Emeney really? That was a cute pick. Out smarted the league. Sorry kind of let down.
-
Bears trade? Why not if it costs a 4 or 5?
-
Don't sweat it, you will be disappointed anyways when they reach for a DE tweener nobody thought about anyways lol.
-
Don't do that! I was sure the game was tomorrow and about flipped. I want to go to bar/grill to watch and if hockey is on, then I wouldn't get to listen to the draft.
-
I am optimistic, if Lewan or Matthews makes it to 12, the Giants will take an OLT. They need to protect there biggest investment Manning and help another 1st RD pick Wilson RB. Then it comes down to STL. This draft can go in so many directions.
-
You must be a saleman!! Because you are selling him, and I like. If he is all that, then he should be drafted top 15 or higher. I still will stick with Donald, Pryor as my one/two, but Mosely slides ahead of CB.
-
Don't forget Shea, who is at 250 too. I guess I wasn't impressed with his 15 reps. He may turn out as good as a Kuechly, but my gut tells me different. LB is a need with Briggs career winding down, but not RD 1 imo. If the Bears do take him. I will become his biggest fan, I just hope Donald is the pick.

I know there is speculation that LB is a big need and Chicago is known for its great history of MLBs. Going through the last 5 drafts, only 3 MLBs taken round 1. Two are from Alabama, Rolando McClain and Donta Highower, and Luke Kuechly Boston College. Size wise, 6-2 265 for Hightower and 6-3 242 for Kuechly and McClain. With this history, would the risk of taking a smaller Mosely 6-3 234 (15 reps on bench) at 14? Plus he has injury history, which may be because he is almost the size of a SS. The only MLB I feel worthy out of this group is Kuechly, and he is a difference maker/probowler. I'm not saying Mosely won't be good...but, he is small and has average speed, and won't fill the shoes of Chicago likeness. He has a high football IQ and that's helped him excel. My suggestion is draft someone like Zumwalt this year, and reinvest next year. Also having hope that Bostic/Shea can grasp the MLB, because there's not much in terms of blue chip prospects next year draft class either.

I have a mock draft problem, but not "THAT" bad of a problem, were I would pay! LoL Hell, I am already looking at 2015 with a good idea on team needs.
-
It's all down hill now, Blackhawks tonight anyways! My draft night will be at the Crazy Beaver, having a late dinner and a couple of drinks with fellow Bear friends.
-
Wouldn't Bucannon and Bailey both be more in the mold of SS? I also see Jernigan going in the bottom half.
-
I still think we should take a flyer on one in the later rounds. Tom Brady is due to happen again.
-
It could be more smoke to. Encourage teams that need QB to get one in the first two rounds. I think a qb can be groomed from the lower rounds if a team actually spends the time and effort to develop him. I would like to see a team have the regular coaching staff and then development coaches that can spend more time with the younger players.

I have no problems if the Bears see Mosely as a long term answer to making this d dominant again. I also would like to see if Bostic, Shea, and Greene can develop. Regardless, we will need depth, especially after this season. I also think our d will have a different feel to it next season. We will see different fronts and more blitzes, and I think 4 LBs on the field at times. I think that is why we are eyeing Barr if he falls as an option.
-
My take-these are 6 he like, he'd be escatic if 3 are available. Donald Lewan Ebron Dix Pryor Barr
-
a.) He fills a position of need (DT, S, CB) b.) He likes his prospects from the senior bowl that excelled c.) He has leaned more towards athletic/physical ability
-
I'm not big on the need of a LB, but he would be towards the bottom of my RD3 players I would target.
-
Emery also said teams have contacted him about trading down. But a player they are interested in will need to be available. He didn't rule out offense either.

The all LSU draft, blah: TRADE #14 TO CLEVELAND for #26, (2015) 1ST RD PICK, AND 2014 4th RD. 1. Odell Beckham Jr. WR 2. Jeremy Hill RB 3. Ego Fergusan DT 4. Zach Mettenberg QB 4. Anthony Johnson DT 5. Lamin Barrow ILB 6. Craig Loston SS 6.0 Trai Turner G
-
Donald/Hageman! Nice, you can have flexibility of rotating the two also. With fear of Donald not being an everydown guy and Hageman taking plays off. If Bucannon was there I'd question that. Fun to follow and keep it going
-
Two TE sets is what this offense needs, but the defense needs to be the focus. If this draft somehow fell this way, I'd be ecstatic. It seems unrealistic but hey, it has me dreaming. I seen a mock today with Buccanon as the first S taken. This was done by ourlads, which were former nfl scouts.
-
Being in the Bourbonnais area might be a little more interesting having cameras in town. I've never asked for autographs, but shared handshakes, beers, and games of bags and golden tee with many players. Not sure if they follow the players out, but if so i may get a cameo.
-
I'm fine with Mosely, but like mentioned before I would prefer Donald, Dix, and Pryor before. Shutdown corners are a premium, thats why I think you take one before a LB.
-
Detroit may be using Suh as bait to trade up for Watkins. Another trade possibility is SF looking to trade up for WR Mike Evans. If Evans makes it to 11, doubtful, the Giants would love to move down with multiple needs at TE, OT, C, DT. That may give the Bears a shot at Donald. But SF will be a player in getting Evans.

Pick 11 is worth 1250, pick 11 is worth 1100. Our 3rd is worth around 200, there 5th around 50. It worked out value wise.
