There was a post which would have brought up a discussion of the current trend of some players refusing to stand for the National Anthem. I am sure there are some strong opinions on this topic. I deleted the post simply because from past experience this would become a powder keg in short order. We try not to censor posts, we really do, but we also do not want the Bears Forum to be used to discuss topics which might be very sensitive to members and result in controversial exchanges of opinion on topics not related to football. Mario Manningham and Aqib Talib have reportedly been removed from "multiple teams'" draft boards due to alleged marijuana use in college. Talib reportedly acknowledged at the Combine that he tested positive for pot three times at KU. Mario denied testing positive initially, then sent a letter to all 32 teams admitting he lied. Manningham claims he failed two drug tests at Michigan. Gaines Adams, Amobi Okoye, and Calvin Johnson were involved in a similar situation last year. Their draft stocks were not affected. There are a lot of good teams in this league, you guys must all be smart, it is hard for me to draft a good team in this league. I see my team as middle of the pack in this group. Teams I like in no particular order. Balls, Crushers and Nopper with Bell back in a couple of weeks. My strong points are Gronk,Ben,Cobb and Lacy but my #2 WR and #2 RBs could end up dooming me. Some of you have one weak spot, but I see a couple on mine that will lead to to many losses. I had one Yahoo draft this year and when I went to the drafting room, the draft loaded and all I had was a blank screen. You could hear the draft going on, noise but nothing popped up on my screen. Does anybody know how I can fix this, or where on Yahoo I can get information to do it? I run the test draft app and dont get crap. I had one draft auto drafted and would like to get it fixed before our draft.

Adam, you usually run this a couple weeks before the draft. We are about 36 days away! Was wondering since it is getting close if we can get something started, would like to see us at least get 4 rounds in or more. A thought I had was instead of picking teams, have a rule in place like you cannot make a selection if you selected 5 picks ago (or any # thought reasonable). That way any member can contibute without waiting. We can tag links to notable boards to find team needs and player rankings. I am getting geeked up already and thought if there are any thoughts we can discuss

It's that time of year again, looking to start up our Community Mock Draft by getting the various teams assigned to our in house GM's. Good season and nice job Crushers for repeating as league champ. You get 60% of the prize. Acedthesobrietytest came in 2nd and gets 30% and Papabear came in 3rd and gets 10%. On Monday I will get everything in order on the league safe site and get everyone paid.

Its almost that time of year again so I figured I would start gauging interest for fantasy football. We have our Talkbears keeper league with I believe 9 returning and 1 spot available. I want to get confirmation from everyone in the league before we let new people join. We will also have free leagues for anyone wishing to play. So if you are interested in playing this year please post in this thread and we will see what kind of interest we have and how many leagues we will need.

Copart49 hasn't rejoined yet. We still have space for 2 more if anyone is interested. Does anyone have times to avoid for the draft? If you work on the weekend, you may have to autodraft, but I'm willing to try and accomodate people as long as it doesn't get too complicated. Looking for feedback guys.

Its August and have heard from all the leagues Im in, but havent gotten or seen anything on this league yet. Who is the Commish and has he sent the invitations yet? I havent gotten one yet, it that is the case. Let me know whats going on. thanx
