  1. Started by AZ54,

Sooner or later this Oline is going to come together. For now we still have individual players doing well in spots: Sitton, Long, and add Whitehair to that list. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2016/10/1...nfl-draft-class

Amos hits like safeties of the past but within the rules of this flag football league!

  3. Started by ASHKUM BEAR,

Hats off to Eddie Royal! He is becoming a big part of this team this year. After last season I was ready to move on, but the way he has been performing, they are lucky to have him locked up. Royal and Z Miller are our TD mahines, Pace has a couple of gems here.

  4. Started by Connorbear,

They better hold tryouts this week. Peace

We have two candidates for Rookie of the Year and there hasn't been much discussion. On offense we have Jordan Howard. Given the Cowboys record it's likely Elliot wins the award on offense but when you consider that Howard, behind the Bears Oline, is averaging 5.0 yds/att vs. Elliot at 4.9 yds/att he should be in the discussion. Add in the QB carousel the Bears have had and still Howard has been productive. In fact if he'd have played the first 4 game as Elliot did they would likely be close in total yards. These awards don't go to Oline but if they did Whitehair certainly should be in the discussion as well. On defense Leonard Floyd is in the dis…

  9. Started by adam,

I would love to see GB end up with 9 or 10 wins and miss the playoffs. That would be worth part of my misery for this season. Looking at the Division and Wild Card, Detroit has the toughest remaining schedule, but gets GB at home in Week 17 to more than likely decide the Division. For the Wild Card, the Giants are pretty locked in at WC1 and it looks like WC2 will come down to WAS, TB, and the 2nd best team in the North (probably the loser of Week 17 GB/DET). We still have a hand in impacting the playoffs as we play WAS and MIN to end the season. I would still gladly take 2 losses and hope JAX decides to win 1 for their new coach who play TEN and IND to close o…

It's just one analysts opinion but it matches my opinion so I like it. (that's a little tongue-in-cheek humor so relax) http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000077...-2017-nfl-draft Hooker: "He has the best ball skills of any safety I've ever evaluated in college" This is the first time I've seen two safeties in the top 10 let alone the top 5 on anyone's draft board. It's still very early in this process so we'll see how things play out over the next 3 months but from what I've seen Allen is not going to be a dominating player in the NFL. He's blocked far too often by a single OG/OT for my tastes, and I think he benefits from the talent that surrou…

The more mocks you do, the more names you notice. I present to you the most interesting name draft I could make. 1. Taco Charlton, DE, Michigan - It's a reach, but who doesn't love tacos? 2. JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC - Hopefully this would be some good juju for the rest of the draft. 3. Budda Baker, S, Washington - I almost went with DeDe Westbrook for repetition, but having good juju and karma is tough to beat. 4. Fish Smithson, S, Kansas - Fish tacos anyone? 4. Jake Butt, TE, Michigan - My inner 7-year old is laughing. His draft stock will fall because of the knee injury. 5. Chunky Clements, DT, Illinois - Chunky fish tacos anyone? 7. Storm …

  14. Started by ASHKUM BEAR,

If we know the Superbowl is still a year at least away, why not use this season to get a QB and his tools to get accustomed to the nfl now. Spend in FA to solidify the D while staying under 28 for age. When the 2018 draft comes the needs should be small so many BPAs to improve a playoff ready team with quality depth. Resign: Alshon Jeffery WR, Zach Miller TE, Brian Hoyer QB, Cornelius Washington DL, Sam Acho OLB, Miller is a team leader, he deserves another shot Cut: Jay Cutler QB, Mitch Unrein DL, Lamar Houston OLB FA signings: Kawann Short DL, Chandler Jones OLB, AJ Bouye CB, Jordan Poyer FS Draft: Trade- Carolina wants Jon Allen DL to replace…

  16. If the reports are true Jeffery and Glennon will both get 14 mil a year. Jeffery is worth it but think we may not get that deal done Glennon is not significantly better than Hoyer which is less than half the cost. So you sign Hoyer to 15 mil, 3 year contract, he has no problem being a bridge player and is statistically in the same tier as Glennon. So with the extra money we sign Jack Doyle to a three year contract 16 mil. ( he is a good blocker and can catch the ball) allow us to play 2 TE sets that enhance the running game. We sign Kyle /FB he is an excellent blocker and can catch the ball and run. He would be great support for the running game an…

I hadn't seen this posted anywhere but there is still potential to bring in a good CB. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/...pats-this-year/ Yesterday Pace said he's had some trade talks among all the other negotiations but that can be in any number of directions given our roster issues. If Butler is available this could be an intriguing option for us. Given the fact we also have to pay him a big contract the highest I'd go might be a 3rd Rd pick. I want to hold onto our 1st and 2nd Rd picks. I don't really see the Patriots with any incentive to trade him other than hoping someone throws a 1st Rd pick at them. Then again they signed Gilmore to…

I heard the bears are converting D. Hall to safety. That tells me , we may be drafting the top CB with one of our first two picks.
