So Freeman, Trevathan, and Kwiatkowski. What can be done? Is our promising rookie going to be languishing on the bench next year? Merely rotational? I'd hate to see Kwiatkowski wasted now that he's shown so much potential. It's a situation we have not had to deal with for a while.

Matt Forte was seen limping off the field during today's OTA - he didn't return. It all happened a few minutes before the practice ended, so the fact that he didn't come back from the locker room may not mean much. Turner on the injury: "I don't think there's any concern...I think he'll be fine.''

The goal is to eliminate the problem in previous Maddens where every halfway-decent starter had to be at least in the high 80s. This year the range of ratings for starters is going to be something more like 70-100, instead of 85- or 90-100.

I was just browsing though the colunmists blogs for the papers and caught that Williams hurt his back and walked off under his own power. Not good.

All I have to say is Bryce Williams was a name thrown around as a mid-round possibility. PASS He looks soft, lacking definition, zero explosion, and his 40 was slow. --EDIT-- And a ball hit him in the face. Right through his hands. No thanks.

tonight seals the Bears fate because they play Minny next week. One of those teams will end up will have 8 wins at that point (unless they tie). Peace

Figuratively, if the Bears could get 1 player from the Packers, who would you want them to get? Raji: a dominating DT who would fill an obvious missing piece in the middle of the Bears DL. Rodgers: the Bears have a QB and in the midst of tons of stars from the Packers as options, Rodgers is a long shot, but would he be worth it? Matthews: another longshot just because the Bears are a 4-3 and he feeds off being an OLB in a 3-4, but again would he be worth it? Jennings: he would immediately be the missing #1 WR the Bears have lacked for years. Bulaga: a young OT who would fill the Bears most pressing need. Other: is there someone else on your mind?

I am extremely happy with the development of our WRs. Hester, Bennett, and Knox have all stepped up big time. I do not see this as a need next yr. I would say FA and the draft should concentrate on: - Offensive line - Defensive backfield Get a top tier OL in FA and then draft best available of the 2 in the 3rd and 4th round. Peace

Cutler looked different on Saturday, I cant pinpoint but he had a different look in his eyes. He looked to be moving in the pocket better, a couple of times he made the smart move and ran with it instead of forcing a throw. On the play were he lowered his shoulder and tried to bull rush his way into the endzone it just looked like he was trying to make a statement. Preseason or not he was going all out. Did anyone else get the same feeling or was it the beer I was drinking???

PFF came out with their TEs ranking for 2025. Kmet is ranked 29th. OK, this year is going the way it is going. Down the tubes fast. And with our current QB's on the roster I don't see any way they will help us in the future. They will keep playing Mitch for the rest of the year but I don't see him as the answe going forward. We have an above average defense and it seems like good offensive with the running backs and wide receivers on the roster. If Burton can get back to normal health he is serviceable for the next two+ years. The offensive line is a problem but I think with a 2nd round pick or two it will work its way into above average. Two me that leaves us a QB short with only a few years window open for a good playoff run. …

Heard Trent Dilfer talking QB's yesterday. Of one of the topics, he said Cutler would join the ELITE club this year. He talked about his tougness and maturity. Even mentioned that his body language changed. We all know Cutler has great talent, but I saw what Dilfer saw last year. Looking for great things from JC this year!

Among this WR class Claypool is way down the list and is ranked as a 4-6th Rd pick. As a WR he's not really running away from anyone but he's still got good enough speed to get deep. At 6'4" and reportedly around 230lbs is he a good fit for the U-TE position Burton plays?
