I admit since I have Sunday Ticket, I overuse my DVR and have recorded not only all the games but this last week's NFL Networks episode of the Green Bay game. All told I've probably watched each game a minimum of three times. Anyhow my point in question format is, what is the deal with Todd Collins? Looking at the Chicago Bears website he is listed as the #2 behind Cutler. Yet what bothers me is that each time you see Cutler on the sidelines in between Offense possession he is sitting with Hanie going over stills and talking strategy. In almost everyone of those shots I never see Collins nearby. In fact I have seen him in a few shots hanging out by himself. What gi…

So, what is wrong with our Bears? Is this game a one-off F£££ up, or an indication of deeper problems? Will Lovie and company ever be able to deliver another Super Bowl? Is there any reason to keep watching this year....lol.?

We've spent a lot of time on mock drafts that we like, disagree with, like partially, etc., but has anyone put together a bizarro draft? Put together the worst draft you can imagine. Think of the players you hate, the ones that have question marks, the guys that don't fit the Bears' schemes. Slot them appropriately and then draft. For instance, my nightmare draft starts off like this: 1) Stephen Hill, WR, GT - The guy is raw, unproven, has very minimal tape or stats, played in a JV offensive system in college, and is a combine warrior who has flown up draft charts. That's a collection of red flags. 2) Zack Brown, LB, UNC - Head case, lazy, disinteres…

This is a slow time where, I sometimes feel dead and bloated, so might as well throw some comments out there to stir the pot. We all have our opinions about all that has been done by the Bears this offseason. New coaches and GM--most people are in agreement that we have upgraded the decision makers to run our team. Pace is suppose to be an young and ascending personal manager of which I like what he has done so far, but truth be told, we will know more of his talents 3 years from now. Fox, Fangio, Gase, ect. --the coaches we can see past history of being successful at their jobs and I think Fangio in the #1 defensive coordinator in the league . It will show…

We have added to some areas where our team will be improved. WRs,RBs, special teams, and backups. What of our weaknesses are most important to be a lot better to show great improvement with our record. DBs, DL, and OL. I think for us to be a solid team we need the OL to take a giant step forward. Without the OL we wont be able to take advantage of the weapons we added.

After all of us posting mocks, debating FA pickups and FA departures going forward my focus will be on how the current roster takes to this regime and how many of the veterans of the previous regime will survive this TC. I usually take a vacation and visit 1 day. I'm thinking about making a couple of days out of it when I go. What are any of the rest of you expecting to see.

3 games back in the Division and probably the WC after this week, with 8 to play. We would need a miracle to make the playoffs and this team has shown zero consistency to say they can sustain a run. The crazy part is we have now lost to a 6-2 team (NE), 5-3 team (BUF), 4-3 team (MIA), 5-2 team (GB), and 3-4-1 team (CAR). All actually turned out to be pretty good teams, and our Strength of Schedule is much harder than it originally looked. I would say the only possible way back would be to go 4-1 in remaining Division games (split DET, sweep MIN, beat GB), then beat NO and TB, and lose to DAL, which would be amazing and still only give us a 9-7 records (and …

Nolan Nawrocki, Pro Football Weekly: With the versatile Branden Albert still available, it's a surprise that the Bears would pass him, especially given the multiple holes that exist on their offensive line. However, Chris Williams has great feet and athletic ability and is very smart. He should allow John Tait to move back to the ORT position that he played in Kansas City. One pitfall that could eventually sting, however, is that the Bears now have two short-armed edge protectors and have to worry about both being injured, given that Williams was removed from some draft boards for back concerns and Tait is well-aged. Williams lacks the killer instinct, tenacity and n…

Last year is a blue print of what Pace does in FAgency. His first year he hadnt evaluationed the team yet and still had the previous regimes scouts in place. Last year he was in full control. Trevathan 4 years 24.5 Freeman 3 year 12 Hicks 2 year 10 Sitton 3 year 21 Massie 3 year 18 Freeman and Sitton are 30 years old but were upscale players, the rest are young and ascending. So I think this is what he will continue to do. Probably will get two higher end players. People in this category are : 8- 12 mil. Jefferson/SS Bouye/CB Gilmore/CB Trumine Johnson/CB Campbell/DE Okrung/OT I also think we gr…

Sure we wee 7-9 this year but we should not have been. Think about it we lost some games by getting blowed out (Bengals,Cardnials, Vikings, Ravens) but we lost some that we should not have like the 1st packers game, the falcon game and two others against the 49ers and the Eagles. You can even make the case that we should have swept the pckers like we did the lions. So we lost 4 games by a total of 4,4,7,7 and had a chance to win in the ending of the game that would be 11-5.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a pattern to whom we bring in and at what position they play? Well we need help at OT, DT, LB,SS/FS, WR due to FA or not having the right players to start with. But looking at some of the draft sites and information cloumns I see that we are looking at, talking to or bring in/working out DB'S, LB'S,dt and OL. Makes you wonder if we need a big WR, at all

Based on cap estimates, which I have no idea who's right. I have read they have at most is 15mil. Now they of course will redo some contracts etc. But what QB's that are free agents are still worth signing to even be a backup. And I just don't see trading for almost any of the ones available. Dalton. Foles, Newton, and maybe Carr. I just don't see any way they can improve their QB play and will be lucky to get a backup better than Daniels was. I can't believe they would sign Newton or Brady. What say you?

We knew what this season was going to be. Within that thought there were varied growth and win expectations from the Bearstalk family and media experts. This will be the single biggest off-season the Bears or maybe any other team has ever had. Do we know of any team has had the number one pick, an emerging QB and 120 mil to spend? Do you expect playoffs, winning record or vast improvement? What gives Poles and Eberflus the thumbs up?

First, I love seeing my favorite game gaining popularity in other nations. This guy has all the measurable you want at WR, or maybe at TE. I watched the highlight film and felt he would make a better move-TE than WR because his first step seems a bit slow. Then I see that he ran a 6.65 3-cone drill at his pro day. Those two don't match up IMO but we have to consider his highlights are most likely just him playing in Germany without the benefits of advanced training like he has been receiving in the last few months. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000064...er-on-nfl-radar FWIW the self-proclaimed best player in the draft, Jalen Ramsey, ran a 6.9…

Looking at some of the talk about Mendenhall entering the draft, I got to wondering. What sort of RB do we want to add to the team to compete w/ Benson. Now, I know some of you want to simply write Benson out of the picture, but I do not believe that is the teams plans. So assume for this argument we are simply looking to add competition for Benson. Do we wan to add a RB similar to Benson? I am talking about style. A north/south runner that has size and can run well up the middle. Or do we look for more of a speedy, shifty back that is known for catching as well as receiving? I know Jason would like to add a homerun hitter, but is that the sort of RB we …
