Being there live, here were my thoughts: -Tebow sucks. He did nothing today. Yes, he threw for 191 yards from the 4th quarter on, but that was because of the defense the Bears were set up in. -Barber was good all game, and then he does s*** you learn not to do in 3rd grade when he went out of bounds. Then, he fumbled in OT when if he would've went down, they'd be attempting a 52 yard FG for the win. -I thought Briggs was great. -Hanie sucks. He's been in the league for 4 years. Make it throw. Quit tucking it away after 2 seconds and either throwing or passing. Step up and make a big boy throw. -Hester does some dumb things. He needs to stay on ST. Even there …

1. If I was Jay Cutler, I would either demand that in the offseason they make a valiant effort to improve the OL or I would demand a trade. He's a human being; how much more of a beating can he take? Meanwhile, they invest $20m/season in him but do nothing to help. They have midgets out there at WR, Kellen Davis can't block, and their OL is trash. 2. Considering the circumstances, I think the defense did fine. The DL didn't get pressure but a lot of Brees' throws were quick ones. If they had more rest, they would've played better. 3. Chris Harris, as anyone today could see, is a key to this defense. The Bears other safeties are dogs***. Extend him and Forte asap…

1. Thank god this travesty of a season is 7 days from being over. 2. Is anyone going to begin to listen to me now when I say it's not even funny to make fun of JA always drafting DE's and DT's? They clearly need help there. Melton and Peppers are the only good players, and even they were MIA today. Toeaina and Idonije suck. 3. McCown was decent enough, I guess. Bell is a keeper IMO. 4. 1. Cutler was great. Aside from his pick-6 and first 10 throws, he finished 20-25 with 320 yards and 2 TD's. 2. Maybe I'm over-reacting but I think Alshon Jeffery will get to 1,000 yards this year. 3. Marshall is a beast. Bennett is a nice compliment to everything the offense has. 4. Putting the first few plays to the side, the OL wasn't too bad. Freeney going out helped too, I'm sure. Spencer is clearly the worst OL they have, however. Maybe it's already time to give Williams a try there? 5. Tim Jennings was awesome today. Peppers and Melton were forces. Briggs was fun to watch.

1. Knox played well on ST. 2. Podlesh wasn't great, and Gould missing that cheapy is a tad scary. 3. The OL was brutal, but I liked what I saw out of Spencer. granted it was vs Buffalo's second teamers. If he isn't the starting C by week 1, I'd be shocked (move Garza to OG, bench Louis, Spencer at C). 4. Enderle was decent, Chris Harris had a huge hit, and Adams played a nice game at WR. Not that I give a s***, but Fantuz didn't touch the field and Sanzenbacher didn't catch a pass. 5. I loved the way Barber ran. Okoye was a beast tonight as well.

1. The offense is still a work in progress. Cutler just wasn't on the same page with the WR's + Forte. 2. Forte and Bush had no lanes to run through. 3. Jeffery had a TD drop with Cutler and a 1st down drop with Campbell. That's unacceptable. For as much heat as McClellin takes, Jeffery was just as unimpressive yesterday. 4. Nobody on the DL besides Peppers can get pressure. The Giants double, sometimes triple, teamed him yesterday and still nobody could step up. That's scary. 5. After Seattle picked Aaron Curry, they removed the franchise tag from Leroy Hill, effectively making him a free agent, since he hadn't yet signed the tender. St Louis put the tag on up and coming FS OJ Otogwe, then drafted a FS at the start of the third round--Bradley Fletcher. Might St Louis remove Otogwe's tag now that they have a cheaper option? Could the Bears pounce? They have the money, they showed that by their inquiry on Boldin.

What are your thoughts on the next crop of HoF QBs? Is the bar going to get tougher with the inflated stats? The top 5 active QBs in passing yards are Brady, Big Ben, Ryan, Rodgers, and Stafford. Obviously, Brady's HoF status is cemented, but it is interesting to see where the other guys fall in. Big Ben is 2nd in active passing yards (62K), is 2-1 in SB's but in those two games, his WR's got the MVPs (Ward and Holmes). He hasn't appeared in a SB in 11 years. Who are some of the top OC candidates out there? Big name I can think of is Gary Kubiak, however, the only way you are getting him is if Shanny is coming too. If the coach is Toub, is there a Reid disciple that he's worked with that he might pull? Clearly wouldn't be someone from the Bears organization, haha. I can think of a lot of good potential DC candidates, but the list would appear to be a lot shorter on the offensive side of the football.

I think we can all agree our OL has sucked this year and has been a key problem for our offense. Many have screamed to build the OL for years, and w/ the OL so bad this year and everyone talking about it, it seemed like our wishes would finally be granted in this offseason. Now I have to wonder. In the last game against Minny, we saw a huge difference from the first game. Williams replaced Pace at LT, and did a pretty damn good job. I know he got a lot of help, but he also blocked Allen one-on-one plenty of times, and more than held his own. Omiyale was unbelievably awful early in the season prior to being benched.
