http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=team...ts-2011-nfl-chi Thought this article was really good. Big talking point is that Cutler was quoted as saying the offensive side of the ball will be working with each other shortly. Basically that something is planned but he didn't get into specifics. Also has a ton of quotes related to the draft. Pretty solid off-season summary article in general.

This is a short blurb linked from Forte's twitter account. They both look good, but notice that Forte appears to be pushing harder (I like). http://www.twitvid.com/XHUGT

Since the Bears arent going to make much of a big splash in FAgency, here my list to upgrade the roster. Dahl/OG-Atl Nasty attitude bodes well for our OL Light/OT-NE Older but could be a bridge to Carmi or Webb on left side . A two year deal Mebane/DT-Sea Ruskin knows well, has big upside Sims-Walker/WR/Jag bottom end of first tier WRs, could be big upgrade over current crop of wideouts Anderson/LB-Car starting to come into his own and still young Marshall/CB-Car He has good stats and can start on this team None of the above will come cheap but none will cost big money. Light is the only one with age.…

Seeing that San Diego made Eric Weddle one of the highest paid safeties in football reminded me of how the Bears botched a perfect trade. During the 2007 Draft, the Chargers traded the 62nd pick, 93rd pick, a 2008 3rd & 5th rounder to move up to the 37th pick and select Weddle. I praised JA for getting a a 2nd, 2 3rds, and a 5th for a 2nd. Helluva a deal. Unless you use those picks to take Dan Bazuin, Garrett Wolfe, Kevin Payne, and Marcus Harrison. Yikes.

1. They went after Willie Colon, i know it didnt work out but it at least shows that the Bears FO is trying to upgrade our Oline. Hopefully they contiune trying to sign someone else. 2. They signed Roy Williams. I know he has his issues but he is tall and has speed and most importantly he knows the Martz system, if he is ready to show everyone he is more then the fluff we have seen the last couple of years he should be able to get out to t quick start. 3. I like the Gholston pick up, some may not but im excited to see what he can do when put back at the DE position. 4. Olsen, i would have liked for the Bears to keep him. but who knows if Olsen would have stayed afte…

The Bears have said that Harrison can't practice until he is in better shape. Once again he is reporting over his reporting weight. Bye Bye!

I was thinking of possibly getting a new banner here. I don't have the photoshop skills, but perhaps someone else does. So here, I ask you to vote for 3 (if only 2 can fit in the banner, then that's fine and whoever can take the top 2) players who you'd like to see in the new banner.

http://thexlog.com/201108012214/xtra-point...ng-camp-report/ Interesting comments on Carimi and his run blocking. Conte seems to be playing FS well. Hester is looking good as WR.

Someone mentioned Brandon Thorn in some posts (forgive me for not remembering who) as an Oline analyst. I accidentally came across his Substack so I figure I'd post the link here in case anyone is interested. https://trenchwarfare.substack.com/ https://trenchwarfare.substack.com/p/ol-scouting-notebook-2022-nfl-combine?s=r Like everyone else I'm highly interested in Oline this draft but I'm also not an expert in analyzing the finer points of the positions. I've kinda had Raimann as a target for us somewhere and watched as he reportedly moved up to as high as a 2nd Rd prospect. His arm length makes me think we take him off the board as an OT. We already have …
