We spent 22 mil in free agency so far that brings us to 22 mil. Our adjusted rate is figuring in rookie pool which is high because we have 2 first round picks. Also last year we had 7 mil for in season business. So 22 mil left. We need a WR, and DL,, if not 2. Another C. He may stay with Bates and draft a C which would need to be in the second round which we don't have. I see no high level edge or DT with only 22 mil left . More on the lines of D Walker and Justin Jones like last year. Chase Young- Clowney, and SJ Wonnum . Are the best of the rest IMO Still lots of WRs but he's not paying Mooney type money. Given the possibilty (or at least conspiracy type theory) that Gaines might be kept around to perform double duty as a FB is there a possibilty that since Basenez appears to be leaving that the Bears could be hoping to snag Matt Jones after all? Given his prior experience as a QB at Arkansas and his more recent discoverd ability as a WR, he could be an ideal fit to fill both roles. As much as I dislike the guy, I know many of you are fans of his. I hope I'm wrong.

The Bears signed a ILB Kevin Pierre-Lewis. He has ties to new ILB coach Mark DeLeone. He played for the Jets last year. He played under DeLeone in 2017. 6'1 236 lbs. had a 4.51 40 at his draft class. My question, would they leave him on the roster and cut someone like Nick Kwiatkoski or Joel IGGY ? As they look for special team players, I see them keeping 8 LBs . 4 in and 4 O. Curious why they make this move other than for ST type of situation.

2nd highest 4th round comp pick, not bad. Projections had us a few slots lower. So we have picks 43, 50, 140, 163, 196, 200, 226, and 233.

Not expected to sign him, at least not yet. Expected to wait on making a move on wideouts until after the first preseason game on Friday. If Holmes was healthy, I would be on board with the move.

espn.com's Jeff Dickerson is reporting that Sam Hurd hurt his lower leg in the protion of practice at Bradley-Bourbonnais HS. He tried to continue but it was determined that he should call it a day and spent the remander of practice on a cart with his lower leg wrapped in ice. Of course Lovie downplayed the injury,saying "We have a few guys banged up this time of year,but nothing serious".

He currently works for Wanny but has a pretty good resume. Moon indicated that he might be one of the guys the Bears first targeted and are most interested in. I'll be interested to see what happens. I like his resume and his history of developing some pretty sucessful QB's (both in college and the pro's).

At the start of Free Agency i was very close to jumping off the ledge. I couldnt believe we were doing nothing. We then make "THE TRADE". As well as picking up some new OLine talent. Now the draft has come and gone and now i am even more excited. Here is a list of things that i am very interested in seeing and excited about: 1. Cutler- enough said 2.
