  1. I went with Anthony Miller WR even though it was close or even with Roquan Smith. I think Miller will become a favorite target with Robinson drawing extra attention and he will put up monster numbers. It is hard to take Daniels lightly also, he was a steal. Hearing Pace take about Iggy, makes me think he will become something special too. He stayed true to his value board and didn't pass on him even though he had Smith.
  2. And if we did a this is my final type mock draft and held each other accountable, can we sustain a mutual Bear board friendship? It would be a fun exercise. I know I had different thoughts on who we ended up with and hate a few picks, but give the benefit of doubt. I never kept track on players from previous years except if one did well. Start one next year, I will participate
  3. If he is the top backup for Smith or envisioned as the LB next to him, he has a role. You don't get depth through UDFA, as we are used to.
  4. He was clutch, able to come down with throws in big games. Ridley's brother was there top target, but Wims was what you want to compliment. A reliable guy who works under the shadows and does more than credit is given. Those guys work hard to not be recognized.
  5. I think you got them right. You really dont want to hit rd 4 or after hoping for starters. The Bears had one spot to fill at OLB imo, but if you don't address rd 1 or 2 how can you expect them to be NFL ready year 1. Fitts can develop and maybe year two takes over for Lynch and Houston/FA brought in. I wanted a OT to develop to replace Massey, guess that is a hot prospect next year now. This team is nearing completion and drafts will become trading down and drafting kids to bring along instead of bringing in to start.
  6. With the 7th, the Bears select Javon Wims WR Georgia. I have been wanting him for a long time. They got a slot and Wynn who will become a solid outside WR. Love this pick the most right now. Think he can be special
  7. Ankle and foot is his injury history. Maybe a year of NFL work can get the strength built up and he can become a force. He has intangibles to be a good player but was restricted with injury. I dont see him starting right away, so look for the Bears to bring in Houston or even Willie Young.
  8. We got our OLB - Kylie Fitts Utah Good pick, I looked at him early and thought he could fit.
  9. One thing about the draft, we get most of our info from internet gurus. Looking at were players go, we are off course more often than not. We see our needs, but don't know Pace and Nagys plan and their targets. There are still some names I've projected as 3rd rounders available in rd 6. My player, hope like heck we get him is Quenton Meeks CB. Like Equan St Brown as a bigger target WR. Aruna at OLB. Holton Hill CB. We will see what Pace and co think
  10. Sounds like he is more of a DE, that can move inside. Good upside and depth was a need on dline. It's not like Bullard or RRH can slide to NT and moving Hicks inside takes him away from a position he excels at.
  11. Sucks that Josh Sweat OLB, a need, went a little later to PHI. This kid better be just as special as Roquan bc they are similar. They probably fell in love with him when looking at backup plans if Smith was not available
  12. And Detroit jumps up ahead of the Bears for De'Shawn Hand DE Bears select OLB Joel Iyiegbuniwe W Kentucky.
  13. It would be a diamond if the Bears can convince Baltimore to trade 2- 4ths right now.
  14. Read Pace intends to plug him in at G while cross training him at C.
  15. Yes, he would be a great pick. Missed him. I like Sweat if he clears medical too. A lot of choices, hope a handful fall.
  16. Still some decent names. Some have medical risks Josh Sweat OLB Tim Settle DT Maurice Hurst DT De'Shawn Hand DE Quenton Meeks CB Duke Ejiofor DE Jaylen Hayes DE Tyrell Crosby OT Jamarco James OT DeSean Hamilton WR Equan St Brown WR Luke Falk QB
  17. Want some more to chew on? Miller suffer a Jones fracture in his right foot during the bowl game. He did not run at the combine. He should be fine...right? Dont worry about that speed, Antonio Brown was a 4.56 40 guy. It is about separation and he can be our AB.
  18. The only knock on him is his age. He is 24. If he played at a bigger program, he may have been the top WR. The Bears got a dynamic player who can play inside or out. He will be familiar with the offense as he was on an RPO offense.
  19. Possibly, but would hold tight until we can see if Kyle Long gets on the field on time.
  20. We may luck out like we did with Eddie Jackson and get Arden Key in the 4th who has some questions on injury and off field issues. Still feel they should sit tight here on out.
  21. I hear you, it is nerve racking losing picks each year. I think once they have a their starting core, they can reverse mortgage and start gaining picks. I like what they are doing and hope they can still end up with Brandon Parker OT for development and a OLB.
  22. He will excel in the spread and zone blocking. It will be about movement with him. He is another scheme fit, just like A Miller WR.
  23. He also played in a RPO offense and turned short routes into huge gains. He will become a high target and will be a blast to root for.
  24. Wish Pace would start trading down. But he is not messing around. He brought in 3 starters, two that will help Trubisky blossom. Still have 4, 5, 6, and 7th to grab some sleepers.
