For some reason this popped into my brain today and I was surprised there wasn't more mentioned about this during the playoffs. Special teams only seemed to play negative roles in games (SF and BAL) compared to highlights of epic runbacks. For the season, just from watching the games, you knew there would be an impact to most teams with good return games. This is a glorious day to be a Bears fan. They defeated the SB champs handily, very close to an ass whooping, and they did it starting almost all players 3rd round or later while KC was running former 1st and 2nd rounders out there. The Bears end the preseason with a +68 points differential in 3.5 games. That is crazy. They scored 20+ pts and 3 TDs in every game. The defense has multiple TDs in less than 4 games. This would not matter if the Bears had weak starters, but both units look like they are top 10-15. With all the positives, there are still some concerns. So far it feels a little watered down compared to recent years. 3 games decided by 2 TDs or more. WAS seems to be blessed with the best luck. Down by 4, TB fumbles on their own 13 yard line, 4 plays later, WAS scores a TD and never trails again. They won by 3, so that play was the deciding factor and at least a 7 pt swing if not more. The best part of this weekend was seeing the GB frauds get sent packing where Love throws for 3 INTs and 0 TDs. Their only TD drive was when Jacobs accounted for 55 of the 78 yards. The Bears on Tuesday signed safety Sean Cattouse to the practice squad and terminated the practice squad contract of running back Harvey Unga. Cattouse, a Chicago native who attended Hubbard High School, entered the NFL in 2012 with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent from Cal, where he played with Bears safety Chris Conte. Cattouse was a three-time all-conference selection, playing in 49 games with 26 starts and recording 185 tackles, seven interceptions, 17 pass breakups, seven tackles for losses, two sacks and two fumble recoveries.

They need to survive this stretch and come out of it .500 to have a chance at the playoffs. They have LV, GB, TB, SF, PIT, and BAL as their next 6 games. With us having a huge need at WR and being cap tight, we could now get OBJ for 1 mil this year and 13mil the following two. We are getting ready to lose Arob, who can't shake free anyway.
