I have no doubt over half the members who post here will be moaning and groaning, some totally ballistic, about the Bears selections. Happens every year, we all have our favorites, guys we want drafted, but unfortunately they are seldom selected. I just hope this year we can keep it all in perspective and give Emery a chance to prove his worth without making rash judgements saying he is a failure because he did not pick who we want and making selections he feels will be best for the Bears, this year and the future.

Our Defense has been good/great for awhile, the difference this year is Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jefferies. They have been helping us with first downs/time of possesion, which helps out the defense able to rest more. Boy did I hate the last 10 years when the offence kept getting 3 and outs and watching the defense get up off the bench like " Man can we get a little more rest"? Last night when Tillman got the pass interferance call in the endzone I thought, and still believe Urlacher tipped the ball and was shocked that lovie or the announcers did not notice this. 1. How much faith do you put into the overall rankings of the fanspeak player lists? 2. Is there one list you prefer/trust over another? I only ask because I did one mock with the fanspeak rankings, and got some ridiculous values. I didn't even think it was worth sharing because it was so crazy. If the Bears want to turn the corner, they need to start a path and go with it. Without a QB they are only making circles. They should hire Mike McCoy to be the OC if he does get fired, re-sign AJ long term and draft offense. On Defense, they have some pieces and are respectable but can use a DE, CB, and S to take that step into top 10 talk. It looks like a dislocated patella, which may also mean a torn ligament (depending on severity). If the ligament is torn, it will require surgery as the knee cap will move around and be very unstable. If he has surgery, he will be out for 8-10 weeks at a minimum. If no torn ligament, he can come back with a brace in a few weeks. He was hurt on a simple QB sneak too, but he couldn't bend his leg. The Madden Curse is for real. You hate to see injuries to any player, but this actually hurts the Bears as KC plays GB next week, then MIN the following week. There is a lot of gloom and doom suggested for this team this year. Here is why that changes this year. #1 They will be healthier this year. Last year the were the worst team in the league for injuries. They lost their starting QB early and as much as we put down Cutler, it would have had much better results with him at QB. #2 We have one of the best RBs in the league. This article has a segment where they talk about how the offensive coaches schemed to double team Ray Edwards (the other Vikings DE) instead of Jared Allen. Allen got two sacks against Pace that game. Pace also got hurt that game and Shaffer came in and we still didn't change our scheme. Turner is coy and won't tip our hand completely for this game though as Turner states we'll be switching off the chip blocks to either DE. I'm glad we have such creative coaches that we do such unexpected schemes like this so we can catch defense off guard.
