@vxmcclure23: As reported, Marion Barber apparently told folks he doesn't expect to be back. He also moved out of his Chicago-area apartment, source said.

Haugh had a nice article this morning in the tribune( I am to computer stupid to transfer the article here), about Emery and suggested we are a good Oline away from being a very good team.

Hate it. http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2012.php 1. Kendall Wright, WR/KR, Baylor 2. Dwayne Allen, TE, Clemson 3. Brandon Washington, G/OT, Miami 3. Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia 4. Shaun Prater, CB, Iowa 5. Jaye Howard, DT, Florida If the draft played out like this, what would rather see happening with how the players are slotted? I'd rather see: 1. Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State: Possible BPA at #1 need 2. Nick Toon, WR, Wisconsin: The early 2nd round run on WRs hurt 3. Jerel Worthy, DT, Michigan State: He has potential and the quick burst Lovie wants in a DT. 3. Markelle Martin, FS, Oklahoma State: I think he's actually the …

With all the negativity surrounding his play Glennon accepted his demotion with more class and dignity than anyone has in the past other than Kurt Warner when the Giants put Eli Manning in for him. Glennon vowed to help Trubisky any way he can and be ready if called upon again. That's putting team before personal goals magnified.

Rank the coaching candidates based on who you think is the best fit. I'll explain my top 3 Mine: 1- McCoy 2- Dennison 3- Trestman 4- Sullivan 5- Bevell 6- Arians 7- Carmichael 8- Clements 9- Toub 10- Decamillas The rest-- Hell no! Top 3: 1- McCoy Type of offense: Shotgun heavy passing attack/short-medium, mix of power running and zone running concepts + Adaptable + Gets the most out of a QB + Experience working with Peyton Manning + Young and hungry - Best year statistically as an offense is this season under Manning - Uncertainty over how much control he has over play calling 2- Dennison Type o…

This O-Line is now locked in for a few years. As long as they figure out who starts at LT (Jones/Trapilo), I like having this type of continuity.

  9. Chris Simms is signing with Denver, as per PFT. He wouldn't have been great, but I liked the idea of having him as a back-up, and I really don't think we'll spend the money for Leftwich. Khalif Barnes is meeting with Oakland. He's the last tackle available who'd be an upgrade over St. Clair. (At least he's still in the mix . . . ) Jermaine Phillips, the top safety available, is meeting with the Chargers & Seahawks. I just view back-up QB, safety, WR, and o-line as MAJOR problems we need to address in the draft AND free agency. We're so damn thin we need two of each position. My optimism is fading fast.

For a late round pick. 6'1, 301. DT from Tampa Bay. I remember he was taken 35th overall a few drafts ago out of UCLA. Supposedly, he's a headcase. He punched a teammate last year. He's been in the NFL for 2 years, and had 0 sacks his first year and 3 last year.

  13. it sucks to see other potential 1st round draft picks excelling (per Rotowolrd): The Bears were linked to Coples, Mercilus, Ingram, and Jones at some point before the draft. I really hope McClellin proves the doubters wrong, but right now he is sort of behind the power curve.

RT @vxmcclure23: While Bears are sure to look into OL and TE in free agency, word around combine last month was they wanted to secure a true fullback, too.

Free agent Julius Peppers reportedly will refuse to sign a long-term contract with any club not on his four-team wish list "under any circumstance." Adam Schefter notes that Peppers already turned down a deal from Carolina that would've trumped Jared Allen's, so he's not playing games. The Broncos, Packers, Chiefs, and Dolphins are positioned the best to get him. Source: NFL.com

  18. Very intersting. Angelo did say it isn't like the Cutler talks, specifically mentioning that it isn't just the compensation, but the money which is an issue. Pay close attention to this one though, imo.
