It might be easier jumping on another bandwagon. Sad they are so far away. QB is not the most glaring need, but we may just have one fall in our laps as disgusting as this seems. This team lacks defensive talent at all levels, yet we will spend out top picks again on QB and oline.

Watching Claussen is garbage, to those that would rather watch this than Cutler is bs. I do not buy the hamstring either, rather a shoulder and Fox being sly. This team needs so much more than a new QB I'd like to see a STL Rams deal if we finish as bad as it is looking.

Uggh, what happened to Fuller? Since his injury last year he has been terrible.
-
Bunch of game balls going home today. Nice to see Langford taste paydirt. The Bears are keeping this game..
-
I was thinking Dunn, since Ratliff will play more NT. I do want to see Williams develop with the Bears though.
-
It is only because Acho cannot play today. They need someone to cover his ST duties. Once he is healthy, he will be re-signed and Barrow back to the practice squad. This is worked out under the table with Acho. That is my hunch

Everything I have heard for years about Jay is that he is a good leader. He is smart, puts in the work, and gives effort. His teammates may not always like him and it has been noted. I think Jay lacks as a people person. He is not going to buddy up and give you slack or hold your hand (Hester). He will call you out and it may be snarky. When he gets frustrated, you can see he forces things. He fails to succeed when things break down around him (line not giving time, wr running wrong routes, poor play calling, etc) We all know and see these deficiencies. Jay takes the hits and keeps coming back whether it's getting sacked, his players/coaches throwing him under the bus, the media, or fans. This guy deserves a statue so the world can egg it forever. He may not be a Manning, Brady, or Rodgers, but he is our QB. Time to step up.

Hopefully Tayo progresses and becomes a contibutor. The team may cut Bushrod next season to cash in on the cap savings if he doesn't improve on his play lately. I gave him a little relief since Slausen went down last year. No excuses this round. The team may be best off to draft a OLT if there is one available at our pick.
-
Wednesday they have to release the injury list. We will know more then. Maybe Fox is being sly like a fox and our offense will be potent?
-
I think they will have around 60 million. Cam Chancellor anyone?
-
Mills was given a fair shot to start in the nfl. He couldn't succeed vs the 2nd team. I think he mentally checked out and it is better off to part. Plus moving Long is progress. Spending a 1st RD pick on a G is a luxury the Bears cannot afford.
-
Contract stipulations is why Houston won't go. Plus this is the D he succeeded in at Oak. Hate to see Willie go, but maybe we get a good draft pick?
-
Terry Williams NT Zac Dysert QB Ify Umondu WR These three I hope land back on our practice squad and not picked up somewhere else.
-
Fangio's expertise is LBers. NFL Network name the old Saints LB corp the "Dome Patrol" the greatest corp of all time and Fangio was the LB coach. Everywhere he has coached has churned out LB's. Hopefully he can stay in Chicago for a while and bring us another chapter in our LB history.

I think we will draft heavy offensive line and defensive backs next offseason if that helps. A lot will depend on the performance of Jay Cutler. It does not matter what QB you put behind center if he does not have protection, so they better get a line established with decent depth behind it.

Looks like the Bears may have seen enough of Leno/Mills as Kyle Long was at RT today in practice with Ducasse playing RG. I think Long will see some reps at the final preseason game to break in. http://www.chicagofootball.com/2015/08/31/...tackle/a9uo5tl/

I wonder how many teams were waiting for the Bears to cut Mundy (NY Giants). The Bears kept really quiet on his injury issue. Tim Jennings- I thought his salary would have justified him sticking for depth. He was one of the veterans last year that brought the team in for "players only" meeting. I wonder if he was considered a cancer?
-
I agree and think he is a lock on the roster. I just thought he would get a look with the first string. He will be a solid #2 and ST guy.
-
Not sure why, but Sam Acho is not dressing tonight vs Cincinnati. This is pretty much the final dress rehearsal for starters or bubble starters. Acho should still be a lock, but I don't see him starting week 1.

Hold on Nelly....I love draft day, but right now I am stoked for 2015 to play out. I actually think we can close the gap with the next draft if we hit on 3 picks. OLT, CB, and S. The rest can go to BPA to add depth.
-
Too bad and during an exhibition game. Next man up as they say. If the Bears can pull off a W, i dont want to hear excuses.
-
Great game points Bears4ever34. I think even Jay showed improvement.
-
That was a deep route. Other considerations is the time to get deep, where was the pass rush and where was the help over the top. Those plays happen with a good wr/qb especially with TYs speed. My draft considerations right now have CB and Safties high. Not saying with our first pick but top 3-4 rounds we need to address. I'd really like an OLT round 1.
-
Defense looking pretty good against one of the best offenses. I know it's preseason, but it is a good indication this 3-4 will be exciting. McPhee, Allen, and seeing McClellin in almost every play is great.
-
I would have preferred defense first at draft time. I will take Goldman/White over Danny Shelton DT and a Second RD WR though since BM had to go. Unfortunately White injured the tibia, which wasn't known. Just pure bad luck. In good news, it finally sounds like former first rounder Shea McClellin is shining. Silver lining found for me for the moment. I know he has drawn a lot of hate, but it is possible he found a place to excel his skills. Also, Adrian Amos moves into starting FS. Vereen couldn't hold down the spot. Wonder how long until we hear more on Mundy?
