Denver just traded Peyton Hillis, this years 6th and a late round pick next year for Brady Quinn. Kyle had a good year with us then gets traded away. He put up good numbers last year for Denver and now who know what will happen. Poor guy just cant catch a break.

I would like for him to succeed, but he seems to be struggling. From the Athletic: Seven Shots Drill, is 7 plays from the 2 yard line. Trubisky is now 3 for 20 as the Steelers starting QB. One of the conversions was a Najee Harris run. Now this: Pelissero: Steelers now splitting first-team reps between Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph

Picture this... Biggest game of the year. Overtime. 2nd/26 at the opposing 41, and they have to score at least a FG. (PS. Their kicker sucks.) Your base defense is set. It's all you really know or do because you're not an outside the box thinker. And when you DO make changes, they're not really in reaction to counteracting the offense. They're just changes for the sake of change. But it's all part of the plan! You intend to confuse the opposing QB not with alterations and adjustments, but with the decision of which QB is most open. You've fully explained position to the safeties, but not philosophy. "They're athletes," you think to yourself, "they can…

Signed by the Jags for 6 yrs, 30 million with a 10 million signing bonus. Fairly comparable to the Bears offer to Berrian for 5 yrs 25 million with a 8 million signing bonus. I think Minny is going to offer probably 5 yrs 30 million with a 12 million signing bonus and he will sign on the dotted line. Free agent WRs left that interest me: Bryan Johnson (meeting soon - hopefully we sign him) Reche Caldwell Drew Carter DJ Hackett Jabar Gaffney Keary Colbert Marty Booker Robert Ferguson (if we are desperate) Javon Walker (is he a drillrod; can he stay healthy?) I am really hoping we can sign Johnson. I saw that Wilford signed a 13 million de…

QB - The one thing about Orton I have seen that I love is pocket presence. He simply seems to have a better feel for the pocket. When a defender is closing in on him, he moves to avoid the rush w/o taking his eyes off the field. That is a huge plus. W/ that said, his accuracy leaves much to be desired and while he has arm strength, I do not like how much of a windup he has. Reminds me of Leftwich. I like him for depth, but no more than that. This is still a huge need. I think Rex is gone. Still not sure if this will be McNabb, a rookie or what, but this is a position that must be addressed. McNabb is still my top choice, if he does in fact become tradable.…

PFF has published most of their position group rankings, and I keep seeing multiple Bears on the lists, but in terms of team rankings the Bears are not as high. So right now they have published 11 position groups, and you would hope the Bears would have at least one player per group in the top 32, which would just make them an average team, especially if all the rankings were in the 20s and 30s. For the Bears, they have 16 players listed out of the 11 position groups. Since they didn't have any players listed for DL, that means they had 6 players that are ranked higher than any starter on another team w/o any players listed. They also had 5 position groups with …

From Warren Sharp. He just posted his secondary rankings and the Bears come in at #4. He had the Bears WR Corps at #3, the O-Line at #12 and the Front Seven at #21. So the average of those 4 units is #10. So I don't know what you think of Caleb Williams, the Bears RBs, Santos and Taylor, but they are all at least top half of the league. So saying the Bears have a top 10 roster is not a stretch at all. The Bears also have the 3rd easiest schedule. So if you have the #10 roster and are playing the 3rd easiest schedule, that has to make you a top 8 team right? It is just simple math. That is a 10-11 win team. So projections having the Bears with double digit …

Even as early as it is in the offseason, the Bears have "committed" to at least three position switches that I've seen: Frank Omiyole from OT to OG, Zackary Bowman from CB to FS, and Israel Idonije from DT to DE. While I am aware that often a position switch is both natural and logical (like the move from safety to MLB for Urlacher when he came into the league), it seems to me the Bears make their positions switch decisions based on the present shape of the roster and trying to find a cheap way to solve problems without any real eye towards what is best for the player. Thinking of position switches in recent years for this team, the vast majority of those that were effect…

Just looking at the team pre-draft by position groups, it is hard to see how this team won't be better this year. Here is what I am thinking: QB - Right now a downgrade with only Bagent and Rypien, but should be an upgrade in the passing game and a dip in the running game production post-draft. RB - This group basically went from Foreman to Swift, and Roschon in his 2nd year. That is a clear upgrade and should negate any loss to the rushing game from the QB position. TE - The addition of Everett makes this a clear upgrade. TE3 needs to be a blocking TE. WR - Adding Allen and subtracting Mooney is like a double positive here. I don't think WR3 is a huge need wit…

Looking at the roster this morning. This team is in dire need of talent at S. Then at RG, CB, WR. These are first concerns IMO. S- we have Eddie Jackson, that is it. Deon Bush, Jordan, Lucas, DHC, and Kentrell Brice behind him. RG-This may have been shored up with German "the tank" Ifedi (made that up) and Cowerd. LG we have Daniel's and Corey Levin. I still would like Ifedi to challenge OT. WR-LWR is Robinson, Slot is Miller, leaving RWR to Wims. Depth Riley at slot. Patterson, Ives, and Davis as other backups. CB-Fuller locked down with Tolliver, Burns competing opposite. Skrine and Shelley NB, and J Michael. I do see other needs at RB, OT, …

Trade 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 3rd next year to Arizona for Anquan Boldin and a 4th round pick. ---From there, we give him a 5 year, $50 million deal. Sign Byron Leftwich- 2 years/$5.5 million. Cut Tait, saving about 4 million. Re-sign St Clair (1 year) and Roach (2 years). Trade Nathan Vasher to Houston for a 5th and 6th round pick. Trade 2nd round pick and a 4th for the Browns 2nd round pick. 2. Duke Robinson, RG, Oklahoma 3. Jason Watkins, RT, Florida 4. Maurice Evans, DE, Penn State 5. Jahi-Word Daniels, CB, Georgia Tech 6. This years draft is suppose to be strong in the DB area, both CB & S. However, the Bears are so weak in this area I can see us addressing it in FA & the draft. On ESPN they are saying the Bears should go after Logan Ryan, CB from NEP. Unfortunately, it is one of their ESPN Insider articles, I refuse to pay, LOL. I did find an INTERESTING ARTICLE ON LOGAN RYAN when trying to find out more info. I think it might be written by a fan but I think extremely well written and researched, worth a read, for free ;-) According to the article other notable 2017 free agent cornerbacks include Trumaine Johnson, Stephon Gilmore, A.J. Bouye, Morris C…

Lance Louis wont be back Webb, well insert any general insult Carimi, I think he is the weakest guy on team outside McClellin. But is young at least Garza, just fine. ------------------ OT - CLady, Beatty, Jake Long, Albert - Tier 1 at least one these guys will hit the market, I say break the bank We drafted two "LT" in 5 years and both suck OG - Levitre In my opinion 1 great OT can anchor the line. Like Madden Team Captain guy (humor) http://nfltraderumors.co/2013-nfl-free-agents-51-100/
