Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. Bears bringing in Dont'a Hightower to visit and McIntosh....... they also waived Max Komar, so its going to be a LB in the draft or FA. I told Jason a while back that Komar wont see the roster this year......so who is next Sanazenbacher? Maybe if we are targeting a bigger WR like any one over 6'2 like Cutler has asked for. We brought in Randle maybe Hill/Quick and on the radar as well as Floyd if he slips that far to #19.

Just seeing if anyone is going anywhere, besides Chicago, to see a Bears game this year. For example, I know MadLith lives in California so SF or ARZ games are options, and I *think* jason lives in Tennessee, so the Titans game is an option for him. As I'm sure you all know, every year I go somewhere. In 2008, it was Indianapolis, 2009- Seattle, 2010- Carolina, 2011- Denver. The last 2 years I haven't seen Cutler, so maybe I'm a jinx. This year, I'm thinking about driving to GB week 2, and I'm definitely going to Nashville for November 4 vs Tennessee.

I know Nike recently came out with the new jerseys and we all had disagreements on if "classic" jerseys should be modernized, so I ask: what jerseys are your favorite and least favorite around the league? 2 or 3 of each would be fine.

Someone at the TV networks must think we are going to be really good this year and great to watch. In all, the Bears play the NFL’s maximum of five prime time games, with three outings on ESPN’s "Monday Night Football," including contests at the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 21, and the San Francisco 49ers on Nov. 19 in Weeks 4 and 11, and a home date against the Detroit Lions in Week 7.

The Chicago Bears worked out free-agent LBs Zac Diles (Buccaneers), Bryan Kehl (Rams) and Rocky McIntosh (Redskins) LB Gerris Wilkinson (Giants) LB Geno Hayes (Buccaneers)per league sources the past two days. I know we need help at LB but all these guys???

There are reports that OT prospect Mike Adams tested positive at the Combine for Marijuana. This is after being arrested in 2009 for possessing drug paraphenalia and add this to the receiving improper benefits suspension and we have what should be a guy with major character issues. He should not only drop out of the first round but he should be pulled off a few draft boards all together.

  9. Obviously we all hope he has better talent evalution skills for first round talent. But that's not my #1 hope for Phil. You all know I've been harping about the O Line for ages and I'm assuming we'll address it better than JA did in his years at the helm. But no, that's not it either. As far as my biggest hope for a difference from JA, I'd have to say I'd want better luck at avoiding injury-prone guys. I don't know if it was just JA taking flyers on guys with known injury issues or bad health histories, or just bad luck. So there you have it... Draft guys who will actually play some football for us. Sounds pretty basic.

The Bears are making trades and getting players at the needed positions without the draft by way of FA. Does this set them up to make moves by trading picks in the draft to move up or down to get the player they really want. Let say they want Brockers, or Foyd in the first do they trade up if needed to get them or sit tight and let them fall.

I certainly appreciate everything that Hester has done for this team - he's been the only aspect of this team I am consistently excited about. However, given the league changes that minimize the impacts of a returner, the Bears' apparent dissatisfaction with him as a WR (evidenced by the additions of Thomas and Weems, their focus on top WR prospects, and that he had his lowest receptions since his rookie year last year), and the fact that his contract is up in 2013, would you consider trading Hester if the right deal came along? I'm not sure what that would be (3rd round pick maybe?), I just look at the way last season andthis offseason has unfolded, and wonder how expe…

We want BPA in the draft for a change, we want a player who can contribute in 2012. I may disagree with some of the assessments in this article but I love the way it is presented. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/09000d5d828...HP11_hot_topics

We've spent a lot of time on mock drafts that we like, disagree with, like partially, etc., but has anyone put together a bizarro draft? Put together the worst draft you can imagine. Think of the players you hate, the ones that have question marks, the guys that don't fit the Bears' schemes. Slot them appropriately and then draft. For instance, my nightmare draft starts off like this: 1) Stephen Hill, WR, GT - The guy is raw, unproven, has very minimal tape or stats, played in a JV offensive system in college, and is a combine warrior who has flown up draft charts. That's a collection of red flags. 2) Zack Brown, LB, UNC - Head case, lazy, disinteres…

Were getting close to the draft so everybody want to have a say as to who they want and who they think the Bears will pick. It has to be somewhat realistic, like Claiborne, the qbs, the rb, one WR, the LT wont be there. There is a possible one someone dropping but not who I mentioned. For me , it would have to play out but would like Kuechly to drop to us. He is a stud, 532 tackles in three years. He would continue our Legends of LBers we have been lucky to have had, even thou we have more areas of need. Who I think the Bears will draft would be W. Mercilus/DE/ Ill. I think they like him a lot and the other couple of players they may want will be gone.

This is a bit of blend of what I want to happen and what I think will happen, based on my review of Emery's drafts with the Chiefs and Falcons: 1) Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina - I think he'll slide and I think we'll take him. Makes a ton of sense here where one NC lineman with motor concerns can learn from another. 2) Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois - The Bears' comfort with LT turns out to be a bit of a smokescreen. Allen has been moving up and is known as one of the best pass protectors in the draft, just what this team needs. Plus, Emery has a history with Illinois linemen (drafted Jon Asamoah). 3) Brian Quick, WR, Appalachain State - Emery loves big W…

  20. below are some statistics i compiled for the old board about 8 years ago and i have updated the information to date, pre-draft 2012. it lists all players drafted in slots 1-20 in the first round and how they compare to obtaining a quality player drafting in these slots. feel free if you wish to copy this information for your own records but please acknowledge where you got them from as it was an incredible amount of work putting this together. thanks, Lucky Luciano my conclusions after looking at the statistics below i know i am not so sure i wouldn't consider trading up EVERY year into the top 10 if you want the odds on your side with selecting a qual…
