I was just looking back at the schedule in retrospect, and damn this is going to be a rough year no matter what coaches are hired. The Bears have games against 3 of the toughest divisions in the NFL, NFC East, AFC East, and their own. Half of their games will be against teams that made it into the play offs this year. They of course play the Packers and Vikings twice. They will host the Eagles, Patriots, and the Jets. Plus, they will travel to the Cowboys this year. I'd hate to call the Lions a give me game. They have been improving, but I'm glad the Bears play them twice. The Bills and Carolina are some what disfunctional, but still pose some what of a challen…

Evidently Hub Arkush is of the perception that the Bears low-balled Chud and that is the reason he isn't our OC. Per Hub, The Bears apparently offered Chud a contract but the value was well lower than what a typical OC gets paid. If true, what a freakin disgrace.

Kurt Warner is expected to announce his retirement on Friday. Could the Bears turn to Martz for their OC position and than offer Warner a job as our QB coach. I realize Warner would have a lot to prove, but he makes quick reads, gets rid of the ball quickly, and would be a pretty good role model for Cutler. Just throwing it out there since evidently NFL network is reporting that Warner wants to pursue coaching or the broadcast booth when he retires.

He currently works for Wanny but has a pretty good resume. Moon indicated that he might be one of the guys the Bears first targeted and are most interested in. I'll be interested to see what happens. I like his resume and his history of developing some pretty sucessful QB's (both in college and the pro's).

The guy is an offensive guru in the college ranks and has a long history of calling plays. He called them in Tennessee for a couple of years with Vince Young there and while that might not have been a great fit for the offense Chow likes, I think Cutler would be a perfect fit for him. I'd be all for Chow, in fact, I'd like him more than any other candidate. Chow was the offensive mind behind the early USC offenses with Palmer/Leinart.

He says he wants a chance to be the DC for the Bears. He's a free agent now that the season is over and loves the Bears and would love to come home.

As we sit here three weeks plus after the firing of five offensive coaches and announcing that we are going to bring in a new defensive coordinator, does it seem that this team is getting more and more chaotic and being a total laughing stock within the NFL? There has been a lot of speculation on why the Bears have not hired any coordinators and hired only Mike Tice at this point. Is there now a stigma on this team with the fact that most everyone is seeing the writing on the wall that the current head coach is a total lame duck and no one truthfully wants to come in and coach knowing that the probability next season that they will all be looking for a new job. People t…

If the Bears promote from in, Hoke should be the man. Check out his bio. Haugh says he is definately an in your face coach which should make many of you happy. http://www.chicagobears.com/team/coach.asp?coach_id=28 If he is promoted they could promote Gill Byrd who is currently the asst. defensive backs coach. Vikings will do "offseason study" of Peterson's fumbles Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on January 27, 2010 8:31 AM ET Minnesota's final two losses of the season had something in common: costly Adrian Peterson fumbles. The annoying tendency turned into a full-blown meltdown in the NFC Championship, and Vikings coach Brad Childress admitting that fixing the issue is an offseason priority. "He needs to hold on to it, but I'm sure he and [running backs coach Eric Bieniemy] and our offensive staff will do a good job of kind of troubleshooting that and seeing what we can come up with," Childress said. Perhaps Childress watched PFT Daily before his presser, beca…

Recently in Bears Category Hue Jackson won't interview with Bears after all January 26, 2010 6:59 AM | 1 Comment By Vaughn McClure MOBILE, Ala. -- The Bears' search for an offensive coordinator continues to be an unpredictable process. Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson, who was believed to be headed to Chicago for an interview with the Bears today, was a last-minute scratch, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation. Jackson previously met with the Oakland Raiders about their offensive coordinator position. Before working to develop quarterback Joe Flacco the last two seasons, he was the offensive coordinator in Atlanta (…

I know Ill get hell for this, But i absolutely am in love with Dez Bryant. I think we should get OL in Free Agency considering we cant draft one to save our friggin lives, plus, its so bad we need vets who can play right away. Im guessing we wont go after any decent WR knowing our past, like Brandon Marshall, if hes unrestricted and we dont pick him up I may be offically a chargers fan..... I woueam ld choose marshall over bryant for obvious reasons of course, but this team will never dominate offensively without a gamebreaker at WR Anyways. just curious as to some scenarios????

He's done great things for Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense has gotten better. Below is some stuff I dug up on Jackson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue_Jackson - Has been an offensive coordinator in the NFL (2007 with the Falcons and 2003 with Redskins) - Prior to getting that position, he was the Bengals highly regarded Wide-Receiving Coach (who helped developed Ocho Cinco, Henry, and Houshyourmama). - Before the Bengals, he worked as an Oline coach and OC with the Redskins Seems like a pretty solid hire. My only concern would be how he kept OC positions for such a short period of time, but you could also argue that he never really got a shot. …
