...this was a good win. Why you ask? The Bears LOST the turnover battle. They seemingly never win when they lose that. Detroit averages 31 ppg at home which is pretty damn good. They have a great redzone efficiency rate. The Lions are great in the last 2 minutes of a half. Don't look to Sunday and get down. Last night on MNF they showed a stat on teams with the highest winning % since 2005. The Giants and the Bears were basically tied at the top of that list!! the Bears had one more loss than the Giants but the same amount of wins. What the Bears did not have is a damn Super bowl win! take that for what it is worth I guess but Lovie and this crew have been getting the Bears winning seasons.

New draft order; same ole draft strategy. These are all 3 round mocks with the goal to gain thirteen prospects between this and the extra picks I gain in 2025. All drafts must have a top flight prospect and ideally an extra number one in 2025.

Linebacker is a definite strength of this 2009 version of the Chicago Bears. Lance Briggs is a perennial Pro Bowler, Brian Urlacher is one of the better middle backers in the game, and newly named starting strongside LB Pisa Tinoisamoa has me wondering what the Rams were thinking in releasing him. Tinoisamoa (does this guy have a nickname yet) has quickly become a fan favorite. His speed and big hits have endured him to the fans, and his versatility (he played weakside LB in the past) could pay dividends in the long run. I was surprised to see Montgomery listed among the top 5 on this list. I think he's a good fit for what we need and his ability to make the first unblocked defender miss will add significantly to our offense even if he doesn't have breakaway speed. Regardless I'm not sure I see him as a top 5 RoY candidate. I just watched the entire press conference and figure it's worth a new thread. Poles: For such a young man he carries himself well but he's definitely aware of how big this moment is. Whereas Eberflus is more like ... yep I've been working on this for a long time. I was surprised Poles called Matt Nagy and asked him his thoughts on the Bears and also what Nagy would have done differently. With 16 slots, it will be interesting to see how many outside players they sign. The Bears didn't claim anyone on the waiver wire, so all the external signings will technically be free agents.
