Bears get their first look at RG3, first sightings of Cutler and Forte on the field this season, Chris Williams and J'Marcus Webb supposedly splitting time with the first team at LT.

Desmond Bishop went down holding his knee and couldn't put any weight on it. McCarthy said postgame that they'll be "lucky" if it's nothing serious. (Bishop led the Pack in tackles last year)

After watching the game on DVR, I was able to see a few things. DL - I'm not worried by talent anymore. I really like what I saw from McClellin, Wootten, Davis, Melton and Collins. Seems like we are going to have plenty of push from the interior. Peppers may feast this year. Idonije may lose his starting position to a platoon of Wootten and Mac. Damn, McClellin can close fast. OL - Spencer and E Williams were complete turds - horrible. Louis and Garza looked OK. Now the tackles. None of them looked all that good. C Williams looking the best of the 3. Carimi and Williams engage their assignment much faster than Webb / Williams at tackle. Webb is phys…

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=8971 Rookie receiver Alshon Jeffery followed his impressive performance in Thursday night’s preseason opener with an equally strong effort on the practice field Saturday in Bourbonnais. The second-round draft pick caught three touchdown passes in a red-zone drill, using his 6-3, 216-pound frame to leap high over defensive backs in the corner of the end zone on all three plays. Bears rookie second-round draft choice Alshon Jeffery catches a pass in practice. “As you look at receivers you want to see production,” said coach Lovie Smith. “From OTAs we were talking about how good his hands w…

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...rlacher-limited I thought he was 100%. 100% to me means the knee is perfect. If he is having to ice and sit out that would lead me to believe that his knee is not 100%. I hurt my knee but needed surgery. My knee was never the same. I also hurt my knee another time that only required rehab. After rehab once I was 100% i never missed anything or had to ice. My knee was 100%. Hope his knee holds up this season Edit= Starting to get worried. Hope it is nothing.

http://www.chicitysports.com/2012/08/10/ob...ner-vs-broncos/ Some observations that I jotted down during the game. Hopefully this will reach the eyes of somebody who didn't have time to watch the game or couldn't.

it sucks to see other potential 1st round draft picks excelling (per Rotowolrd): The Bears were linked to Coples, Mercilus, Ingram, and Jones at some point before the draft. I really hope McClellin proves the doubters wrong, but right now he is sort of behind the power curve.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ APDespite the fact that Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher has returned to camp, he still isn’t practicing. Thus, the team is making plans for the possibility of an ongoing inability to practice and play, adding a pair of linebackers on Saturday. Joining the team are Xavier Adibi and K.C. Asiodu. Adibi, a middle linebacker who has played for the Texans and Vikings, entered the league as a fourth-round draft pick from Virginia in 2008. Minnesota claimed Adibi on waivers last September, after he was released by the Texans, who were switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4. He started five games as a rookie and…

They've been horrible so far. - In the ATL/BAL game, the refs called Atlanta "Arizona" at least 4 times. - In the Bears game, I counted 4 missed holding calls FOR EACH TEAM. - In the GB/SD game, Nick Perry had a sack and got a 15 yard penalty for NOTHING afterwards. - In the BUF/WSH game, they called a punt that was downed at the 4 a touchback.
