Here is some ammo for your project. There are many sites issuing top lists for the 2010 NFL Draft. I think listing projections at this point is a bit silly. I do not think one can determine that until at least near the end of the season. Many lists height & weights, again, they are typically inaccurate for many reasons this early. Some even lists 40 times, again, what is the rush. The main thing is to identify the top prospects to date and then add additional prospects as they emerge during the season and then of course Juniors as they declare. 40 times, height, weight, etc can be filled in as the season goes along and confirmed with the combine and individual workouts. Here are some lists to ponder and use if you wish to start things off. 3 are htm files and one if the excel database I created for you today. I hope you find them useful to give you ideas as to possibilities. We could possibly have a major listing(s) and then hyperlink each player to a thread or page created for each player where we can accumulate viewpoints of posters on each player as well as links to bios & articles & photos. We have a QUARTERBACK. Yes, it is hard to believe. We have upgraded our OL to protect this excellent MOBILE Quarterback. Forte average ypc will benefit immensely as teams will not be able to stack the "Box" Forte is an excellent receiver as well. Greg Olsen will be HUGE as a target for Cutler, Clark & K Davis will also contribute. Cutler's buddy E Bennett should have an excellent year. Cutler to Hester connection should be very exciting, Cutler can hit him on those deep routes. Then I read this from FootBallGuys.com: Then you add in our sleeper WR from the 7th Rd. This could be very interesting!!!!!!

Agreed. Now I did expect our early odds for the SB/NFC Championship to be a bit better. I thought we would be favorites to win the NFCN and therefore was surprised when GBP & MIN both got better odds for the season than the Bears. Thats ok, we just need to upset Vegas, LOL.

http://www.betvega.com/nfl/2009-week-1-nfl...eased-0769.html Bears are 3 point underdogs on the road to GBP. Not too surprised. http://www.betvega.com/super-bowl-odds.html Very little respect here, again, not too surprised. I would like to think we are going to kick some major ass this year with a revitalized defense and an Offense that will be for the first time in many years very capable of winning games and taking advantage of the field position our D and STs provide.

I hope your right but I highly doubt it. 1 or 2 "might" make it to the HOF, but a lot of good years will need to be racked up before one could say that. I do not even think Briggs, Kruetz, or Urlacher at this point deserves HOF honors until they end their careers on an up note and win a SB to boot. To reach the status of a retired number, that will be harder to obtain than the HOF with the Bears.

4 Bears listed, with Forte listed #2 overall behind Adrian Peterson of the Vikes. I believe (or hope) Cutler & Hester wind up higher than they are by season end. Olsen is the 4th player for the Bears to make the top 100. When was the last time we had 4 players in the top 100 of a FF Offensive Ranking? http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/rankings

Ok, now my tickets are purchased and I am waiting for delivery. No one has responded to this thread indicating they are going to attend. Surely some of you are going????

That is simply amazing. His athleticism is astounding and the "quality" of life he is living is refreshing. Thanks for the article.

Beware the annual "Angelo Redshirt" IR candidates.

Back in 2004 when I was restricted to my apartment do to health reasons and had tons of time on my hands SportsInfinity.net (the group that was our host for Bearstalk.com) started a draft site and asked me to be the lead publisher for the site's player profiles. I had several others helping to give me some views on players around the country which I would edit and publish along with a picture of the player in action. By the end of the draft I had slightly over 800 players written up and published on their site. With only appx 250 players being drafted, I thought I weould succeed in having a write up on every player drafted. Not to be, there was a dozen or more players drafted I never heard of and failed to have writeups on. I was totally pissed. LOL I think it would be a great idea. The trick is how to compile the entries from our posters to give us an accessable database for all to view instead of just a lengthy thread without any form of orgainization.

In 2009 he truly sucked. However, he was one of our most reliable receivers in 2008. What happened to him last year? I do not know. We are hoping for a lot from our 3 new draft selections, now or in the future. We are hoping Bennett emerges this year. Just who do we have on our current roster with any legitimate NFL experience at the WR position other than Hester? I still stand by my earlier prediction that Angelo will add some experience at this position before the season starts.
-
Let's see - Stands 6'5 3/4" tall, has 35" arms, and can obviously has an excellent vertical leap. Can we say he will at least be interesting to watch when attempting to block place kicks?
-
Angelo is obviously looking to add a legitimate #1 WR with experience but after ARI refused to trade Boldin to the Bears, there are no other players who fit this role available. That does not mean that if the opportunity presented itself in the next 3 months leading up to Camp, he would not go for it. Current lists of available WRs are littered with #2s & #3s. Will B Edwards become available after the Browns drafted 2 WRs high in the draft? Will there be any other surprises up JA's sleeve before Camp? Could be very interesting indeed.

Oh, I agree, I do not think STL will free up Otowge. Just confirming SEA did remove the tag on Hill. STL would be fools to let Otowge go.

Check it out - Confirmation

Or does he play Safety? Or do we now move Tillman or Vasher to Safety? Gives us some interesting scenerios.
-
It was for the 4th selection in the 3rd rd and the 4th selection in the 4th rd, giving us 2 3rds, 2 4ths, & 2 5ths. I think it was a good trade in that the players we wanted with the 2nd were gone and the players remaining we were targeting will probably still be there in the 3rd.
-
Agreed, we got very high selections in the 3rd & 4th. We got better value than DAL got for an almost idental trade. Lets see how it works out.
-
Dallas, shortly after we traded out of the 2nd, traded their 2nd for the 75th & 110th picks.
-
We get 3rd round #68 & 4th round #105
-
Looks like a trade down
-
If we go WR you ould be right. I am totally confused as to what we do. Possibly trade down.
-
That really sucks, especially going to DET.
