I'm sitting in the Vegas airport, waiting for my flight to LA to catch the game... And I'm hungover from a bachelor party last night desperate for food. And there is a kiosk with pizzeria UNO from Chicago! I'm more of a fan of the thin, but right now it's nirvana! Bears!

SB Nations latest draft is more to my liking. It addresses all our defense needs and adds some O prospects I think we need. Notes: I think Pryor will be a star in the NFL and after the first 3 S prospects, it may be deep but many wont be able to start first year. We need our draft pick to start so S in the first is a good call. I think Donald is the best prospect at a need position but I suspect he will be gone, so we grab a rotational player in the second round that will have to add stength but has great upside. We need younger CBs and after reading more about this CB, it seems like a good fit. He doesnt have to start his first year so he has…

If this isn't an indictment of Jerry Angelo and Lovie Smith, then I don't know what is. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/i...own-draft-picks I'm even more convinced every single person on this board would have done better making draft selections for the Bears. Finances, free agency, everything else? Probably not. But definitely drafting.

This is a bit of blend of what I want to happen and what I think will happen, based on my review of Emery's drafts with the Chiefs and Falcons: 1) Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina - I think he'll slide and I think we'll take him. Makes a ton of sense here where one NC lineman with motor concerns can learn from another. 2) Jeff Allen, OT, Illinois - The Bears' comfort with LT turns out to be a bit of a smokescreen. Allen has been moving up and is known as one of the best pass protectors in the draft, just what this team needs. Plus, Emery has a history with Illinois linemen (drafted Jon Asamoah). 3) Brian Quick, WR, Appalachain State - Emery loves big W…

Saw that Miller returned to practice after being out with an injury since 11 August. I honestly didn’t know he was injured and not only that but that it was an ankle injury. Knowing he’s had some issues with his shoulder I was curious about his overall injury history. Am I wrong in feeling like I’m seeing the ghost of Kevin White still lurking Bears field? I don’t get the ‘warm and fuzzies’ most of you do about Miller when I see players like Wims and Ridley on the roster.

We can still make it to the playoffs just by a few things happening as listed below but we need to win these last two games! Scenarios that would put Bears in playoffs with a 10-6 record: *A Vikings loss and a Giants loss. *A Vikings loss and two Seahawks losses. *A Giants loss and two Seahawks losses. *A Vikings loss and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out. *Two Seahawks losses and neither the Redskins nor Cowboys win out. There are scenarios in which the Bears could get in with a 9-7 record: *Two losses by the Vikings, Giants and Cowboys. *Two losses by the Vikings, Giants and Redskins. *If the Vikings lose twice an…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...different-ways/ The Bears offense is awful in so many different ways Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 26, 2010 4:02 PM ET "Halftime adjustments" is a generally overrated concept because coaches are making plenty of adjustments before and after halftime anyway. Still, Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz may want to adjust whatever it is he's doing at the intermission. Chicago has been outscored 22-0 in the third quarter this year. Yep, not a single point. "Believe me, we're working to correct that," Bears coach Lovie Smith said via the Chicago Sun-Times. "And we're getting closer. ... We're going to …

You know most men endeavor to rule a kingdom. I am no different. The new GM has a daunting task this offseason and I'm going to play the role. Here's my agenda... 1) Send a letter to Briggs agent, telling Briggs to play this year, keep his mouth shut and we will extend him next year. A message needs to be sent by the new leadership, that stongarm tactics will not be tolerated. However, good play and locker room leadership will be rewarded. 2) Message to players Part II. Find a way to get Forte under contract. This a veteran team and Forte deserves the loyalty of NOT being franchised. A little good will goes a long way in the locker room. 3) Sign …

The Sporting News rated all positions(I didnt find QB yet), and here is where we stacked up. They only showed top 10 RB, Forte was 5th WR, Marshall was 5th QB, I didnt see that ranking, but know Cutler probably wont be listed in top 10 OL, I actually couldnt find any Bears listed, go figure DE, Peppers was #1 DT, nope OLB, Briggs was 7th MLB, Urlacher was 4th CB, nope. Lovie Smith was ranked as the 9th best coach in League.

If this team does not make the playoffs, Lovie and his staff should be fired. Emery should be allowed to bring in who he wants. Peace

I have been watching Bears games for 46 years. The last few years the Press conferences I have watched or read with Lovie were always like watching a valium commercial. But this preseason has been quite different. It appears to me Lovie has taken turn since taking the Defensive play calling. His demeanor has changed, He actually looks to be exited, (at least for Lovie Smith). It also seems that the answers to the question he is asked by reporters are a heap more involved answers and not the same ole "its a process" or "we shall over come" talk. He actually appears to be opening up a bit more and its really nice to see. I dont know if you guys noticed it but I thought I wo…

Oh boy. It is clear that Pace and Nagy are staying, and they affirmed that Trubisky is their guy today. Even worse, when they, and Ted Phillips spoke, they mentioned the offense as a whole, giving examples of bad routes, bad QB choices, bad play calling, and unproductive running. Literally EVERYTHING but the OL. Now I understand, this may mean they are in the market for OL and/or QB and they dont want to telegraph that. So it's hard to read them. But we can look to this past season to see what they adjusted and what they didn't. Apparently, they all have each other's backs. The only possible leadership move this year would be to fire Pace if he wo…
