I've seen no reported setbacks on White's practicing so far so he might be on track to play a few snaps against the Vikings. Marquess Wilson appears to definitely be out of this game.

Well this sucks.. Looks like he's going to be out a while if he's already having surgery now. Didn't see the play he injured it on but now with Carimi out for atleast the next couple weeks, it looks like its Edwin Williams or bust..

Another member of that famous 65 draft though he came in undrafted and turned out to be one of the Bears most electric returners who some say never called for a fair catch. He wasn't bad as a corner either and I have to tell you all that between Gayle Sayers and Devin Hester, he, Cecil Turner and Ike Hill were some guys who were exciting on returns for the Bears back in the day. Ron Smith was fearless on punt returns and he was one of my childhood favorites. He succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70 but, his 30+ yd return avg in 72 got him voted to the Pro Bowl as a return specialist.

I don’t get to watch many games lately. But I got to see Red zone highlights. What struck me was that every single time Fields drops back he is being chased. Every snap someone is busting through relatively cleanly. One play it’s from the left. Next play it’s up the gut. Then the right. Then the channel flips to KC, and Mahomes has time to tie his shoes on every other play. Until the QB gets time CONSISTENTLY, he can never be properly evaluated, and can never truly progress. I’m loving everything we’ve done in adding offensive weapons to help out Trubisky. The one thing I can’t understand was letting go of Josh Sitton. I got it at the time assuming that we would sign someone young and more athletic. Since then all we’ve done is resign Bradley Sowell—who is a back-up swing tackle. It also looks like Quenton Nelson will be long gone by the time we pick at #8. Dumping Sitton, we now have a gaping hole at o-line. At best, Bobbie Massie and Charles Leno are average. Floyd IMO is still ascending. I think with his body type we'll see that for a couple more years as he gains strength. The decision on his 5th year option is due this offseason and with all the things he does well I don't see anyway we can let him go after next season. So we're likely paying him the 5th year option which I believe is worth around $13-15mil. I'd rather see if we can work out a 3 or 4yr extension and since he doesn't have elite sack numbers try to keep him for around $8-10mil/yr. He's a good player but not elite in any category and his injury history mucks up the negotiating waters. If he's here for 4 more years (3 yr extension) he's just 30 when…
