I'll tell you what guys, I love the Chris Williams pick. I saw him play twice this year, once against Mississippi, and the finale against Wake Forest. This is what I remember seeing/thinking: 1) He seems very fast 2) He almost always made the DE go really wide 3) He seemed like he had quick hands or quick extension of the arms once the Defensive player engaged. But this is the most important thing I remember from each game: He looked like he was playing against a little kid. I don't mean that the other person was smaller. I think that its good that they honored him but I think it was a poor decision not to include Damien Nash. He died less than two months later so you would think the memorial should have been for both of them. The only reason why I can think of that they didnt was because Williams was murdered and Nash wasnt. I hope it wasnt because Williams was a better player and more well known.

I am beginning to think there is a definite relationship to the Bears' policy of rewarding their own when they excel and the way we seem to always be ahead of the other teams in signing our rookie classes. As per the SCORE. I hope like hell this is just a precautionary measure and not something that's going to linger all season long. Remember how Urlacher missed so many practices with "general soreness" last training camp? Tillman is practicing however Hester is not. (They didn't say why Hester's not practicing.)

Read in the Sun Times that our QBs are working out of the shotgun quite a bit. That is something we have VERY sparingly done in the past. I don't think Kreutz is a big fan of the shutgun, and w/ a slower runner like Benson, delays handoffs were never going to work. Now, w/ quicker/faster RBs in both Forte and KJ, it seems like we may be in a better position to use the shotgun now. Also, wasn't Orton a shutgun QB in college? In fact, wasn't one of the pre-draft knocks on him whether or not he could play under center?
