This is something I can't remember anyone bringing up before (which means it's probably been brought up 1000 times.) But as we talk about bringing in impact players, our history would indicate that we wouldn't give a rookie the chance to play. Yes it's happened before with this staff but only when there was nobody else available (Kyle Orton & Trumaine McBride). Probably the most blatant examples of this were how long it took us to get Hester involved during the 2006 season. Hell, the season was half-way over before we let him start returning kick-offs. Not to mention the way Greg Olsen often dissappeared this year. This theory could also explain why we n…

Arthur Blank...Look at where the last 2 organizations that have hired big time college coaches who move along for the money have wound up...you and the Dolphins. STAY AWAY. He'll come up, lose for a year or two, and then be right back being worshipped by some big money college team in the SEC. And Carroll...you're out of your mind if you take that job, I don't care what the money says.

Anybody know where to find one? On youtube I can just find them all with music and with the faint voices, but I want it so I can hear the Tirico call from the Arizona game last year...

I had forgotten my username which is different than my display name and the password recovery function for some reason never worked. Anyway, just wanted to get this off my chest: Damn it sucks to see Green Bay in the NFC championship while we sit here and talk about drafting O lineman next year =**(

FREE AGENT UPDATE: WLB Lance Briggs is history, even though he's a productive player, he's not getting Brian Urlacher money from the Bears, and his off-the-field problems with driving and paternity haven't helped endear him to the organization. WR Bernard Berrian had a problem with drops in the first half of the season, but he put up impressive numbers considering the QB situation. Chicago would like to have him back, but the feeling may not be mutual, and the Bears will not get into a bidding war for him. QB Rex Grossman may want a fresh start after the intense scrutiny he's had to deal with for the past two years. If the price is right, the Bears will keep him…

That the Giants are in the Superbowl. We should have beat the piss out of them when we played. We started off on fire using the hurry up and then just stopped using it. I was very pissed off after that game. I hope that the Superbowl is a good game. Werid question : Has anyone been kicked out of Soliders Field?

Once again Richard Dent was overlooked for the Hall of Fame. Damn! Super Bowl MVP and a monster at DE. If Manibal made it Dent definitely should be there. Was this his last shot?

I bitched when we dumped David Terrell because he was our #1 WR & we seemed to have no back-up plan. I don't remember how long it took, but it seemed like within the next week, we'd signed Moose. We obviously dumped DT knowing we'd get Moose or someone similar. So what's our plan now? Is it: a) Marty Booker: The most obvious choice, but who knows? Resign Berrian: Very possible. But why are we waiting on the announcement? c) The unknown: There's rumors Detroit wants to trade Shaun McDonald. There will be other WR's available also. Predictions????

Okay, I am going to say upfront. This is from PFT, but while there are some haters out there, PFT is a pretty good source for rumors, and an excellent source (IMHO) for number crunching and legal analysis. Anyway, here is their list for all teams cap space. We are shown to have about $20m in cap space, which jives w/ LT2, but does not reflect the recent moves, so I would put another $10m in space on top of that. Three teams (Carolina, Wash and Indy) are over the cap and will have to restructure and/or make cuts just to be under, much less make moves. CURRENT 2008 CAP NUMBERS PROJECTED PER-TEAM CAP: $116,000,000 Arizona Cardinals $109,500,000 …

per the Suntimes. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear23.article Peace

I would love to do his mock contest again this year to regain my title.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3265157 Former 1st rounder getting traded now for a 6th rounder. What a shame. I'm afraid this could be the precursor of the Vikings making a hard push for Berrian when the time comes.

As per the SCORE, Bernard Berrian is NOT going to Oakland, and is staying in Minnesota for at least one more night.

From PFT That is a TON of coin...Was he worth that much??

Worst QB, Worst RB, Worst OL, Worst recieving corps in the entire league wow!

I suppose he will be released soon with the addition of Turner.

Anyone see this on ESPNews? Hopefully it's on YouTube or something. Did he forget who his new QB is?

Now that pitt just threw down a ton of money on big ben I hope there's a way we can poison pill them with starks and steal him away like we did tait. NFL network listed them in bad cap condition. If we get starks and another fa o-linemen(olivea, or the guard from Tennessee) we'd be free to take someone like mendenhall or stewart with 14. The rb crop of fa is thin and I don't want a washed up j. jones. Go for the youth to compete with benson send him a signal that he's not getting it done, draft mendenhall!

The Larry Fitzgerald-to-the- Eagles trade scenario takes on new intrigue daily, with a report surfacing Friday that the Eagles have submitted a trade offer to Arizona to obtain the Pro Bowl wide receiver. The Cardinals and Fitzgerald have hit an impasse in contract renegotiations, according to The Arizona Republic, which also reported that the Eagles have offered cornerback Lito Sheppard and wide receiver Reggie Brown as trade bait with hopes of forcing the Cardinals to deal away the wideout if they can't reach an agreement to restructure his contract. A league source confirmed to The News Journal that the Eagles have proposed a trade to Arizona, but the source …

What do you guys think? Is he fast enough to counter Benson's style?
