  1. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...ck-at-practice/ At least players are starting to get healthy on this team.

  2. Started by Grouchy Bear,

It's been a tough week listening to the so called experts ( TV, Radio ) pick apart this team, especially the offense. What I see is an offense that is in transition. We had 6 new starters last week, 7 this week on offense. But all they want to do talk about an interview after the game by our QB. (I myself do not know what the big deal was. Is he the new Vick, Owens and Burrass the NFL badboy ! That is BS ! IF Lovie has friends like that I hate to see his enemies.) It may get worse before it gets better ! I don't when everything will click in but when it does we will be pleased. We may see some games where we could score tons of points and then close to none…

  3. I was just looking back at the schedule in retrospect, and damn this is going to be a rough year no matter what coaches are hired. The Bears have games against 3 of the toughest divisions in the NFL, NFC East, AFC East, and their own. Half of their games will be against teams that made it into the play offs this year. They of course play the Packers and Vikings twice. They will host the Eagles, Patriots, and the Jets. Plus, they will travel to the Cowboys this year. I'd hate to call the Lions a give me game. They have been improving, but I'm glad the Bears play them twice. The Bills and Carolina are some what disfunctional, but still pose some what of a challen…

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/cate...1-training-camp Joshua Moore in mix to start at corner August, 7, 2011 AUG 7 5:14 PM CT EmailPrintComments 5 By Jeff Dickerson BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Don't rule Joshua Moore out as candidate for the Chicago Bears starting cornerback job opposite Charles Tillman. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is pretty surprising, it's the first I've heard that he's even playing well. To be fair they don't even state that he's playing well, only that he's bigger, stronger, quicker, and faster. Definitely one to watch in the preseason games.

Bears Sign Earl Watford Solid depth moves. Swing lineman who can play tackle, guard or center. Very nice.

Looks like they found Callahan's replacement. Hopefully comes in cheap. Update: not cheap, I do not like this signing. Skrine has been one of the worst CBs and most penalized CBs in the league. I don't know what Pace is thinking here. Over paid IMO. 3/$16.5 with $8.5 guaranteed seems steep for a perennial under performer. We will see what they get out of him but it seems like another Cooper signing.

As for Harrison, he will be a project but, Hiestand is a good tutor. My alternate pick at 105 is Kemeko Turay OLB Rutgers.

With the draft picks locked in for 2024, here is the before and after by position: Offense: QB - [Fields > Williams*] RB - [Foreman > Swift*] WR - [Mooney > Allen*] / [St. Brown > Odunze*] / [Taylor > Pettis] TE - [Tonyan > Everett*] IOL - [Patrick > Shelton*] / [Whitehair > Bates*] / [Feeney > Curhan*] / [X > Amegadjie] Defense: DE - [Green > Martin*] / [Ngakoue > Booker*] LB - [Cole > Ogbongbemiga*] DB - [Blackwell > Owens*] FS - [Jackson > Byard*] P - [Gill > Taylor*] Holes remaining: DT - [Jones > X] TE - [Lewis > X] It seems like Poles literally took ever…

BOURBONNAIS — One week into training camp it would appear Jay Cutler has a new favorite target, or Mike Martz does anyway. But the new offensive coordinator said it's just by chance that receiver Johnny Knox has been targeted considerably more times than the other options in the offense after nine practices. According to the Tribune's chart of 11-on-11 and seven-on-seven drills to this point, Knox has been targeted 55 times, 16 more than Devin Hester and Greg Olsen. "We're installing right now and depending on the coverages the ball will go different places," Martz said. "Everything we script is just plays going in so it depends on what the defense is doing. 11. Started by ASHKUM BEAR,

I see a lot of posts about a need for a speed WR to take the top off of the defense. I doubt the Bears go that route since the traditional west coast offense doesn't use a slot WR. That is why Earl Bennett was let go, he didn't line up in the slot once last year. Almost every play last season was with 2 WR's, MBennett and Britton. If we add another receiving threat, that will be in the form of a TE or FB imo. Just pointing out again to the guys that don't think we will look at a TE that we may just be holding our cards tight for Ebron if Donald/Dix are gone.

Saw a story pop up about this. Possible help at PR where he’s historically done well and so far Ginn Jr is struggling. https://www.si.com/nfl/bears/gm-report/bears-give-tryout-to-former-pro-bowl-punt-returner

  15. Must-Read Article with Urlacher Quotes One of the better articles I have read with quotes from Urlacher. Let's face it, he has never been a good interview, he will never be a color analyst on Fox, or teach Speech at a college. However, he comes off excellent in this piece.

  16. Jets | T. Jones to be released Comment (5) Sat, 27 Feb 2010 18:26:59 -0800 ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the New York Jets plan to release RB Thomas Jones this week, making him a free agent March 5.

I read on Profootballtalk.com that odds of Donta Whitner/FS/Buffalo staying on the team on slim. He was a 6th pick in the 2006 draft and havent lived up to expectations for the team. Could he revive his carrer as a Bear? I think it would be a low end risk to obtain him, and give it a shot. Offer them a 6th pick? They will problem just cut him anyways.

  20. Started by Alaskan Grizzly,

It appears Jordan will be available soon as a FA. The question is should the Bears consider returning him? What type of blocking will Chicago deploy under Castillo? Are they wanting to go more power blocking, zone blocking or concentrate more on pass blocking? I think someone hypothesized that the reason Hiestand lost his job was because he wanted to do more power blocking and Nagy did not. (My guess is Nagy needed a scape goat and Hiestand was one of a few options). Anyhow, if in fact the Bears goal is to focus more on a combination of pass and zone blocking then Howard may still be an option. Even with a couple of fixes along the oline for next year I don’t see t…
