  1. I read this in an article at ESPN on Jake Delhomme and thought it was rather amusing: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...nflpicks/090918

I view Kromer as a straightforward guy who won't spin things. It was nice to hear him discuss the talent level of the offense and the improvement from last year to this year. He's not discussing the starters rather the depth on the roster specifically the Oline depth and TE options we have on the roster. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...27-f4c0766bf86e

Khalil’s little brother Ladarius just signed as a UDFA. Hmm... I think my mood just lifted a bit. https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/bears/ct-chicago-bears-khalil-mack-ladarius-nfl-draft-20200426-3ar3yu36vjebvisuid6ntfbaou-story.html

I’ve been trying to avoid starting a new topic but saw a story on Robert Quinn that got my attention. Turns out he’s had a benign brain tumor most of his life. I know someone like that and being benign doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous or disruptive. Many props to him considering how he’s playing this year and has played most of his career.

Wow, first off, I love Brandon Staley. Did anyone else see the Chargers Raiders game? If they tied, both would make the playoffs due to IND's loss. Well LAC scored a last-second TD and forced overtime (they didn't go for 2). Then in OT they swapped FGs and with the game tied and the Raiders at the LAC39 with 38 seconds left (and a running clock), Staley called a timeout. It was clear to everyone in the world that the Raiders were content to run out the clock and take a tie. It would've been a 56 yard FG from there and the risk of a block or something bad happening was too high. They even said this after the game. They were actually going to take a knee! So…

With a 41-23 record, the New York Giants are the only NFC team to register more wins than the Bears (40-24) over the past four seasons.

  12. So I wonder if the firing of both Pace and Nagy wouldn't be the biggest moral booster the Bears could make before the season ends. And I also mean tearing down the whole team. I don't think any D-fensive player has taken a team to a Super Bowl win, no matter how good, with out strong support across the board. Taylor, Butkis, Watt, Donald, Sapp, Mack. When the highest paid player is on the defense or offense other than QB your just not going to win. And this whole mindset of getting a QB on a rookie deal so you can build around him. In the last nine years only two teams won with a QB on their rookie contract. Wentz was but Foles won the big one. IMHO in to…

It's just one analysts opinion but it matches my opinion so I like it. (that's a little tongue-in-cheek humor so relax) http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000077...-2017-nfl-draft Hooker: "He has the best ball skills of any safety I've ever evaluated in college" This is the first time I've seen two safeties in the top 10 let alone the top 5 on anyone's draft board. It's still very early in this process so we'll see how things play out over the next 3 months but from what I've seen Allen is not going to be a dominating player in the NFL. He's blocked far too often by a single OG/OT for my tastes, and I think he benefits from the talent that surrou…

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...ears-april-camp CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears right tackle Gabe Carimi said his surgically-repaired right knee is now pain free, and he’s aiming to participate in the team’s first offseason camp in April. “That’s what we’re looking for,” Carimi said Saturday night at a charity event for the Jewish National Fund. “We’re making good progress. Getting me out there as soon as possible is a major thing.” Carimi, the Bears' first-round pick in 2011, injured his right knee in the second game of the season. He tried to rehab the knee without surgery. But after a setback, he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee in early …
