I agree and think he is a lock on the roster. I just thought he would get a look with the first string. He will be a solid #2 and ST guy.
-
Not sure why, but Sam Acho is not dressing tonight vs Cincinnati. This is pretty much the final dress rehearsal for starters or bubble starters. Acho should still be a lock, but I don't see him starting week 1.

Hold on Nelly....I love draft day, but right now I am stoked for 2015 to play out. I actually think we can close the gap with the next draft if we hit on 3 picks. OLT, CB, and S. The rest can go to BPA to add depth.
-
Too bad and during an exhibition game. Next man up as they say. If the Bears can pull off a W, i dont want to hear excuses.
-
Great game points Bears4ever34. I think even Jay showed improvement.
-
That was a deep route. Other considerations is the time to get deep, where was the pass rush and where was the help over the top. Those plays happen with a good wr/qb especially with TYs speed. My draft considerations right now have CB and Safties high. Not saying with our first pick but top 3-4 rounds we need to address. I'd really like an OLT round 1.
-
Defense looking pretty good against one of the best offenses. I know it's preseason, but it is a good indication this 3-4 will be exciting. McPhee, Allen, and seeing McClellin in almost every play is great.
-
I would have preferred defense first at draft time. I will take Goldman/White over Danny Shelton DT and a Second RD WR though since BM had to go. Unfortunately White injured the tibia, which wasn't known. Just pure bad luck. In good news, it finally sounds like former first rounder Shea McClellin is shining. Silver lining found for me for the moment. I know he has drawn a lot of hate, but it is possible he found a place to excel his skills. Also, Adrian Amos moves into starting FS. Vereen couldn't hold down the spot. Wonder how long until we hear more on Mundy?

Been listening to the score. I agree the season is over for him also. Next man up. Chicago is were first round draft picks come to die.
-
Fire Pace! Just kidding, their was nothing on this at the time of the draft. Could be season ending, might have him second half?
-
So...NE drafted him, but they also traded him. Watch Groy turn into a probowl RG...just saying ?
-
Wow, I didn't get that memo when I entered camp. I sent a couple snapchats to a-rod ?

I did not notice from my view, I was on the southeast end on the bleachers. I seen alot of the defense lined up and the pass plays happen once the routes opened up. I think Denver moved Julius Thomas around a lot. Bennett will also eat up many looks Marshall got in go to situations. On defense, McClellin looked fluid in the middle. I wasn't impressed with his coverage though. He seemed slow at recognition and had to try close the gap. But on run plays, he shifted quickly to avoid blocks.
-
I will say the one player that impressed me the most on offense was Martellus Bennett. He is going to tear up the stats again. He can catch, has moves, impressive speed, and can also punish. Draft him in your ff if you have ppr.

Pace said he will start running on hard pavement next week. I would almost think by late next week he will have pads on. His biggest aspect of his game is speed. The Bears are only be cautious not to hamper that aspect. Sure it is slowing his development and we worry on that, but this is smart. Last season the GM/coach allowed Marshall to play when he should have sat a few weeks out. Marshall not 100% took plays out of the playbook. He was still a threat, but not a homerun one. By the seasons start we will have forgotten all of this.

I would rather him take it easy now. TC is important, but not the end all. Doing game preparation is the biggest factor imo. TC is reps but mainly it is about getting the body into game state.

I made today (Thursday ) also. Beautiful day to enjoy.
-
I am intrigued about Sutton too. Too soon to give up on him. He was 3rd rd talent. He will probably see more opportunity on nickel packages.
-
I think it still comes down to how the oline performs. If the Bears can establish a run game, they will be able to pass off of it. That goes to whoever is behind center. I do think Cutler will have an up year and every year his contract gets easier to swallow.
-
Even Bostic got some positive notes while running with the first string. Right now it is all fluff until game day. I just want the best two.
-
Here's to Fangio, to putting our guys into position to succeed ?. Growing curves are expected. Having a great coach should show dividends. It's make or break year for nearly half the roster.
-
The thing about Shea or anyone on the D the past two years is the scheme and coaching. Who shined on the D during those years? To pick on the McClellins, Houston, Allens, Bostics etc has credibility, but if you look deeper down, it wasn't like those guys lost the ability to play, they were not put in position to succeed. I think we will see guys improve just in the schemes alone. Im always drinking the kool-aid tho.

Would love to go watch, but taking the boat out with friends... finally. Living just 20 minutes away it is kind of a day to day thought of going. It is hard to access anything while there anyway since the crowds are usually full and getting a good view is hard. I may just wait until the week and take a vacation day. It is much more exciting with pads on also.
-
I really don't know much on Rodgers but my initial thought was he was a speed guy being a ST returner and 3rd down back. His main element sounds like blocking well and catching out of the backfield. If he does lack speed, im all for seeing our young guys get hard looks.
-
Hate to say it, but Fangio is really high on him. Who is Fangio? He was the LB coach of the NO Saints core that was voted best in the NFL. He also got great play out of Bowman and Navarro. My hopes are not high, but it would be a gift from football gods if Shea gave us great/positive production. Fangio is a LBs coach and hes elevated almost every group he's coached.
