I've been reading some good things about Al Louis-Jean and got curious about his background. I don't typically follow our UDFA signings as they rarely end up contributing but he appears to be on track to doing just that. (Christian Jones too). I was shocked, but Cole Kmet led all receivers (from both teams) in receptions and yards on MNF. For the season, he now has 49 receptions (10th among TEs) for 490 yards and is on pace for over 60 receptions and 600 yards. I didn't expect him to be a top 10 TE for how bad our passing offense has been, which seems to make his stats even that much more impressive. However, on eye test, he is a great blocker, but is not an elite pass-catching TE. I feel like he needs to spend the offseason on the jugs machine and working on small area quickness. I read a story talking about maybe Joe Kim was our biggest addition this off season. To give credit SCS has mentioned his name many times. So I look at the improvement of his addition to KC where he worked from 2010-2012. In 2009 KC had 22 sacks. 4-12 In 2010 it rose to 39 sacks.
