In this one, we are in the Nickel with only Briggs and Bostic at LB. Mundy is on the TE and shadowing him in motion. Bostic has the QB and contain on the left. Briggs has the other gap. As Allen rushes and seals the right edge, Briggs shoots the gap on the other side of the Center leaving a massive hole for Jackson to run through. Briggs flops in the backfield unblocked (#2).

The prize is Houston , I think we're waiting for him to accept an offer and his other options. There are a few other edges out there. Shane Ray and Derrick Morgan had some good years but injuries have produced very little the last few years. Then lynch could be back. I think the Houston signing could be problematic on the growth of Floyd who could have his much waited for breakout year. So I think it comes down to money for Houston.

Things I've noticed in TC videos: -Alot of passes are going to the TEs, all 3 of them, nice -We are running alot of screens -Several "Wolfe up the middle plays" =/ -Forte looks alot faster and agile than he looked in the college videos I saw right after the draft -Pass protection is scaring me, Qbs are having to step up a whole lot with not much time

1. The offense is still a work in progress. Cutler just wasn't on the same page with the WR's + Forte. 2. Forte and Bush had no lanes to run through. 3. Jeffery had a TD drop with Cutler and a 1st down drop with Campbell. That's unacceptable. For as much heat as McClellin takes, Jeffery was just as unimpressive yesterday. 4. I'm sure there have been some, but who have we lost because we couldn't afford to re-sign them, or wouldn't shell out to do so? Everyone was up in arms about Briggs a few years ago. The Bears tried to sign him early, but he wouldn't do it. They tried again just before FA. Made a sound offer, but he turned it down. He felt he was worth so much more. Seems his market was not as high as he thought, and finally he returned to the team he said he would never play for again to take whatever they offered. I would like to hear some thoughts on drafting him with our pick in Rd 2? One of the mocks on Walterfootball has us taking him there. There's not a lot of game tape on him but he seems to have the athletic skills you need at OT. We need to be talking about the 2nd Rd OTs because if we go best available in Rd 1 as Emery and Trestman said they want to do, then this is a realistic possibility. Also in this area is Terron Armstead who opened some eyes with his faster than Te'o 4.71 forty.
