The only center still on the roster is Ryan Bates. He has arthritis issues in his shoulder. He did stem cell therapy, the question is, did that fix it? If Poles keeps him we will know the answer to that. Bring back Shelton? I would think more for depth than as a starter. I would say one of these 2 will be back at least as a backup. Dalman is the prize and will earn 10-15 Mil. Poles could decide to bring him in instead of the big spend on Trey Smith. Sign Kevin Zeilter and could get 2 players for the same money as Smith. Another option in free agency is Evan Brown from AZ. He played well last year and would be cheaper than Dalman. Then the draft. Lots…

Andy Dalton, Old QB1 Revenge Game. He just lost to his first team, CIN this week. CAR gave up 34 pts to CIN. CAR has a bad defense and a bad offense, and an overall worse team than LAR. They have allowed 47, 26, 22, and 34 so far. Their defense allows 35 pts on the road. Every team has scored at least 3 TDs against CAR this season. I am calling it now, Bears 31-16. CAR averages 18 pts a game and allows 32 pts per game so far thru 4 weeks. Defense now has 2 weeks of Andy Dalton tape.

Here we go! Another division game and a chance to go to 8-3 with a few extra days of rest after Thursday's game. Detroit is decimated with injuries and will more than likely be without Kerryon Johnson and Marvin Jones. They already traded Tate, so they will literally have two receiving threats, Golladay and Riddick. No other player has more than 12 receptions or 100 yards receiving. There leading rusher will be Blount (who I believed burned us a few years ago). Payback is a bitch. Sweeping the Lions in the season series on Thanksgiving would be sweet. I heard this is the quickest two-game span in NFL history (from the end of the Sunday night game until kickoff…

The Bears waived 14 players Friday, including guard Johan Asiata, fullback Eddie Williams, wide receivers Andy Fantuz and Onrea Jones, and linebacker Chris Johnson. The group also included nine undrafted rookies: Linebackers Tressor Baptiste and Deron Minor, cornerbacks Antareis Bryan and Ryan Jones, tackle Josh Davis, punter Spencer Lanning, defensive end Jake Laptad, center Alex Linnenkohl, and receiver Jimmy Young. The only player waived Friday who has played in a regular-season game for the Bears is Asiata, who appeared in the first two contests last year. The Bears still must cut 13 more players by 5 p.m. Saturday to reach the NFL’s 53-man roster limit…

Favre should NEVER play for the Bears, or the Vikings for that matter. Vomitous was the word he used. I completely agree. It's vomitous to consider the idea if you are a Packer fan losing Favre, or a Bears fan possibly gaining Favre. I know it's completely unrealistic, and will never happen, but it's mostly because Favre should be smart enough to know that playing for either the Bears or the Vikings would be a gut-punch to all his most loyal fans. With that said, have Bears fans become so desperate for a competent offense that they are willing to push aside decades of a heated rivalry, decades of genuine anger and hatred, to sign a guy who has continually rip…

Now that you know how all the teams thought, and how some picks went high, and some picks dropped, what would you have done differently? The Rules: -No trades that didn't happen -Picks must be made based upon players available after the Bears pick in each round Who would you have picked?

I saw a discussion on Twitter that said Wentz only had 6 more completions than Trubisky in college, which I was surprised to hear. So I looked up their numbers: Wentz - 392-612, 64.1, 5115 yds, 8.4 Y/A, 45 TD, 14 INT Trubisky - 386-572, 67.5, 4762 yds, 8.3 Y/A, 41 TD, 10 INT So the whole lack of experience thing with Trubisky is sort of bogus. Also, I cannot believe Philly didn't get more crap for trading up for Wentz. He was an FCS QB who only played in 7 games and was a 5th year Senior. How the hell was this guy even a top rated QB? When I look back at old articles, they don't even mention he was a small school QB who was hurt and missed 8 games?…

If this is the case and he is traded, what do you think we would get? My guess is a conditional 5th or 6th rounder. Last time we made a trade like this when we thought we had depth at a position we wound up regretting it later. Biggs is an idiot, but he makes some good points in the article. One week all signs point to ditching Lovie. Next week we are keeping him regardless of the record. Now Angelo says that he will evaluate himself as well as lovie at the end of the season. Maybe I am just projecting, but I think that with this loss and crap performance in Baltimore and the likely blowout with Minnesota (in chicago) with the possibility of losing to Detroit (played well against Arizona), leaving us at 5-11, that the team will clean house. Angelo did say that money wasn't an issue. He just wants wins. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=4759793

On another board someone brought up trading Young and cutting Houston. I thought we should hang onto the both of them as I thought both had a good year. I decided to look up some numbers, and they were A LOT better than I thought. The 2 of them combined for 13.5 sacks in 857 snaps. The 13.5 sacks would have been good for 4th in the league, and for comparisons sake, Watt and Mack who were 1 and 2 in the league in sacks both played over 900 snaps. That duo was really underrated.
