This team has teased us with the slot. From the beginning many mock sites had us with the #1 pick. The 0-3 start made it believable. Now it is getting realistic that we will be in 20's or later. As this team improves, the big needs get smaller as players improve. On D, finding a 5T DT that can hold the edge and move the line would be nice. The D line is thin and I think they will continue to draft DT's until we get it right DeForest Buckner? OLB with a little more speed would be a luxury, would love to see Myles Jack picked. ILB is also a concern, which for a Fangio D, I expected to see better play. Offensively, we always need O Line, RG or LT.

We finally got one! Good for the Bears to get that off there backs. Injury riddled all season and we went into GB and stuck to the game plan to seal a W.

This game is starting off sloppy. Bad footing, slipping off tackles, making mental mistakes almost every play. Lets get it together boys.

Possible sign White will play this year????
ASHKUM BEAR replied to Chitownhustla's topic in Bearstalk
He is on a strict NFL guideline which is monitored by the league. He has to accomplish certain "practice protocols" which makes sure he is not just jogging on the sidelines and is taking part in the requirements. White has said the only thing that he notices is the screws and that has him a little concerned. Other than that, the bone is structurally healed. He now has to regain the strength and flexibility....and of course get up to speed with his teammates. I would think he will see limited action by the 3rd week. To be honest, if we our out of contention completely, why not shut him down so we don't remind the division what we "may" have. -

Best news in a while! Now wouldn't it be awesome to see him be a secret weapon for the GB game. I know that is hoping for too much. -

Rumor is they wanted Fales and were going to sign him to there 53. Which could be a move to force the Claussen release. Another name I see is Quentin Coples OLB who was released by the Jets. He was drafted before Shea I believe. -

If White gets activated, a WR will get waived and signed back to the ps. -

Nice detective work. The Bears have to decide tomorrow I believe. Hopefully they kept hush and he is able to fully go. -
Scouts saw him as an NFL starting caliber prospect, more so in a west coast offense. Who says he cannot be a poor mans Derek Carr?
-
I put $5 on the Ravens signing him. Trestman and Claussen reunited!
-
Goes to show you they are rebuilding and continuing to move forward. They knew what they had in Claussen and knew he was not going to be a part of the team next year. Giving Fales the practice time and getting a closer look at him will help them evaluate his worth.

Hindsight now shows those 3 pts would have been a Bear W. I didn't consider that being aggresive, I thought it was playing russian roulette but with only one chamber empty. 2pts conv rate is 47% in the NFL, toss in a top 5 D and those odd get lower. Either way, they hung in there as I do not want to see a 2014 ever again. On the bright side, the draft slot improves.

This is on Fox's decision to not take the 3 points. Fire Fox will start heating up. Too early?
-
Stupid stupid, take the freaking points. Fox gonna cost us a win.
-
Shea failed to drop into coverage there.
-
#14 Thompson made the KO return. Good to see them addressing issues.

Seems like we have quite a few starters hurt, could use a healthy McPhee, but we may save our horses for Thursdays game. Conceding if we must to an AFC opponent. I do like and think we will see a lot of two TE sets which will provide mismatches in coverage. That along with Grasu back should give our offense an edge. This will be a grind it out game, so Cutler and co will be doing less hurry up offense. Mistakes or refs bad calls may be the deciding factor. Bears 17 - Broncos 16
-
No sense to elevate Jones if Grasu is close to healthy. Jones is an emergency plan if someone else goes down. If he sticks thhrough the offseason, he may get a look to compete for a role.
-
The wise moves are to re-sign your own. I would also hold off on Long since he has one more year left, like they did with Alshon. Spend on FA's that are young, like McPhee that show signs of taking that next step. With 9 draft picks, if they choose right will leave little room.

No way do you let a good football player just walk. First off, I would try and extend the guy. Take that 6 million and spread it out and help both parties if we need cap. If they really have to free up cap space, trade the guy. He is one of the best all around TEs in the league now and should command a 4th at best. If he didn't have to help block, he could be putting up better stats. He is being asked alot this season with the makeshift offensive lines.
-
The biggest difference between the two, is Langford has speed. Carey can move the chains consistently, but no homerun threat. Going forward, we are looking good if we lose Forte to fa. I have seen a lot of cut Carey early on and I am glad they stuck with him. He is finally getting a chance and making the most of it.

Thanks for posting. Was thinking of this a day or two ago. Last digging I found was Oct 27, White was quoted as saying it is not coming along as he had wanted. Hopefully things have changed since then, he could use the experience. With the injuries continuing to hit the wr core, we could use a capable body.. AJ and Royal both listed on injury report.
-
Hopefully he can win you back a little. I think i have become numb to how the season bounces or a player performs with the past few seasons, but felt good last night. When Miller caught the go ahead TD, the camera showed something I have rarely seen. They showed Jay excited throwing an all out fist pump. They also caught Jay slapping his players on their rear as they headed to the sideline and he then seen Marty slowly making his way so he jogged back out to him. He has turned a corner this year I believe and is showing signs of the type of QB Pace wants. The next few weeks may not turn out as wins, but I think you will see the different QB.
-
They kept coming at him, but only 77 yds of rushing. Held 1st round pick Gordon to 31 yds and Woodhead to 33. That is good considering SD was missing nearly all of their starting WRs. Anderson was not drafted and playing as a rookie. It may take him a year to get accumulated to everything and we may have a solid/cheaper option when negotiating with Shea.

3 and 5 and picking near the middle...so far...ugh. That tastes like a 10-6 or 9-7 season and barely missing the playoffs and picking 15th.
