Crazy seeing some of these QB performances today. Flacco, thanks Trestman, was the worst starting QB this week. 18-32, 117 yards, 2 INT (1 Pick-6), and a 38.2 Passer Rating. Adding to that, they lost Suggs for the year. Manning looked equally horrible throwing a Pick-6 and ending with a 59.9 Passer Rating and 4 sacks. Rivers, even though he threw for 404 yards, had 2 horrible INTs (one in the endzone). Stafford had 2 picks (and a 3rd overturned) and could've probably had 5 INTs if the defense didn't drop them. Luck had 2 picks and did not look good against Buffalo Wilson had a pick and was sacked 6 times.

If we know the Superbowl is still a year at least away, why not use this season to get a QB and his tools to get accustomed to the nfl now. Spend in FA to solidify the D while staying under 28 for age. When the 2018 draft comes the needs should be small so many BPAs to improve a playoff ready team with quality depth. In free agency we have added depth at all positions of need. So if Pace truly takes BPA, I looked at 5 lists of top players and these names common in all: Garrett Thomas Allen Forunette Adams Garrett will be gone and with Howard, wer wont be taking Fournette. So our pick will be from these three: Thomas Allen Adams I would be happy with any of them, but think it will be Thomas. I think we grab a SS in the second or third round, the position of great depth. I think Allen having arthritis moves him back on our list.

I still think we could take a RB late in the draft but he is a good backup RB that can catch the ball.

We are in the process of buying a house in La Quinta and I wondered where fellow Bear fans go for games in the La Quinta, Indian Wells, Palm Desert CA area. Let me know.

On NFL.com there is an article that Miami has cut Isaiah Wilson whom they received from Tennessee in a recent trade. Wilson was a 1st pick with Tennessee and his draft profile projected him as a RT prospect. Wilson might be claimed well before the Bears can pick him up at 20 but there seems to be some character issues such as not attending meetings. There are some issues with the police but if the culture in the building is as fantastic as Pace and Nagy say could this help Wilson get back on track. Wilson must be as good or better as Germaine Ifedi so worth a punt. Probably signs with the Patriots as becomes a quality starting RT.

I see where Davis is practicing with the team now - good sign. I think the right side of our OL is going to be 90s Cowboy-like. Cant wait to see it. You could probably use Davis and Wright instead of bulldozers for the new stadium construction, wherever that's going to be.
