  1. Here they are. Remember that they're downgrading almost everybody in the league pretty drastically. The goal is to eliminate the problem in previous Maddens where every halfway-decent starter had to be at least in the high 80s. This year the range of ratings for starters is going to be something more like 70-100, instead of 85- or 90-100.

  2. Got this from the Bears official site: Piling up the picks Bears may recoup losses with bonus draft choices Dan Pompei | On the NFL March 23, 2008As it stands today, the Bears have eight picks in the upcoming NFL draft, but if everything goes right they could end up with a dozen. They have their own picks in the first round (14th), second (13th), third (12th), fourth (11th), sixth (ninth) and seventh (15th). They traded their fifth-round pick to Buffalo for defensive tackle Darwin Walker. But they received a fifth-round pick (ninth) from the Panthers for Chris Harris. They also have the Chargers' third-round pick (27th) as a result of a draft-day trade l…

I think it’s time for Bush to step up at strong safety because there are players left in free agency with significantly more defensive snaps. As you can see below his defensive snaps have been low and his base salary is $1,262,500 which seems a lot of money for a special teamer Defense Special Solo Assist Sacks Yards TFL …

We all see the Power Rankings year after year and think the media hates the Bears. I honestly think there is a bias because of the rug-burned knees while covering Farv and Erin for the past 20+ years. While the Power Rankings this year don't seem to tell a different tale, the point spreads do. Bears 2023 Schedule ATS Week 1: Packers at Bears -2.5 Week 2: Bears -1 at Buccaneers Week 3: Bears at Chiefs -9.5 Week 4: Broncos -1 at Bears Week 5: Bears at Commanders -1 Week 6: Vikings at Bears (Pick em) Week 7: Raiders at Bears -1.5 …

Looks like FaceTime calls have taken the place if the old “top 30” visits. Saw the Bears talked recently to safeties Jeremy Chinn and Antoine Winfield, Jr. figured we could put more in this thread as they are reported.

  6. Since there's nothing happening on the free-agency front any time in the foreseeable future, I thought we should have a running thread for all the draft prospects the Bears are putting through private workouts, and all the Pro Days they're sending coaches to. After all, it's the only thing that's going on between now and April. So I've listed all the workouts I could find so far, along with a quick report on the lesser-known guys and on which coaches the team sent to see each dude. Gabe Carimi, OT, Wisconsin - Tice worked him out at Wisconsin's Pro Day. We all know this guy. I think most of us would be pretty happy to see him in a Bears uniform. Mike Pouncey…

  7. I'm getting confirmation by the weekend. I think tickets were $81...but I'd be willing to take a bit less. If you are at all interested, please send me a personal note and/or a reply here. I think the seats are in the end zone. 4 seats all together. I just want to see if any of the fans here want a stab at it before I contact some other folks... I can't make it to Chicago that day sadly and want the tix to go to good fans!

They are already running 15 minutes late. Wonder what is going on? Emery and Trestman don't look like guys that would run late for anything. Is there something significant coming?

  16. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...SPT-bear20.stng Bears get injury protection from Mike Brown deal Injury history cuts safety's '08 base salary to $950K May 20, 2008 BY BRAD BIGGS bbiggs@suntimes.com It's debatable whether the Bears have protection on the roster in the event veteran safety Mike Brown is injured again. There is no question, however, that the team has some protection in terms of finances after reworking Brown's contract. Brown has missed 43 regular-season games over the last four seasons -- including 15 last year after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the opener at San Diego -- and will hav…

As per Brad Biggs: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/break...0,5687009.story He's a 31 year old former #1 pick who did almost nothing for years, then puts up 12.5 sacks for Tennessee last season. On an unrelated note, we've also been linked to wanting Cullen Jenkins from the Packers. Pending cost, both these guys have glaring red flags with inconsistency and health. I can't argue we need to upgrade the d-line. That being said, we spend an enormous amount of time, money, and draft picks on the d-line, with disappointing results.
