Anyone can say what they want but realistically can we fix this? First a win this week could help a lot. Second injured players coming back wouldnt hurt. ( no control over that)/ Thrid, Flus aint leaving and I now think he should, how about Waldron? We have 2 options in the room Kerry Joseph and Tom Brown. Tom Brown has called plays in Carolina and was assitant HC with the Rams before that. I would say promote Tomas Brown to OC. 4th simplifly it for CW , he is talented but does he have too much on his plate for a rookie? According to his play, that would be a yes. 5th Flus turn over DC play calling to Williams and concentrate on being a HC. …

Sidney Jones CB Wash, was considered a first round CB, tore his Achilles at his pro day. This cost him a lot of money and the 2017 season. I would think he makes it to Round 3 and possibly RD4. Would love to stash him while they see what Prince and Fuller have on one year deals. He would be like a 2018 1st RD pick. Contract expires after 2017: Prince Amukamara CB, Kyle Fuller CB, Sherrick McManis CB, Bryce Callahan CB, DeVante Bausby CB, Jacoby Glenn CB, and Rashaad Reynolds Contract expires after 2018: Crevon LeBlanc CB, Tracy Porter CB Contract expires after 2019: Marcus Cooper CB, Deiondre' Hall CB

The SCORE's been making fun of this depth chart all summer, since the Bear's refused to name starters at WR or QB. I had trouble find this but the Sun Times had it: Bears release first depth chart of summer By Brad Biggson August 4, 2008 5:52 PM | Permalink | Comments (6) | TrackBacks (0) Offense WR--Rashied Davis/Devin Hester, Mike Hass, Brandon Rideau, Ryan Grice-Mullen LT--John St. Clair, Cody Balogh, (Chris Williams) LG--Terrence Metcalf, Anthony Oakley, Ryan Poles C--Olin Kreutz, Josh Beekman, Anthony Oakley RG--Roberto Garza, Tyler Reed, Chester Adams RT--John Tait, Kirk Barton TE--Desmond Clark, Greg Olsen, Kellen Davis, Fontel Mines,…

Lovie will have all his old buddies on board--Martz and Marinelli, who he wated when the Bucs wouldn't let him go. If Lovie can't get it done with this group, he's got to go. And that may well be one reason that JA, in the end, signs off on Martz. As a solid Bears fan, I want the team to do well, and I've got my Kool Aide ready. But like most solid Bears fans, I've got my depression medicine in the cabinet, just in case.

Angelo couldn't draft a good offensive lineman in the first round if his life depended on it, but he owned round #7. I look for Emery to continue that tradition and draft our new starting left tackle here shortly. Any predictions?

After Wilson and Wagner deals, Seattle has to clear some cap space. McDaniel will probably sign with a 4-3 team, but he would be a decent pickup to fill the hole made by McDonald (and only a few letters to change on uniform). Could he work as a DE in a 3-4? Just curious because he is only 30, played for SEA the last 2 seasons, and shouldn't cost more than $2-$3 mil per year. On a totally unrelated side note, I did some research (not complete yet) after the Wilson and Wagner signings and found that there are 12 teams that will have over $70mil in cap space tied to their top 6 players in 2016 (basically 6 players taking up half their cap space): SEA, DEN, GB, P…

At first I thought the original round tender offer Pace put on Meredith was just him being cautious with somewhat unproven WR returning from injury. I now believe his intentions all along were to secure Meredith for a few years on a reasonable contract, perhaps around $5-7mil per year. Meaning he'd like him to sign an offer from another team so he can match it. If he does not, Pace can still offer that kind of a deal for Meredith, perhaps something in the 3 yr range that gets him back to FA when he's still young enough (he's 25 now) to really capitalize on it but also gives him enough now that he's financially secure for life. Cam offers versatility (x, y, and z)…

Right now, with current records, we only have one game vs a prospective playoff team (LAR), and 3 games against potential playoff teams (GB and MIN x2). If we split the division and go 3-2 the rest of the way, beat the teams with 2 or less wins (BUF, SF, NYG) and lose to LAR, that's 6-3 the rest of the way without too much stretching. Week 9 at BUF (2-5) - Bills are coming off a MNF game and a short week. They have scored 81 pts on the season in 7 games. We should and need to dominate this game. I would consider resting Mack and Robinson again if they are not 100%. 5-3. Week 10 vs DET (3-4) - Lions games are always determined by which team or Stafford shows up. Are…

They are gonna face an extremely pissed off Offense. And man how bad are they? 12 points against detroit? and the TD was a bomb and mistackle to Berrian, needed a last second field goal at home? Yikes

So I'm sitting at the Kona airport waiting for my connection to Honolulu and had some time to think. Dick LeBeau has resigned from the Steelers but said he doesn't plan on retiring. I know he's old but doesn't seem to age. What if be was interested in being a HC? I like that he's been around awhile so he has street cred and might attract some good young eventual coordinator prospects. Most here loved Cowher and the two of them spent some quality time together. What if?

I believe most all would agree, LT is the most difficult position on the OL. It is hard enough for a rookie to start at LT, and w/ each missed practice, Wiliams chances might drop a bit more. Further, we are reading how St. Clair is "supposedly" looking pretty good at LT. I wonder if there is a chance Williams is moved inside for the season. If he can't beat out St. Clair at LT, I have a hard time seeing him sitting on the bench. Lovie doesn't talk like he will simply start Williams, regardless how he looks, though we all know better than to take Lovie at his word. Still, I wonder if a move inside isn't possible. Many other 1st round OTs were initially moved …

More fun with tampering: Bears met with Peppers' agent Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 2, 2010 11:03 PM ET The Bears have taken an illegal running head start towards free agency, according to the Chicago Tribune. David Kaplan reports that the representative for Julius Peppers, Carl Carey, met with Bears brass during the NFL Scouting Combine. Carey has only one active contract in the NFL, so he's not just chit-chatting. We know: this stuff happens all the time. It happens so much, the word "tampering" isn't even in the Tribune's story. Denials will come swiftly Wednesday, but the league has to have a problem when their rules are flaunted so public…

I just wanted to make a general thread for news and notes coming out of the combine. Here are some general tidbits to prepare you for the combine: Combine Dates (22-28 FEB 12) 1. Players are broken down into 11 groups: Group 1 (PK, ST, OL), Group 2 (OL), Group 3 (TE), Group 4 (QB, WR), Group 5 (QB, WR), Group 6 (RB), Group 7 (DL), Group 8 (DL), Group 9 (LB), Group 10 (DB), Group 11 (DB). 2. All groups have basically the same schedule covering 4 days, but the groups arrive on different days. Groups 1-3 arrive on the 22nd, Groups 4-6 on the 23rd, Groups 7-9 on the 24th, and Groups 10-11 on the 25th. 3. The days are broken down: Day 1: Travel, Regis…

Woman alleges Adam 'Pacman' Jones punched her at Atlanta strip club NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A woman is seeking an arrest warrant against suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, claiming he punched her at an Atlanta strip club. Fulton County Magistrate Court officials told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Wanda S. Jackson asked for the warrant after a Jan. 3 altercation at the Body Tap Strip Club. Jackson, an attorney, says in her filing that she was in the club's office when an angry Jones accused managers of stealing his money and bracelet. "I was sitting in the office and he lunged at me numerous times in an effort to do grave bo…

Some Bye Week fun, I was thinking about the Anthony Miller draft-day trade; at first when it occurred, I thought Pace had the right idea, we would get a WR a year early with the following year's WR corps looking fairly weak (even though we got Ridley in the 4th). However, now over a year removed from that decision, did Pace pick the wrong player? DJ Chark and Mark Andrews were both available when Miller was selected. What if the Bears just stayed at #105? The best skill player selected after that slot is probably SEA TE Will Dissly, so if they picked him, they would still have their 2019 2nd rounder where guys like McLaurin, Metcalf, and Hardman were still availabl…
