I would've said Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson. But, the Bears just used a 2nd round pick on Alshon Jeffery and two 3rd's + $9m/year on Brandon Marshall. So, I came up with these two: Joe Thomas, LT, Browns Haloti Ngata, DT, Ravens Thomas and Ngata are both in their primes and both very good. The Bears OL would go from medicore to good in a heartbeat, and their DL would be McClellin-Melton-Ngata-Peppers. Honorable mention: Darelle Revis, Rob Gronkowski, Jared Allen.…

Looks like we are really going to have roster spot battles this year in camp for the starting Oline and Dline positions, as where you pretty much knew who was going to be where last year. I love football season. Now that college season has started, I like to follow my team Notre Dame, but more importantly I like to follow top players I'd like to see the Bears draft. Today I'm watching North Carolina, they have a LB Kevin Reddick I've seen some mocks with the Bears taking in the 2nd. How about we use this post to mention players we like for the Bears.

WTF is the front office thinking? We traded Orton, and 2 First round picks for Cutler. When this trade was made, it was blatantly obvious that Cutler would be our QB of the future. We have Martz and his complicated offense and the father of the Greatest Show on Turf. With that being said, why the hell wouldn't the front office give Cutler and this offense the tools needed to succeed in this league? Why would you continue for 3 years running with a below NFL average receiving core and a below average PeeWee football offensive line? OK, maybe I'm looking at my glass as half empty again as I've been known to do...but dammit, why does it seem like we lay the biggest turds when we are a national game? Watching the play in the first half where Cutler threw a pick, did anyone else notice that it appeared that Williams gave up on the play after making his move on the Cheese Head DB as Cutler threw the ball? Seems to me that if Williams was our best option available to pick up then he should be doing anything and everything he is able to in order to re-establish himself as a top-level (I use that lightly) receiver. Right now it seems that he is a waste of money as he has struggled with a groin injury and plays like the pick shows that he is really not into what needs to be as a player in the NFL.
