I'm hoping to hear that at least one of the three rook LB's we just drafted "hits like a ton of bricks and has an outstanding nose for the football." It would be great if they said that about all of them... I'm expecting to hear Alshon is "all that" and a slice of cheese. I'm hoping to hear that Hardin is out there. Did he show up in April, I can't recall? I'm also expecting to hear something like "the tremendous depth we have now in the OL is going to make for great competition". They mentioned this on NFL Live today but i didn't see it posted anywhere. He has had a very long recovery from his hip surgery but at least he's finally cleared for full practice.

Another member of that famous 65 draft though he came in undrafted and turned out to be one of the Bears most electric returners who some say never called for a fair catch. He wasn't bad as a corner either and I have to tell you all that between Gayle Sayers and Devin Hester, he, Cecil Turner and Ike Hill were some guys who were exciting on returns for the Bears back in the day. Ron Smith was fearless on punt returns and he was one of my childhood favorites. He succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70 but, his 30+ yd return avg in 72 got him voted to the Pro Bowl as a return specialist.

I thought they did a good job, didnt always agree with them, but worth checking out,especially around draft time.

After Cutler came out and made statements about the OLine, Webb told the press he would be ready to play that all off season he has been "eating and drinking football" and has Cutlers back. It thats the case, last year he must have been on a fasting diet.

With all the off season moves we made IMHO we have the chance to be a really good team from position to position. I think at maybe the secondary will be our only weakness.
