  2. I saw that the 49ers won. They were at home and from a recap on either NFL network or espn one of the guys said that SF has played a lot better at home. So we have them at home which should help but this game may a little tougher then I had first thought. Just hoping to get some thoughts on how well SF is playing right now.

I went to the 2nd practice and I thought Cutler looked like Robbie Gould. This concerned me. He says it was to imrpove his mobility, except he was pretty damn mobile to begin with and Martz doesn't want his QB's leaving the pocket. So why did he slim down? Meanwhile the media is saying Cutler looks great and worked hard to slim down. The thing is, to me Cutler always looked like a big strong athlete who could take a beating and get up. Now he's built more like Robbie Gould. I'm sitting here trying to think of times/situations where players wanted to lose weight and it was a good thing. Marcus Harrison: Good. The fat OT from Minny: Good. Tony Mandari…

I will see things on the internet and want to drop the info but doesnt fit in a specific thread. Mike Lombard in regularly on the SCORE during football season. He has always condemned Justin Fields and his NFL potential. He was on the McAfree Show and they were talking about Jordon Love and the Packers. He said everyone is underestimating Love and the team. Then was asked about the Bears and said that he doesnt see Fields having the ability to be a top QB in this league. He makes a comment and even thou the upside of Fields has changed, has to double down on his first comments so he can be the smartest guy in the room. He's a PUD. as a Bears fan&gt…

NFL Network can really get under your skin sometimes. I swear if i have to listen to one more analysis of God's other son (Aaron rodgers) im gonna puke. Preseason is a joke, ok so throw a bunch of TDs against milk base defenses, wonderful. Jamie Dukes and even my man Mike Mayock let me down all this week with the lovefest. This goes beyond any rivalry week, i have never hated the packers as much as the vikings, Ill admit, But i seriously want our guys to anilate these toothless cheese clowns on national television. I hope Cutler throws 300 and 3TDs just so they shutup. Dom Capers is apparently a desciple of Rodgers cuz now their defense is wonderful as well. Its getting a…

Per Len Pasquerelli of ESPN.com It isn't quite as good as him actually getting released, but if it is true it is good to see the Bears aren't thinking that this was just a bad season for Arch and that they can still plan on counting on him next year. Sans the oline and the hiring of a good OC, their isn't a more important need on this squad than the safety position. Bob Sanders is going to be a FA (was watching a piece about him on ESPN today) and the reality is safeties don't tend to get ridiculous money. So my question is this, if the Bears only had enough money to do the following, what would you do, if the Bears could only give big money to 3 guys t…

Don't get me wrong, I certainly recognize that Mendy is the better prospect, and the "hometown boy" and could very well be a better player in the pros. I was also a little disappointed we didn't get him. But as far as the skills they bring, they both are basicially one-year wonders who catch the ball well and don't have great timed speed. Forte is more suspect coming from a lower level of competition, but he's also coming from a more pro-style offense, from what I've seen. But, looking at the combine numbers, they seem pretty similar to me: Forte Mendy Height 6'1" 5'10" Weight 217 225 40d 4.44 4.41 2…

So when you look at Fields career stats, they look terrible, historically bad from a passing perspective for a QB that has played in as many games as he has in his first two years. However, he had a 10-game stretch last season (decent sample size) which I think is his floor going into this year. That stretch was Week 4 to Week 14 last year, 10 games in a row that he played in. He only had one game below 50 yards rushing (47) and one game below 150 yards passing (123). Here are his totals: 147-229, 1751 yds, 64.2%, 13 TD, 6 INT, 116-905, 7 TD If you take those numbers, compute the per game average, then apply it to a full 17-game season, he would end up with…

  19. Comparing position groups, the teams look fairly similar outside of one or two players. QB - Burrow (coming off ACL) vs Fields RB - Mixon/Perine vs Monty/Herbert TE - Uzomah vs Kmet WR - Chase/Higgins/Boyd vs Mooney/Pringle/Harry/Jones OL - Williams/Spain/Carman/Hopkins/Reiff vs Reiff/Whitehair/Patrick/Schofield/Jenkins WR Group is where the Bengals have a huge advantage ceiling, however, they didn't really have a WR4. For O-Lines, the Bears have a better O-Line than the Bengals did last year. You can call the other 3 groups washes, so Cincy has a slight advantage on offense due to the skill level of their top 3 WRs. Mooney would be the only one of ours …
