Bears wideouts produced biggest day since '04 Posted: 9/17/2009 2:57 p.m. Jay Cutler has been widely criticized following the first four-interception game of his NFL career Sunday night in Green Bay. But the Bears quarterback helped his young wide receivers post big numbers in the loss to the Packers. Earl Bennett (7 receptions for 66 yards), Devin Hester (4-90) and Johnny Knox (2-82) combined for 238 yards, the most by Bears wide receivers in a game since Nov. 24, 2002 when Marty Booker (10-157), Dez White (8-106), Ahmad Merritt (3-24) and Marcus Robinson (1-3) generated 290 yards in a 20-17 overtime win over the Lions.

http://sturminator.blogspot.com/2010/04/co...raft-board.html PFT posted this topic. While this is fascinating, I found it particularly interesting they had Corey Wooton listed as the 3rd best player in the 3rd round. Meanwhile, they had Major Wright listed as the 14th player in the 4th round.

I hope we aren't about to give him big money. He wasn't really all that great last year. If this is more just bringing a stabilizing veteran who can help teach some young safeties while we clean house, fine, but lets not tie a bunch of money up in Rolle. We should be aiming higher, imo.

Round1 - Alec Ogletree ILB Ga - With Urlachers days numbered, the Bears need to find a new center fielder to cover the middle. Emery has also stated that in round 1, he wants players that can win you games and be the difference maker. I think his speed/athletism will be a big boost to an aging D. They can opt to hold back and take someone like Fluker or Jones and have a solid player, but they are not known as players that can win games by themselves. I think going D in round 1 will give the Bears the freedom to use the rest of the draft rebuild the offense. Round2 - Trade to San Fransico for two 3rds, a 4th, and a 5th. San Fran had an abundance of picks anywa…

I'm not really sure there's much else to say. Apart form the dazzling show that Hester put on to tie the record. Seriously, he deserves major props for his efforts this year on returns. Everyone else on this team needs to check their heart and watch game film of Payton. Including our dipsh#t coaching staff and mangement. Every last one involved in this team... This team is gutless. Heartless. And stupid. Has the clock struck twelve? I think so...

I watched the game with some close friends. We were talking and my friend from college runs a sports bar in chicago that is funded by a bunch of chicago athletes. Well he tells us that on friday night he catered a party for Urlacher at his house. From what he says most of the team was there and they were partying pretty good unitl 3 or 4 in morning. I said bullshit but he had some pretty good details to share. I had seen a interview with Urlacher in his basement and my friend described his basement to the tee. So i wonder if the Bears really were not taking Detroit to serious? Prolly the reason Lovie freaked out at halftime. I hope the Bears are taking NE as serious …

With 3 weeks left, we are in a great spot. NO and LAR both look vulnerable. MIN looked horrible as well. 1. NO 11-2 (@CAR, vs PIT, vs CAR) 2. LAR 11-2 (vs PHI, @ARZ, vs SF) 3. CHI 9-4 (vs GB, @SF, @MIN) 4. DAL 8-5 (@IND, vs TB, @NYG) ------------ 5. SEA 8-5 (@SF, vs KC, vs ARZ) 6. MIN 6-6-1 (vs MIA, @DET, vs CHI) ------------ 7. CAR 6-7 (vs NO, vs ATL, @NO) 8. PHI 6-7 (@LAR, vs HOU, @WAS) 9. WAS 6-7 (@JAX, @TEN, vs PHI) 10. GB 5-7-1 (@CHI, @NYJ, vs DET) Scenarios: 1. 1-win, 10-6, Division winner, 4th seed, more than likely get SEA at home WC weekend. Dallas would have the tiebreaker over us if we both finish at 10-6. 2. 2-wins, 11-5…

1. Tremain Edmunds LB - VT 6'5 250 Edmunds is too versatile to pass. He can play inside or on the edge. Remember Clay Matthews in his prime moving all along the front and always sacking Cutler. This is how I envision Fangio using Edmunds. This is a disruptive playmaker the D needs to become top 5. This is not about adding a great sound ILB which can be had with Smith, but a guy that is a chess piece offenses try to anticipate. 2a. Sam Hubbard OLB/DE - Ohio St 6'5 270 Drafttek has the Bears selecting him also, like Edmunds and it makes sense. Hubbard is not a flashy player but he will do his job 110%. He is a football player and will probably be a lo…
