  1. Noot, May not always reply however, I do read your perspective every week. You are just better at putting into blog form and are more clear in your assessment that I am. I do my best to reply to things that catch my attention and do my best. You on the other hand have a great insight that I enjoy each week since I am not in Chitown and do not get as much coverage as I would like.
  2. Which in my view was still incorrectly called and missed the so called expert that was an NFL ref that Fox uses. Losing that challenge made Lovie gun shy for the next play with Cutler. I just do not understand how you do not keep the ball and I think fake the run up the gut and let the QB roll out wide and in. Of course if Walter was still alive and playing, they would have let Walter go up and over the top for the six. This just goes to show how far we continue to fall each day with this team and this coaching staff and GM.
  3. Hey Terra, I have to agree with Flea on this. Give yourself sometime to calm back down and realize that this team is totally inept with unfortunately the family in charge and having no clue. Ted Philips made a promise that things needed to be different this year and I am still boggled that we have won four games this season. We do not have the right personal at any position at this point and time and for anyone to think otherwise is not watching and seeing the mismatches that continue to plague this team nor the lack of concentration and heart from the players. I personally have looked at this season and did not expect much and have not been disappointed. I am frustrated by the people in charge and the fact that they are supposed to be respectable talent evaluators however, it is glaringly obvious how poor these evaluators are. Keep the faith that this may get righted one day however, may not be in the near future.
  4. He has flashes of brilliance once in a blue moon and Angelo does not want to believe that Olsen is another bust that he has drafted. I am still surprised that the team is 4-2 and would not be disappointed if they wound up 4-12 for the season. January 3, 2011 is not able to get here soon enough.
  5. To a degree Jason I agree with you however, from the little bit I have seen of today's game, this team is unlucky to be 4-2 (figuring a loss today) and there are still a lot of issues with everything. The offensive line is still a mess, Cover-2 is not that great of a defensive scheme and the personal that we have are all suspect at best beyond a few so called stars. Personally I hope that we wind up 4-11 and some how Philips, Angelo and Smith all get shit canned come January 3rd. Unfortunately the McCaskey family is very satisfied with the Status Quo and will always do what they want to do which is destroy the legacy of Papa Bear and this once very proud franchise. If I had the extra money I would start the following websites: www.firetedphilips.com; www.firejerryangelo.com and of course www.fireloviesmith.com It is just a shame that the people in charge of the teams of Chicago do not completely get it. It appears that the Blackhawks are starting to get it however, the NHL salary cap killed them. The White Sox and Bulls are run by the same evil empire and I won't even get into a discussion currently about my favorite baseball team.

    Jeff Garcia

Garica is currently playing for the 2-1 Omaha Night Hawks of the UFL. Here is the statistics that I am able to find for his season so far: Attempts: 113 Yards: 658 TD: 6 INT: 4 COMP %: 56.6% RATING: 77.2 Definitely better than Collins however, the UFL is full of washed up players including Omaha's leading rusher Ahman Green. I still want to get rid of Collins as well and not sure Angelo is willing, nor the family just dumping the salary of Collins.
  7. I know we signed this stiff to a contract for one year just over a million for the season however, if this does not prove how inept he is and why he never became something, we're screwed. The Turk should visit Todd no later than 8:00 am on Monday October 11th. Nuff said.
  8. I totally understand what you are saying TD. If anyone asked me prior to the season what I thought Da' Bears record would be after five weeks, I would have easily said that maybe 1-4 or possibly 2-3. To be 4-1 still boggles my mind. The schedule only gets more challenging as the season goes on due to lack of experience on the offensive line and the weather getting worse as the season wears on. I agree with Mad Lithuanian on this, we are Chicago sports fanatics and we are subjected to others that have the power and will suffer year in and year out with the teams and keep praying for the best. I am also one of the extra sick ones when it comes to this because I love the Cubs as well. Plus the Blackhawks (Thank you Rocky) and of course Da' Bulls.
  9. I totally agree as well however, the media is still quite jaded in my view. There are descent players before and after "Sweetness" however, no one was or is in any way shape or form the talent Payton was. Unfortunately we no longer get our due for the greatest football player in the history of the NFL. I was glad I was getting into football and was able to watch Payton for so long. I just still struggle that the man has been gone for almost eleven years now. Payton should always be at the top of any list for the NFL. Still bugs me that Emmit Smith has Walter's record.
  10. Noots, Love you review of the games and you have a pretty descent assessment of this team. On Tinoisamoa's sack, I still think that Clausen fumbled before he hit the ground and the refs blew the play dead far to soon. Glad he got the sack however, the "D" should have had a TD on that as well. Great review of the game.
  11. Flea, That would explain that there were a lot of times that Cutler looked a bit lost and day dreaming out there and in slow motion. We'll we ever get a true explanation of what was happening and why the coaches and medical staff missed something so important? I highly doubt it. Hope that Cutler is all right and with being in Carolina, I would be inclined to let Jay sit and I would start Hanie ahead of Collins. Did not like the Collins signing and I think Hanie has a lot more potential versus Collins.
  12. The only thing I do not like about this is, "5-154 Derrick Locke RB Kentucky 5-9 190 4.37 40." I am really tired of the undersized backs, whether running back or defensive back. I do not care if they are able to make some hits. We already have Garrett Wolfe at 5'7" in the offensive backfield who still surprises me each time we break camp and his is on the roster. With the receivers getting taller, I do not want vertical mismatches any longer. Other than Locke, I like the looks of this mock up.
  13. Plus knowing that Grant was even cut by the Omaha Night Hawks in the new United Football League has to make you wonder how much that the inmates are running the asylum. I have said it before and will say it once again, Philips, Angelo and the entire coaching staff need to be sent packing and sent packing now. We need someone who really understands the ins and outs of player evaluation and getting the most out of the talent from those players. Anderson has not be worth a damn since his amazing 12 sacks his rookie year and now we have a scrub who was cut three times this year alone. Getting rid of A.B. was a mistake and Tommie Harris continues to become less and less of a talent. Glad we some how got Peppers however, the offensive line is still suffering and Cutler, Collins or Haine are going to be running for their lives the rest of the season. I am shocked we're 3-1 and we'll see what happens in the next twelve games. I am personally not expecting much and at least that way I will be able to some what tolerate the season.
  14. I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised by today's results. The fact that it started out with some good smashmouth football and Da' Bears pulled it out is a very nice surprise. We'll see what happens next Monday night against the hated Cheese Heads. Fortunately I get to be in the stands for that game.
  15. You really think Iglesias is a younger version of Housh and Inglesias was waived on September 4th and is on the practice squad which is basically saying that he is not what they anticipated what he would become? He is another one of Jerry Angelo's busts that did not live up to the potential at all. Inglesias is a scrub at best and should be completely cut at this point. We need a proven receiver to help the two receivers that we have that will continue to be something in Knox and Aromashodu. Now there is a possibility to obtain Vincent Jackson from San Diego and we know that won't happen. We got lucky last Sunday against the Lions and it will be a very long season and we will not play .500 football.
  16. D.A. would be a hell of a pairing with Vincent Jackson and Hester is not ever going to be a legitimate #1 receiver. D.A. does have the potential however, we need someone stronger. Knox is good to, I am just not convinced that Hester will ever get it accomplished. We need someone to help teach the younger players and having Jackson as a target, probably primary as well would work out very well for us. Yet we still have a suspect offensive line at best.
  17. I know that Mike Martz is supposedly all right with the current wide receivers that we have however, we had a chance to obtain two of the better receivers in league during the off-season and one of the two was just recently released. The question is would you send Devin Hester to Arizona in order to obtain Anquan Boldin and would you have signed T. J. Houshmandzadeh who was released by Seattle for some reason that is not completely clear. Seattle would have to pay Houshmanzadeh the majority of the salary that he would receive after signing the free agent contract last year since Houshmanzadeh was placed on waivers. I think with the fact that Hester return skills have diminished so much with his focus on being a wide receiver and the emergence of Daniel Manning and Johnny Knox in those roles respectively, that having both of these receivers on the team would improve the team. I know this is speculation as Boldin is in Baltimore and Houshmanzadeh is there with him. Imagine if they were here instead and Cutler had some pass protection. I think that ball that Aromashodu dropped in the end-zone would have been the TD it should have been.
  18. 1st and goal from the one foot line had me asking, Where the hell is Walter? We needed Sweetness to go up and over the top. With the way that series played out, Angelo, Smith, Tice, Martz and the entire coaching and scouting staff all need to go and go tomorrow.
  19. Why just stop with Smith, how about we add Angelo into the mix and throw in Philips as well. This team has become even more pathetic after supposedly telling us all in January that they hear our displeasure and that they are going to make changes. Unfortunately Virginia does not get it and neither do her children. This team is in disarray still and unfortunately there is not much hope for the future.
  20. Do not remember that play however, the refs and the replay officials totally screwed that call up. Johnson made the catch and placed the football on the ground figuring he had the reception. To rule that it was all part of the play and that Johnson lost the ball thus resulting in an incomplete pass is just pathetic. Bears should have lost this game with the way they played today.
  21. I am working on putting together a group of people to head to Dallas. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I will keep you up to date on what is happening with the plans. Plans at this point is for people to start arriving in Dallas on Friday night September 17th and either heading out after the game or Monday morning September 20th. We may also put together a trip for the game in Toronto against the Bills. Let me know if you may be interested. Thanks, Robb aka ChitownMan
  22. I just wish we did not have to wait until the end of the 2010 season. At least this maybe the beginning of some good changes. We'll see.
  23. I would imagine that the game will be in Sky Dome so the weather will not be a factor.
  24. I like the fact that the bye week is Halloween itself. Makes it easier with my twins for me. Plus I'll even be home in Chitown.
  25. I am not sure which are worse, these throw backs or the orange ones.
