http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/ I was watching his highlight tape on the Bears' site (above link) and I have to admit he has one of the most impressive plays I've seen from an offensive player without the ball. On one TD play at the 37sec mark he gets three blocks, falling down on the last one but gets right up and goes after a 4th block but can't quite get there. I am guessing this is what the Bears saw from him, not so much his inline blocking but his open field blocking. Forte should love this and again, it's one more reason to put the contract difference into an incentive because it is now more likely to be earned. I like what Clutts did for us…

In preparation for the Senior Bowl, McClellin asked his agents Bruce and Ryan Tollner of REP1 Sports what he could do to improve his hand punch. They hooked him up with mixed martial arts trainer and television personality Jay Glazer and his partner, former Ultimate Fighting champion Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell. "He comes in looking like Richie Cunningham," Glazer said. "I told Chuck, 'Let's have some fun with him. Push him. Scare the hell out of him. Get your crazy eyes going and let's see if we can make him cower down.' We took turns on him in a Greco-Roman drill that is body on body work." Some of the other draft prospects Glazer has worked with have waved the…

I know I've been absent from the board for most of the season but work had called. I still have been fuming over what transpired the last 2 months or so. Here are the Top-10 things that need to happen prior to 2012 if we have any hope: 1. Jerry Angelo needs to go before the draft. If McCaskey want's to make a name for himself on this team, this must be done. JA has pissed draft after draft away and they can't afford to let him shyt the bed again. JA has neglected to get a decent second string. He hasn't taken into account injuries occur or people won't pan out. 2. Martz and his offense need to go. For the last 2 years, they haven't clicked until 5-6 weeks …

  8. Ignore all the mocks from guys who don't have inside knowledge. We now know how the GMs ranked the NFL prospects this year. Now that they're positioning is known, who would you have drafted? 1. Reilly Reiff - OT - Iowa: I'm still amazed the Bears took, at best, the 4th rated DE, one who comes with question marks addressed by numerous publications, over the 2nd rated OT with minimal downside. 2. Alshon Jeffery - WR - SC: Nothing changed about the trade up or the selection. Easily the best pick of the draft. 3. Brandon Thompson - DT - Clemson: This guy is a beast, quick first move, solid production, killed it at the combine. He is good enough that he would h…

  12. I have to say I like emery just a hair more than ja... at least he addressed our wr core I loved the jeffery pick but that is about it lol... we will see one thing I do have to ask why the hell does it seem like only us fans and commentators and analysts and pretty much everyone else other than the gm and coaches see that our o line sucks??? I mean its EVERY YEAR it would be different if it was just every so often but cmon man the line sucks it don't matter that we got rid of martz and his seven step drops because half the time culter was either knocked on his ass or running for his life by his secord or third... our line sucks and it has to do with our coaches and evalua…

I was listening to ESPN Radio this morning and they were talking to McNutt about the whole draft process and how it felt to fall to the 24th pick in the 6th round when he was expected to go no later than the 4th round. Out of the entire piece, the only thing of interest was that he got a call from the Bears before their pick in the 6th round and they asked him why he thought he had fallen that far. I guess they did not like his answer since they picked Frey and he went 10 picks later to Philly. It was just interesting to hear about some other names the Bears contacted and didn't draft.

Just read on NFL.com what we all suspected, and hoped for, that the Bears are going to change Hester's role in the offense and he will be basically a #4 WR to come in on certain situations, packages. Here is a link to the article: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d828c..._headline_stack

Our number one pick was asked if chasing chickens on the farm compares to chasing NFL quarterbacks. And his answer was"Well, you have to have agility to chase chickens," he said, "so I guess it's similar." I just hope he makes chickens out of Rodgers and Stafford and the rest of the QB'S we face this year. The man was chasing chickens......thats hard!!. But there is a high school team down in Florida that does their training by running after rabbits. Now you're ass has got to be fast to catch a rabbit!

Since the draft didnt do anything for us there still are some veterans out there. Hanyesworth-a worth ethic problem, but if fire lit under his ass, as a NT you slide Paea over to 3 tech, as I remember when drafted he was quick enough to play there. Franklin-older vet that would only be a NT, see first note Bernard-older vet that would only be a NT, see first note J. Miller- on the roster, not yet given the chance, has interesting speed Cameron-UFA signing that probably wont make the roster Sign A Carter and move Ildonije to DT, only if McClellin pans out Not a lot of choices, unless others DL are dropped as the draftees players fill ther…

CNNSI gives the Bears a C. Fox Sports says C-. And Fox News (how is it different?) gives a C+ TBO Sports calls stays in the same shot group with a C. Bleacher Report gave an uncharacteristic A. CBS Sports is the only one that seems to dislike the Jeffery pick, and gives a C. Miami Herald has questions about all the picks, C+ AOL gives an A-, and thinks the additions push the vets. FF Toolbox gave the Bears a D, and have some sort of scoring system I didn't even try to understand Rotoworld gives the Bears a B+, and calls McClellin a "Joker" Looks like the draft, if multiple opinions are to be considered, is pretty much a C.
