How about we send Cutler to Cincinatti for Palmer and their first round pick (number 4 overall)? Then we draft AJ Green at #4. Palmer won't play for Cincinatti anymore--he said he'd retire before he played there again. He could be posturing, but who knows. Cincinatti is thought to be looking for a qb at #4. In my opinion, Cutler doesn't have the accuracy or decision-making needed to get our team a Lombardi. I don't know that Palmer does either, but I think Palmer's strengths (timing throws, accuracy, decision-making) mesh with Martz's system better than Cutler's strengths (cannon arm, mobility). I'd take my chances with Palmer, a new o-line and a Andre Jo…

Every year it amazes me how many rookies go unsigned into camp, and sometimes into the season. Looking at this year's list, there were a bunch of players that could've ended up on the Bears. Guys like Blackmon (if we traded up), Kendall Wright, DeCastro, and Poe from the first round come to mind. Some others like DeVier Posey and Trumaine Johnson from later rounds are also unsigned. What could you possibly be holding out for? You are basically slotted, and unless the team is under-cutting the slot, these should be easy deals. I love that fact that the Bears are great at getting rookie players to sign, sometimes the entire rookie class signs before some other…

    1. Evan Rodriquez. Did a great job blocking. Didn't look like a rookie. Not sure if we'll miss Clutts if he keeps this up and continues to get better. 2. Kyle Adams. One grab. Big grab. Make the most of your opportunities! 3. Wootten. The Favre killer punched one loose from Luck. One of the lone bright spots in the pass rush. We need more of this Corey! 4. Podlesh. Good kicks. 5. Gould. Is it fair not to give him props when all he does is just make kicks? Robbie rocks. 6. JT Thomas. great special teams play! This guy wants it! Love watching him play! If these guys and others keep it up...their efforts will be a huge part of our overall …

WR Vincent Jackson - instantly becomes best threat in passing game, hurt alot and disappears Pierre Garcon - seems like a headcase.Isnt a #1 but certainly seems to think he is. Head and shoulders above our current scrubs Marques Colston - definitely available and becomes best threat in passing game, always hurt Stevie Johnson - I still think he wont sign or get tagged OL Levi Brown - 28, instant upgrade (not saying much tho) Ben Grubbs - 28, instantly best OG Carl Nicks - not interested for that cash (can anyone find the post where i kept saying just draft this guy cuz he was enormous) I think given the list above and…

Passing: Cutler needs 25 TD passes to pass Sid Luckman to have all the Bears all-time Passing records. During the Carolina game, Cutler (63rd) passed Bob Griese, Ken O'Brien, and Joe Theismann on the all-time yardage list. In the next few weeks he will pass Jeff Garcia, Jim Plunkett, and Jim Harbaugh. By the end of the season he will be close to 50th all-time in passing yards. Rodgers has 120 passing yards than Cutler. With 3 more passing TDs, Cutler will pass Kitna for 61st on the all-time list. He should break into the top 50 by the end of the year. With 38 more completions he will pass Ron Jaworksi for 54th on the list and will move into the top 50 in compl…

If there was ever a time to get on a hot streak, it's now. With the news of Brees' injury, I would be shocked if he was back in 5 weeks for our game. They have a Week 9 Bye, so it would make sense to target his return no earlier than Week 10. That makes our next 7 games extremely favorable. Week 3 - at Washington (Win, Guice out, bad defense) Week 4 - vs Minnesota (Win, Cousins looks worse than Trubisky, outside of Cook, offense not doing too much) Week 5 - at Oakland (in London, Win, Mack will singlehandedly win this game for us) Week 6 - Bye Week 7 - vs New Orleans (w/o Brees, at home, Win) Week 8 - vs Los Angeles Chargers (LAC not a good road team, Win…

Titans | Talks with Collins have not progressed Wed, 04 Feb 2009 06:18:49 -0800 Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports contract talks between the Tennessee Titans and QB Kerry Collins, an impending free agent, have been going slow thus far. "There's been nothing substantial,'' Collins said. "There might have been some conversations between my agent and Mike, but nothing to think they are working on anything big." Collins reiterated his feelings from the end of the season. He's not interested in returning to be the No. 2 quarterback behind QB Vince Young after guiding the team to a 13-3 mark this season. ------------------------------------------------------…

http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2010/05/mi...port_day_3.html Here are some observations and not-so-deep thoughts from Sunday's session. --- Roberto Garza pushed Brian Urlacher down and on a running play and then playfully drove him into the ground. --- Fullback Will Ta'ufo'ou made a diving catch deep downfield. There haven't been this many passes thrown to fullbacks, by the way, since Matt Suhey retired. --- Craig Steltz made a leaping breakup of a Caleb Hanie pass intended for Desmond Clark. Steltz intercepted Hanie again and later drew praise from coach Lovie Smith. --- Chris Harris dropped a sure interception on a Jay Cutler pass int…

Just after the crash on Saturday morning, Suh was interviewed by police and said that he was trying to pass a taxicab when he lost control of the 1970 Chevrolet Coupe and crashed into a tree, according to the original police report. He also said that no one was injured. No citations were issued. Two of the people who were passengers in the car…

  18. He's done great things for Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense has gotten better. Below is some stuff I dug up on Jackson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hue_Jackson - Has been an offensive coordinator in the NFL (2007 with the Falcons and 2003 with Redskins) - Prior to getting that position, he was the Bengals highly regarded Wide-Receiving Coach (who helped developed Ocho Cinco, Henry, and Houshyourmama). - Before the Bengals, he worked as an Oline coach and OC with the Redskins Seems like a pretty solid hire. My only concern would be how he kept OC positions for such a short period of time, but you could also argue that he never really got a shot. …
