how much room is there to really go after free agents? there will be some interesting players out there.

If we trade down I think we only have two possible partners. The Giants have 29-----------45----------60. They need a WR, OLB, and another RB add to the mix. Would they want a WR that would be there at 18 enough to give back 29 and 60 for? The Patriots have 23----------34--------47 They need to add a couple of young LBs to help Mayo. Vrabel gone and Bruschi will turn 36. Would they give us 23 and 60 if Cushing or Maualuga drops to us would they pull the trigger?

I would assume not. I would like to see Forte come in for a couple of plays just to get 1000 yards but I don't see any reason to play either of them other than that. Peace

Comparing the Bears roster to the rest of the league by position group, they only have 5 players in the top 10 at their position in terms of AAV, Thuney, Jonah Jackson, Kmet, Odeyingbo (as Edge2), and Gordon (as Slot CB). Technically, Gordon is the highest-paid Bears player in relation to the rest of the NFL as the 2nd highest paid Slot CB. Odeyingbo is the next as the 3rd highest Edge2, then Thuney at 7, Jackson and Kmet at 8. Gordon's is the only deal that will be that high for another few years. Just changed the entire future of the NFC North with one play. Played the game of his life tonight. 3 sacks, and multiple pressures. Hats off to him. Hopefully this gets him going. There are reports that OT prospect Mike Adams tested positive at the Combine for Marijuana.This is after being arrested in 2009 for possessing drug paraphenalia and add this to the receiving improper benefits suspension and we have what should be a guy with major character issues. He should not only drop out of the first round but he should be pulled off a few draft boards all together.

We probably all saw this one coming. I just hope they don't spend a first or second rounder to replace him or Forte like they did Marshall last year. He's near the top as all around TE's go despite an off year.
