I got work early tomorrow so I won't be able to post this then: Let's get a W tomorrow. Let's knock 'em around like we did Atlanta a few years back at night in similar weather (this game will about 15 degrees colder, though). Often criticized for his bland, low-key demeanor, he deserves credit for keeping his team fired up during its last-ditch drive to make the playoffs. Looking at the way this team has evolved the last 5 seasons, I feel it is in a transition phase. The transition phase is both mental and physical. The mental side of the coin belongs to the defense. I see a defense that is no longer willing to impose its will on the other team. It used to be the other team would choke, kowing we were going to make the play that would beat them. Now, we are reduced to the QB in the opposing huddle saying, "we got this". Our veterens need to step up and become what they once were. Players are dropping like flies, but fortunately not people we were chasing. We need to add a free safety even if we draft one in the first three rounds. We have no depth there. Phillips is still out there, the best rated among the free agent safeties. Also Sean Jones has got some good reviews which has to be better than what we have. Phillips has been a SS but has played the free safety when he first got in the league. The problem is these guys will be gone if Jerry GM is waiting to get a good money deal from them two. Also do you think we could bring some CBs in and move them or Graham to FS? Bodden/Lions, Bartell/Rams or McFadden/Pitsb are still out there to be had. …

If we trade down I think we only have two possible partners. The Giants have 29-----------45----------60. They need a WR, OLB, and another RB add to the mix. Would they want a WR that would be there at 18 enough to give back 29 and 60 for? The Patriots have 23----------34--------47 They need to add a couple of young LBs to help Mayo. Vrabel gone and Bruschi will turn 36. Would they give us 23 and 60 if Cushing or Maualuga drops to us would they pull the trigger?
