Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. Try to keep it clean and most importantly BEAR DOWN! #BEARS #CHICAGOBEARS #BEARDOWN

  1. Goodell and finances I agree with him. It's ridiculous. The amount these guys get paid is crazy, but to see a rookie get it is that much more insane. Some will argue about capitalism, but it's not an equal comparison. If it were, there would be bidding wars on each player coming straight out of college, there would be no cap, and the NY teams would be in the playoffs for 20 straight years like in baseball. It'll be so nice to see rookies actually have to do something to get paid, and not crap the bed, costing their franchise tons of money without production.

Excellent start for our offense. Better protection for the QB. Forte looks ok. Orton is on target.

#5 Utah vs #23 Cal I believe college Game day is in Utah, should be lots of media hype. Big stage, pressure packed game against the highest ranked Pac 12 team. Lets see if Goff can handle it. Utah is suppose to have a pretty good defense too. If he plays lights out the media buzz around him is only going to get bigger.

Looks like John Fox places personality over production Email Facebook Twitter Steve Rosenbloom THE ROSENBLOG Recent Columns 1 of 91 JOHN J. KIM / CHICAGO TRIBUNE Bears tight end Martellus Bennett 9:57 am, March 17, 2016 It doesn’t matter whether you’re productive. It only matters whether John Fox thinks you’re all football, all the time, and nothing but football and don’t even think about writing a book or even reading one. That’s the message of the Bears reportedly trading their best tight end to the Patriots along with a sixth-round draft pick in exchange for a fourth-rounder. I suppose Fox feels better, even if his team…

http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2016/4/6/...s-leonard-floyd I dont see it at all. An undersized pass rushing linebacker who can't play the run? They say he isn't a 3 down player, but brings a pass rush on passing downs. But we don't line up in 3-4 in passing downs, we line up at Nickel, and 4-3 ends like Willie Young are more suited to a 3 point stance than this kid. Kiper isnt paying attention.

Just watched a video where they said Whitehair was definitely playing inside at OG. Maybe C. I'm not sure about this pick now. Is he a Slausson replacement? Is he a Grassu replacement? Doesn't matter the scenario, there is one problem remaining... No LT to push Leno. Leno may end up being the worst starting position player on the team this year, and that's not something you want in your LT.

    1. Everyone thinks the Patriots are pretty much the cream of the NFL crop. 2. Everyone thinks Bill Belichek is a mastermind when it comes to players, seemingly able to use scrubs and get results, casting off guys who do well only to find out those guys falter elsewhere. 3. Everyone realizes Brady is 39, and pretty much no NFL QB does well much after that. So why in the world would BB be so willing to depart with Jimmy Garoppolo? Think about that for a minute. And why would the Bears give up anything for him? Because he played a game or two in the real NFL? With the best team in the NFL? With the most structured team in the NFL? With the best coach in th…

It is obvious that the SF roster has more talent than ours does. We won today because the coaching ghost of Tony Dungy is haunting Halas Hall. Eburflus is an even better Lovie Smith. SF beat themselves with penalties, while we played clean. We worked for turnovers. We stayed with the running game LONG past the time when Nagy would have panicked, and many coaches would have gone into desperation mode. We kept our coverage rule breaking route combinations up our sleeve until the 4th quarter, kept it close and then played the cards Nagy would have tried in the first quarter. Had they worked ion the first, youd have woken up the SF offense, and wouldnt have those plays n…

  15. We are now over halfway through the first Poles season. For the most part, this is what was expected, especially after the trading deadline changes (Quinn, Smith). I know he was always going to get a free pass for the first couple of years, but how many free agent hits and draft hits does he have today? How many of those players are starters next year? If you brought in a league average free agent at a position, which Poles acquisition is starting over them? Brisker is the only one I can think of at this point. The top offensive guys (Fields, Herbert, Mooney, and Kmet) are all Pace guys. On defense, of the only sure fire keepers (Brisker, Jackson, Johnson), on…

Not many people project a WR to us in the first round, but JSN is an interesting prospect. JSN projects to be a Cooper Kupp type of receiver, due to his physicality, short area quickness and great route running. I was listening to ESPN 1000 today and the hosts mentioned that the need for good receivers helps develop a QB better than a good OL. (I don't subscribe to that theory, but they made good argument) At this point, I don't see is going that route unless we trade back to get him in the mid teens. That would also mean we get our OL, DL, edge and BPA in the second and third rounds. Thoughts?

Seems like he'll get a new gig. Will be curious to see who Bears replace him with. He was a tremendous hire and will be a big loss (albeit the draft pick compensation for losing him will be nice too). Latest is he is down to the final 2 with Washington. I haven't heard whether he is in the running with Carolina, New England, San Diego, or Oakland. Or am I mistaken and Oakland has a GM? Are there any other teams I'm leaving out? Certainly seems unlikely with that many GM jobs, that the Bears won't lose him.

  19. I guess its who you think the NFL wants as the first game. We will be better latter in the year so I would rather we play our division games later. I think if they have the top two QBs drafted play on Monday night. They could sell the new QBs to the nation.

Based on the lack of a 4th rounder (used for Booker), the Bears have to nail their first 4 picks with 75+ picks between picks after pick #72. #10 #39 (CAR) #41 #72 -Following Picks will change, but currently: #147 #197 (PIT) #218 or #246 (CLE) #233 (CIN) Depending on the board, they may want to move back with one of their 2nds or the 3rd to pickup another pick. Examples: Moving from#41 to #48 would net a mid-4th Moving from #41 to #55 would net a late 3rd. Moving from #73 to #85 would net a mid-4th.
