In fact I can't name two (one name only because of Lane). Sounds like we are going to see a lot of different looks from our defense this year. Can't say results will be different but after a decade watching the Lovie 2 if nothing else at least it will have me wondering what we're going to do next.

After watching the Pats win yet again, it made me think there there might be a silver lining to our last 10 years of sucking... Granted, we had lightning in a bottle for 2006. But our lack of QB really doomed us...along w/ losing Mike Brown and Tommie Harris for the most important game. But in a broad brush stroke, from 2007-2016...the Pats really have dominated. I love that response from Mr.Allen!!!!! Now the powers that be have stated the roster is not done yet and he also said that they are looking at safety in FA and the draft. So with that in mind who would be the best player for our defense?

I'm doing this for WR, please feel free to add other positions. Since the Jefferson deal, I'm questioning what we do with WR in the future. We are currently on a great position with having three 1's in the room. For future purposes, do we draft a WR annually to ensure the pipeline is full or do we pay 35+ million to re-sign our own? Looking at Dallas, they are going to have to pay CD the same as JJ to keep him. Add 60 mil to Dak and it seems untenable. Especially with their EDGE rusher wanting a record contract as well.

With the Jets likely winning the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes, they will likely try to get some value for Darnold. This is just me, but Darnold is better than what we have. So what say you? Last year the home run would have been Jim Harbaugh but Warren had a problem with him in the Big 10. So we got Flus back. To me, Johnson seems like a Mcvay or Shanahan type of hire. IMHO we should look at the Bengals running backs DeDe Dorsey and Brian Leonard because they will be sweating out the final hours before the roster cutdown deadline, and either one of them is a good fit for the Bears. I like Leonard because he runs like a truck!!

Benson over TJ, Mark over Alex, go down the list...I thought they were goofy decisions (except Rex in Orton's sophomore since Orton obviously wasn't ready). Nor was I in favor of ANY of those early contract extensions, lol, which says more about my philosophy. As it turns out, I misjudged Lance's talent and yet I was right anyway since playing hardball with Lance worked out for us.
