If a player decides to hold out a entire season, what is his status the following season? Does he still owe the team work for the previous year? Does it matter how many years of service? Also does it matter if it's the final year of a contract? Gurus needed!:

The fantasy football update I read this morning said it's probably nothing but "sore foot" can becomme something more severe. Has anyone heard an update?

Hi guys! When I recreated the league, it set a default draft date of this Sunday. I've changed it to Sunday the 24th of August, but that's written in sand. For the weekend of Sat/23rd Sun/24th, when are times that people are absolutely not available? Also, we only have 8 signed up so far. Are there people that just haven't signed up yet? Otherwise we have 4 slots available if anyone would like to join. I prefer 12 team leagues but we can go with 8 if that's what we've got. Give me your thoughts

Hi guys and ladies, I went out to T.C. Monday and came away optimistic about our defense. The players who really stood out were Lamarr Houston, Hayden, Fuller, and on offense wr's Williams and Wilson. It's the second day of pads and still early in T.C. so take for what it's worth. Houston is the real deal inside or out, thank God for the red shirts Qb's wear. It seems he goes all out every snap with BAD intentions in mind. J. Allen is what we expected I'm glad he's on our team now. Hayden doesn't show any signs of last years injury and is playing well. Fuller is still learning technique and scheme but shows why we drafted at #14. Safeties a…

Kid is doing what he needs to do to improve. He's going to be a good player for us but it will take some time. He sees it now though and understands what and where he needs to improve. Identifying that is the first step. http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/bears-want...t-dts-gave-them

I think I may have posted this before but always a favorite of mine. Highlights include: the vaunted '46', LT getting blanked by Covert, SWEETNESS!!! and poor poor Grogan. Here's to 2014 looking much like this!

Ask and you shall receive... http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ml#.U9ulUFY8icM Very impressive to see how quickly Sutton is adapting and learning how to succeed against one of the better OGs in the NFL. There's a reason he got time with the 1's instead of Collins when Ratliff got a day off.

For those lucky few who can make it to training camp, or tonight's practice at Soldier Field, there are some question marks on the roster that I haven't yet heard much about. TE…. is there anyone looking like a decent backup to Martellus Bennett? I haven't seen or heard much about Rosario or any of the others at this position. Backup RB…seen some news here and there about this competition but it doesn't sound as if anyone has stood out yet. Most of the practice highlights I see of Ford are because someone is forcing him to fumble (i.e. a defensive highlight). I've seen enough that it's a concern for me even if nobody has mentioned it yet. Carey has been …

We seem to have some problems in camp. Morning practice was cut short 25 minutes because Bennett decided to body slam Fuller. There have been a lot more fights reported in this years camp then I can pretty much ever remember and while I'm all for a little chippiness, this is just sloppy and undisciplined and needs to stop. It needed to stop 3 fights ago and most definitely need to stop now. Reports are that Fuller just tried to strip the ball and Bennett went crazy on him. These incidents are increasing in severity too, which is bad, because the culture is that it is okay because others have done it and it is a slippery slope. Next thing you know, we turn into the f…

Not expected to sign him, at least not yet. Expected to wait on making a move on wideouts until after the first preseason game on Friday. If Holmes was healthy, I would be on board with the move.

With 2 grown sons with lives of their own it was extremely cool to hangout with them at Soldier's Field Sat Nite. The practice was crisp and high-paced. Looked like a lot of work was done on working the edges and what looked like a turn in slant that almost resembles a Wr screen. The WR that is on the roster that I believe should get a shot at the spot that Marquiss Wilson was holding is Spurlock he looked decent in the practice Sat Nite. I'm not surprised that wilson got hurt because he was on the field for a lot of drills including special teams. Speaking of special teams Pat O'Donnell does have a big leg and averaged 60 yds on kicks but was concentrating a lot on direc…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...all-dies-at-90/ Ed Sprinkle, “Meanest Man in Football,” dies at 90 Posted by Michael David Smith on August 5, 2014, 6:59 PM EDT edsprinkle Ed Sprinkle, a Chicago Bears defensive end in the 1940s and 1950s who was dubbed “The Meanest Man in Football,” has died at the age of 90. Sprinkle was handed the “Meanest Man” moniker by Collier’s magazine in a 1950 article, and reading about Sprinkle in 2014 feels like taking a time machine to a distant past in which even Ndamukong Suh would think the game was getting too violent. From a 1949 Chicago Tribune article: “After the game, [Chicago Cardinals] Coach Buddy …
