The team needs to make 2021 a reset year. Get rid of Phillips, Pace, Lazor, Furrey, Ragone and Pagano at a minimum. If you keep Nagy, tell him he is the HC only and the new OC will run the offense and call plays. Do your best to purge the roster, even consider taking on dead money this year to make 2022 better. If 2021 is going to be a reset year, let Nagy coach it as his final chance. If he doesn't improve, you don't waste a year on a new coach. Cut Leno, Massie, Hicks, Skrine, and Graham. Look to trade Jackson, Fuller, and Mack. The team will probably be stuck with the boat anchors of Quinn, Foles, and Trevathan in 2021, but all will be gone in 2022. You do n…

The skill of the players has overcome inept coaching for the last few years. It is so clear to see out on the field. Nagy replaced Trubisky with Foles and now after a few games, it is clear that QB was not the problem. If Nagy is unwilling to have someone else take over playcalling and admit fault (which started in KC), he needs to be fired. If he is willing to do that, then he can stay on as the HC. Otherwise, I am done with him. I don't care about the record, we are underachieving.

Seen this on the internet: QB room 1 MT, Foles, and a high draft pick 2 Foles a high pick and low pick 3 FA, Foles and high draft pick. 4 MT, FA and draft pick 5 High draft pick, FA, low draft pick My interjection Sign Jamis Winston, Foles, draft pick Winston has a pick problem but is a scoring machine., Better than what we have. Keep in mind it cost Foles 10.5 in dead money to go away so he is here no matter what (my opinion)

Poll Time, pick a QB from this tier based on what you know about their teams.

Hey Guys, So, this weekend we will all probably watch more than one game. When you do, pay attention to the rhythm of the other teams you watch. Notice how they gain momentum. They may not convert third downs and have to punt, but they look like they know what they're doing. In short, they look professional. We watch the Bears. Probably 85% of the games I watch are Bears games. I see the opponent for sure, but I see them in the context of this crazy rhythmless game. When I watch any other teams go at it, they may be bad teams, they may make bad decisions or plays, but you can feel the structure around them. The Bears never have that. And this is what coachi…

The Saints playoff game could very well be his last as a Chicago Bear. If he's a good QB, an NFL QB, wouldn't he want to truly display that for a future employer? Wouldn't he want to have a small piece of film to use to say, "The Chicago scheme severely limited me," and prove his actual abilities? If I'm Trubisky, this is the time to open it up. I'm going for a new contract with a different team, because the time in Chicago is almost certainly over. I'm trying to make a highlight reel to impress GMs who think that not only is Chicago where WRs go to die, but it's also where QBs go to die. If I'm him, on nearly every 50/50 opportunity, I'm throwing it up to give …

Right now the Bears are tied for the 12th worst team in the league with CLE and JAX (oh joy). Since we have the toughest SOS, we get the lesser pick (14th) in the first (to OAK) and then the 13th pick in the 2nd, and the 12th pick in the 3rd (to OAK). If the season ended today, we would have the 45th pick in the 2nd round and somewhere around the 52nd pick from the Raiders. Without 3rd and 5th Round picks, the Bears almost have to use one of those to trade down. I would rather use the second one and do something like this: 1. Select #45 2. Trade #52 (OAK) for #60 + late 4th + late 5th 3. Select #60 (from trade) 4. Trade late 4th and Eagles 6th to move up i…

I don't know about you, but I didn't expect this kind of season from our kicker. Santos broke all kinds of franchise records and ended the season making 27 straight kicks. His only misses were from 46 and 52, with one blocked XP. I really hope we can lock him up for a few years and not have to worry about kicking. Then our favorite ex-kicker Parkey is prepping to let down another entire fanbase in Cleveland in the playoffs.

I really like the new format where each conference gets an extra team. This prevents a team like the Redskins with a losing record from bumping a true playoff team like the Bears out of the dance. I also like that only the Conference regular-season champ gets a bye. That makes more sense as does a guaranteed home game for the division winners. Of the 6 Wild Card matchups, two are divisional games (Rams @ Seahawks and Browns @ Steelers). The Browns will have to beat the Steelers in back to back weeks to advance. All the games seem fairly even but the Bears are the biggest underdogs at -9.5. All the other games are between 3.5-6.5 pts. TEN @ BAL is a rematch (TEN won …

Thru the early games today, here is the current Draft Order. The Bears are literally in no man's land at #16. They also will be the only team in the NFL with exactly a .500 record thru Week 11. So depending on how things go, the Bears are only 1.5 games away from a top 10 pick and a game out of the last wild card spot. Not only that, if they somehow beat the Packers next week, they would only be a game back in the division. So next week the season is literally on the line in so many different ways. A win and the Bears actually put themselves in a pretty good spot for a playoff berth. Mainly because the two teams the Bears are chasing play each other twice (ARZ/LAR).…

I know there has been a lot of buzz during this last few game stretch where Trubisky has looked better. So I tried to see if anything stood out in this most recent 3-game stretch that was something we have not seen, at least from a numbers perspective, in his entire career. I did find one set of numbers that stood out. In 44 games where Trubisky had 20 or more passing attempts, he has only had a completion percentage over 70% in 14 games. 3 of those have occurred in the last 3 weeks. That really stood out to me. Obviously, the coaches have made some changes to make things easier on him, which has had led to some promising results. I however do not know if it wi…

I thought there was some good efforts today, some players showed they are who we thought they are. I’m not disappointed backing into the playoffs but going forward something I think needs to change organizationally. We know GB is the standard bearer, so given that has Teddy, Pace & Nagy really closed the gap. I don’t think so , so why not change something.

On offense I hope we run the ball and use a lot of RPO with Mitch. I think Green Bay will use a 5 or 6 man front similar to the front they used to stop Derrick Henry. From a 2 TE, 2 WR and 1 HB I’m hoping we can run the ball effectively and when we pass Mitch’s options are small so he can get rid of the ball quickly On defense I’m hoping that Johnson and Skrine are available and if we can’t pressure Rogers with a 4 man front Pagano can use some exotic blitz’s possibly with Smith and Trevathan showing blitz and coming or dropping out of it. I think having Hicks available will be a massive difference to the game earlier this year.

Friend of mine recently sat next to Alex Brown on a flight, they talked about the the Bears and SEC football for pretty much the whole flight...... Pace is loved by the McCaskey's. The phrase "Pace walks on water in Halas" was used by Brown. He thinks if there is a fall guy it will be Nagy. This was before the Detroit game tho, so depending how the rest of the season goes that could change.

  16. After seeing the Jets beat the Rams, then the Bengals beat the Steelers, I really hope the Bears don't crap the bed on this one with so much on the line. This is the worst team the Bears will face this year, 31st in DVOA, 25th Offensive DVOA and 31st in Defensive DVOA, only the Jets are worse. If the Bears manhandled the Texans, this should be a blowout, however, Minshew is actually really solid for a QB on a 1-13 team. He has thrown 16 TDs to 5 INTs and Robinson is one of the best RBs in the league. However, after those two and Chark, they have a bunch of very average players. The Jags defense is crazy bad, they have allowed 20 or more points in every ga…

I just wanted to give a shout out to Monty for his performance over the last few weeks. Lazor has emphasized the run and Monty and the O-Line have not disappointed. With such a turbulent season, revolving O-Line, QB swap, and yet Monty is still putting up top-10 RB numbers across the board. Here is where he stands in some major categories: 7th in Rushing Yards (906) 9th in Rushing Yards per game (69.7) 5th in yards after contact (485) T-7th in yards after contact per attempt (2.4) T-2nd broken tackles (24) T-2nd broken tackles per attempt (8.4) 10th in yards from scrimmage (1255) T-7th touches (245) 9th in receptions for RB T-1st with 0 fumbles …

What a crazy roller-coaster season and game for that matter, perfect for 2020. It has come down to a 2-game season. The Bears need to win both and hope ARZ loses one of their remaining 3 games (winning right now).
