Hester said he is retiring after his stellar performance returning for Seattle (194 yds) in yesterdays playoff game. Pace better get on the phone and propose he hold off and contemplate a send off from the Bears. He was one of the most electricfiling players in history and a tribute of him would electrify those emotions he brought everytime he stepped on the field.

Had good seats for tonights game here's my observations. I tried to key on some players throughout the game. Watching the TV broadcast (which just started) will give me a different perspective. We owned half the stadium tonight. I was surprised at how many Trubisky jerseys were being worn. All the talk back in the summer of all Bears fans hating that draft pick don't appear to be true. I don't think they all got purchased this past week. Offense: Glennon sucks. At 6 CT on NFL Network, they will announce the schedules for the 2008 season. I'm going to guess we have night games against GB, one MIN game, the PIT game, the ARZ game, the BAL game, and maybe the SEA game.

Wow, so he gets that type of deal as the #3 TE that doesn't play special teams. Very interesting. That seems like a lot of money for that type of role, especially with all the COVID cap numbers hitting next year. Seems odd to me.

So with Hester and his "one dimensional" contribution possibly leaving Chicago, maybe a player like Sproles could be the replacement? He's multi dimensional (to include returning kicks) and is familiar to OC Kromer. Not exactly the 'change of pace' back I think most envision, especially with Bush gone. But maybe a good option as third down back behind Forte(?)

I know there are a good number of posters who enjoy $$$ Leagues in FF Therefore I would assume some might also be interested in a good Pick'em League I use to play every year at a site called 6DaysToSumday I had to skip out for a few years do to time restraints but have signed up for the games this year If anyone is interested it is the best Pick'ems I have seen, a lot of different pools to play I signed up for everything except the team pool (3 players in the weekly pool combine into a team entry) If there are any of you interested in this league and sign up let me know and maybe we can combine for the team pool option Hope this is not …

After posting in Jason's "Best Mock I can do thread" about CBs I figured I'd just summarize what I see of the top CBs after watching film on Draftbreakdown. I'm copying what I wrote about Hargreaves in that thread. Among the top 4 CBs in this draft I could live with any of them. I'm just not confident grabbing one at #11. I'm 46 , so I grew up with Soundgarden from 1989 until today. They were my favorite band. It's a sad day for rock. I listened to many a Soundgarden song after watching Bears games...either to feel the joy or the anguish.

With Cole Kmet still only 23 yrs old, I took a look back at how the current top TEs looked before they turned 24 and I was pretty shocked. Right now, Kmet has 33 more receptions than the next best TE before the age of 24 and he needs only 68 more yards to pass Pitts (on IR) for the most yards by an (active) TE before the age of 24. If he gets 2 TDs, he would also tie Njoku for the TD lead with 9. Did you know Kmet was this productive at that young of an age? If he averages the same number of receptions and yardage he had last year (60-612) from 2023 until he was 34 (Kelce is 33), he would be in the top 5 for receptions by a TE (all-time). Was looking through San Frans defensive free agents and came across a somewhat intriguing name. Dan Skuta, the OLB who filled in for Aldon Smith while he was out. He racked up 5 sacks in just 398 snaps.
