Is Marshall on the way out?
All this Marshall has to go is garbage. Until Ryan Pace decides this, speculating is what it is. If teammates are afraid of Marshall, than maybe they are the ones that need to go. Brandon is a loud mouth. We all hate loudmouths. He is also a competitor, showed how to play through pain, and caring enough to help his teammates get better as players. He gives back to the community, maybe more than most. Teammates don't want him to step up and be vocal, but they sit on their hands in the locker room. It took Gould to tell Marshall to STFU. Gould the freaking kicker. That is why Pace stressed finding leaders. Who else tried taking a leadership role really late? Tim Jennings. This franchise needs leaders. They need captains, not some damn rotation bs. I for one think Marshall will mature even more so with the birth of his twins. Having a strong HC will help also.

Press Conference Tomorrow
The only thing he has to do is stay within a budget, that is the only thing Teddy controls. Not were the money goes, but what the limit is.

Press Conference Tomorrow
Then why even hire a GM who has full control of the football ops? Sure he said he will lean on these guys, but ultimately his decision is his. Accorsi was mentioned as well, I am sure he will keep ties with him through this process and after. Ted Phillips job is to be the reporter between owners and Ryan Pace, if they feel Pace needs more help, maybe they can hire a VP?

Bears to Meet W/Teryl Austin
I do not see a power struggle, when Pace has all say in football decisions. Shanny can walk if he doesn't like it.
-
Press Conference Tomorrow
He has to report to Ted but he has the power to make all football decisions. Ted is only getting updates, not approvals. Nothing wrong with that imo.

Ryan pace new gm
Youngest GM in the NFL. Lets hope he becomes the oldest one 30 years from now.

Bowles interview moved to tomorrow
Possibly? He does get the benefit of being snowed in in Chicago, no hurries to catch a flight out.

Ryan pace new gm
Emery's biggest fault was his coaching choices and not leading when this team needed it. I will not hold judgement on his players he drafted or signed until we have competent coaching run the course.

Mock 01-06-15 with trade
Forte is not an in between the tackles RB. Carey is, but can he be an NFL every down back. If the Bears are to succeed, they will have to run 25+/game. I would prefer Gordan, but I think he goes 15-20 and Gurley can take his time healing. Fortes contract is up after next season also. If they can get extra picks, throwing deep or swinging for the fence on a offensive playmaker is a bonus.

Mock 01-06-15 with trade
An unusual rumor that New England wants Shaq Thompson and may try to trade up had me thinking of a swap. #1-7=1500, for #1-31=600, next years 1st= 500, #2-62=296, #3-94=116 1-31 = Benardrick McKinney MLB 2-39 =Todd Gurley RB 2-63=Hronis Grasu C 3-71=Durrell Eskridge FS 3-95=Jake Fisher OT 4-103=Quinton Rollins CB 5-Denver 6-WR

Is Marshall on the way out?
The leaks are the rumblings that writers are speculating. I don't think any team will trade more than a 4th for him. The way rookie WRs have produced, plus a trade leaves his contract intact, and no team will want his dead money on the books. I am sure there are Bears that do not like him, but the team is better with him than without.

Dan Quinn - Most Impressive Candidate
I do like Seattles D and teams are sure to try and copy that. Their D was good the year before Quinn took over too. I put their success in Wilson emerging at QB. The energetic HC, OC that picked and groomed Wilson, a innovative GM that found success in big late round DBs and Brady/Quinn running a #1 D 3 years in a row. Does Quinn turn out like Gus Brady? Hard to evaluate Brady, I'd like to see how Jax plays 2 years from now. But I think Quinn can be a good candidate.

Is Marshall on the way out?
Well the "leak" already ruined any leverage in a trade. Who would give up a 4th or higher for a ticking time bomb if the Bears are realeasing him and his contract get terminated?. I don't think Marshall has been bad, but you do have to worry about him.

Shanny may interview with the Bears
Sometimes bringing in older and more experienced is the way to go. Look at the Giants approach with Coughlin. Shanny also should have a good network of coaches to call upon, compared to an up and coming coordinator. Since I have no say on what the Bears will do, I just try to stay optimistic with their decisions.

Ballard also declining interview with Eagles. It seems pretty clear were he is going.

Hundley at QB in draft ?
Kordell wasn't good enough to have a new contract offered to him. He didn't cost 2-1st round draft picks either. I only support Jay because I think it would be foolish to get rid of him until a capable replacement can be groomed. There are no perfect candidates that will ever hit FA, teams do not let go of those players. We hold the #7 pick and there still isn't a qb worth that risk to groom into a franchise qb. Hopefully by the 2016 draft, there will be one. How Jay needs to be handled is not to coddle him, he starts getting careless with the ball, you sit him.

Hundley at QB in draft ?
But will also hold every QB record in Bears franchise history.... Love him or hate him, the Bears haven't produced better

Bears utilizing NFL's Career Development Advisory Panel
Ray or Beasley would be easy. The draft would make so much sense if we had that D because I do not like our choices in our current scheme. Round 2 good chance to grab a ballhawk FS or If Peters CB or Oakman DE falls.
-
Bears utilizing NFL's Career Development Advisory Panel
Just think, we could have had Bowles already. If only they chose Arians over Trestman lol. 3-4 is possible. DE-Sutton, Houston, Allen, NT-Ratliff, Ferguson, Paea OLB-Young, McClellin, Washington, Bass ILB-Bostic, Jones, Greene CB-Fuller, Jennings S-Mundy, Vereen

More GM candidates, per Schefter
That list is fine, but the Bears need to be searching from the best teams imo. Teams that have long term success. Sounds like they will hire someone from the above list. I would like to see them add guys from GreenBay, New England, Pittsburgh etc. Nick Careio 39 years old, Director of player personnel could be a Theo Epstein? Well, Ballard interviews today or tomorrow. In 4-5 days, we should have a better idea.

More GM candidates, per Schefter
I have not seen this guy mentioned, any thoughts? Alonzo Highsmith-Green Bays Senior Personnel Executive Yes, he is the former RB. Been a college scout for Ron Wolf since 1999. He has been building GBs roster the past 15 years. He knows the Bears pretty well and can share what he has learned from inside GB. Being Ted Thompsons right hand man and understanding players put him up on my list.

Mock Draft v.1.0
I like the draft, I would consider a LB at 2 though. I would think one of the top 4 may be available. You have Shaq Thompson, Denzel Perryman, Benardrick McKinney, and Erik Kendricks. Grasu or Dismukes at Center would be wise and that is still drafting oline early. Between Mills, Ola, Groy, and Leno, one or two will develop and step up also.

Mock Draft v.1.0
2016 draft, give me Alabamas Derrick Henry. He will be a beast
-
NFL Draft pick #7 history
I'm in for Collins or Thompson. Collins for his leadership, he is in charge of the defensive huddle. Thompson, I know he plays to win and gives extra effort and an athletic freak. They said he is as good of a RB as a LB. edit: Just read Draftteks 4 round mock - This will keep the Oline guys and defensive guys happy 1-Landon Collins S 2-Erik Kendricks LB (also available: Marcus Peters CB) 3-Reece Dismukes C (also available: Todd Gurley RB) 4-Corey Robinson RT
