With Blanchard release it will be interesting to see if Edwards or Palmer can be out McCown for roster spots. I am not really comfortable as McCown as the number two.

We have some really good board members we haven't seen in awhile. Anyone know what's up with any of them? Are they on other boards, etc...?

Nothing like waiting for final roster cuts with a 4th pre season game coming up where no starters will play. So here are some random thoughts on the upcoming season: Eagles defense is bad. Chip Kelly offense not so thrilling to me. There has been a ton of hype but I've watched Oregon's offense for years and every time they played a team that matched up to their athletic ability they struggled. The NFL, save for a few teams, is fairly balanced in terms of athletic ability. Throw in some very quick 3-and-outs and the Eagles D will be gasping for air by the end of the 3rd quarter and they aren't good to begin with. Green Bay Packer fans are thrilled with Ed…

No link just saw Adam Shefter report it on ESPN NFL Insiders. It's hard to know how aggressive they are with this or if they just did some shopping around to gauge interest.

Jordan palmer announced via Twitter he's been released. Kinda surprised on this. Just a guess here but I'm thinking both palmer and Edwards will be released and we will sign a 3rd qb to the PS. Maybe Rodgers

Webb went from shit to horrible shit to stinky poopy shit and now someone with a brain cut his ass. Sooooooooo happy he is gone. I thought you couldn't get worse than St Claur then Webb came along.

  8. Hi All, I have been watching NFL Access and some other shows here in blighty and references are made regarding Cincinnati's team and them looking like the could be quite strong as they are very talented... How are we going to do on Sunday?

With the latest rounds of cuts we have a WR group of Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, Toliver, Wilson, Anderson....and Weems/Hester as extras The bold players are 6'3 and above so this will give us a few mismatches on the outside and in the red zone. So do you consider this group a strength or weakness

  11. This post was for the only Webb supporter I have come across, but he will not comment anymore on this subject because when someone he says is getting better, gets sent to RT, takes a pay cut and then the unemployment line, pretty hard to convince people he was even be a NFL player let alone the best tackle on the Bears. That comment comes from the constant reference to Bushrod being on the same level. I just wanted to speak my peace on a boring subject that only get this much attention because you keep defending him. May I suggest instead of reading PFF watch the football games and let your eyes show you the truth. PFF has good stats but there not the Bible on how good pl…

We can say this much about Emery: He has moved quickly to fix our offense and that includes hiring a HC with an offensive background. I'm looking forward to seeing the results. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ars-roster.html Instead, the roster is laden with players acquired by Emery — including 19 of the 24 players on offense. Only quarterback Jay Cutler, running back Matt Forte, center Roberto Garza, wide receiver Earl Bennett and tight end Kyle Adams remain from the Angelo era on offense.

This may not surprise some of you who were paying more attention. I find it amazing. A team that went 10-6 last year and we replaced 60% of the roster! I have no reason not to trust Emery at this point and regardless I admire his ability to put his stamp on the team this quickly. It looks like it's working but actual game results will tell us the real answer soon enough. I sure hope he knows what he's doing. (The 32/53 number came from Channel 2 sports at 6 tonight. I haven't confirmed.)

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...0,4746067.story Isn't that exactly what I was trying to say all off season? Things then escalated after all the childish remarks came in. I shared the same thoughts our GM did and got shit for it, that is what was incredibly frustrating to me. My opinion wasn't wrong. My opinion wasn't that he'll be an all pro lineman. My opinion was exactly what Emery said, “Coming into this fall, we were very optimistic that he was going to be our starting right tackle and would continue to improve as a player”. I was called a "broken record" numerous times, well of course, no football was played for my opinion to change. How can I …
