The 49ers are putting ILB Michael Wilhoite on the trading block, reportedly looking for a 6th or 7th round pick. He beat out Chris Borland last year to win the starting ILB job for Fangio. His stats weren't eye popping or anything, but he did start a whole season for a top 5 defense. At the very least you typically won't get a guy in the 6th or 7th round that could come in and compete for an ILB spot right out of the box. If Fangio likes this guy, getting a starting ILB for a 6th round pick would be huge.

Probably too old and I'd rather get younger at the DT position. But I just read he's not being picked up by the Pats so figured I'd ask your thoughts. He's big enough for NT, too. But he's also got some character issues.

We get a serviceable QB that at least showed signs of putting it together, except for the injuries. We would get cap flexibility since it is the last year of his contract. We always could cut him later and only take a $3.5 cap hit. If he looks legit, extend his contract and cut the cap hit in half.

It has Shelton going to the Skins at 5 and has a 5 round project of: 1 Dante Fowler DE/OLB 2 Bryon Jones CB 3 AJ Cann G 4 Joe Mbu NT 5 no pick This is a very different mock from previous ones whic leads me to believe that there's some whispers as to who the Bears may be targeting in FA.

Same age as Forte, can't believe how fast MJD fell off the map. Has 30 more carries than Forte.

Say what you will, but not bringing back Lance, trading Marshall...all seems to spell out that they are cleaning house. I fully expect no Tillman. I also now expect Cutler to be traded. There's no certainty...but damn the evidence is pointing to fire sale. Heck, they could even deal Forte at this point too. I'm all in. I get what they are doing. If Pace & Fox are thinking this is what's best, then I'm OK with it. Fox is loaded with experiences staff members and I'm sure their input is used. Bear down. I'm excited!

I thought he was a possible stop gap option at ILB, but it seems like the Jets overpaid to retain him. They just used up about $15 million on Marshall and Harris.

Torrey Smith. Great speed, perfect compliment to AJ. Sign him and the Marshall trade is forgotten fairly quickly.

One of our biggest needs are at safety. McCourty is the top rated and will go for 8-10 mil a year. From what I have read Moore will carry a 4-5 mil contract and another name I like is Searcy from Buffalo who will carry a 4-5 mil contract. So why not fix the safety position for years to come with 2 young upgrades instead of grabbing McCourty? I think someone already suggested this just couldnt find the thread it was in.

Giving away Marshall for a mere 5th RD pick means we want to move on now and we'll just about pay you to take our players and their big contracts away from us. This much cap space puts anyone in FA in play and this is the best FA year in a long time, maybe ever. If you are going to go all in like this to remake a roster now is definitely the time to do it.

Re making the roster has started and what we know as of this day, my new plan: QB- one more year for Cutler and not a lot of choices. Claussen , nothing to get excited about, maybe a drafted QB in our future? Grayson/CSU-4th round-maybe can become something one day. WR-BM gone-Jeffery, a very good #2-Would want to get Cobb and then add Cooper/ with the first round(124 catches-2014) now we have something. RB- Will make the call of Forte being traded for a 4th round pick-bring in Mark Ingram and draft Duke Johnson as a CJ Spiller type of option in the 3rd.
