I would be ok with that. I see Fluker like Loadholdt a few years back. If a LB drops like Ogletree, I'd be happy. Frederick should be a strong hold for years, but is more of a Tice type player. Schwenke really fits the ZBS. If there a way to swope, I'd be dope haha.
-
That would be nice, just wish I knew what was up PE's sleeve.
-
I think we signed the TE from KC to a.multiple year deal.
-
Too many unknowns, last year the ball bounced our way on turnovers. I will say 8-8, because this will be a growing year.
-
I'm all for a young stud at G too. One we think is a sure thing, like my thoughts on DeCastro last year. The thing about this draft is there are some good LB, G, and WRs we will have a shot at. WR should be our least concern, but it may be Trestmans #1 priority. We may throw everyone off and take anothe DE? Wootten has one year left and Peppers may cost too much and Shea may not develop. I won't throw anything out with this team.

If we can land Frederick, Barrett Jones, or Schwienke I will be happy. I just wish we had a 3rd RD bc I think that's were they end up. Draft a center allows Garza to kick out to guard where he can be servicable for one year. I still hope to have a shot at Cooper or Warmack, but I keep hearing how we really like Arthor Brown at LB.
-
True, and most of his contracts are one year deals. I think I've seen right now 39 out of 65 Bear contracts expire next season. He has his work cut out for him. We still need a vet back up QB and a Guard would be nice, but he has nearly a complete team set and we haven't drafted.
-
He's gone and we've signed multiple players since the decision. We couldve kept him and he could play at a probowl level, but we may not have been able to afford Anderson, Hayden, Zibikowski and others. I think the choice was tough, but long term it will turn out right. His signing could be the difference of being able to keep Cutler/Peppers next season, who knows. Lets trust Emery has a vision layed out and it turns into Championships year after year.
-
I think his best time was 4.68 and his worst was 4.75.....all officially unofficial

I didn't want to start a new thread but was curious if these last few moves are indicating a change to the 3-4. Williams and Anderson both have experience in a 3-4. The draft is freeing up, where we can use a couple picks to fill the missing pieces. There is also articles on web that suggest this also released today. The next few weeks will be telling...

I'm liking Arthor Brown, he's a little on the small side but really solid. I think he could play MLB, but would be perfect in Briggs spot. I think we draft 2 LBs this year.
-
The Brian Urlacher days are over. He is a Bear legend and we will honor him when he retires. Its time to draft the next great LB and start another run.
-
I look for Wright to have an outstanding year. He will be in a contract year of course, so they tend to come around and stand out more. Hardin will be interesting. Hopefully the red shirt year prepared him. He's tweeted a few times that he'll be making plays.... Hope he learned how to tackle first, he has the physical aspects just wasn't ready mentally. Conte by year 3, should have his body built to hold up and I think we'll be hearing "birdman" announced a lot. Steltz/Zibikowski are just solid vets that can fill in. For once our DBs are solid with NB being the only hole we may fill either late draft or fa.

I did mock a month ago, but had us trading our 2nd RD pick with SF. I definately like this version better and think since they have 11 picks that they go for quality over quantity if the right player is available.
-
We need more picks for sure. It would be nice to move down 6-8 spots and gain a 3rd RD. Needing 2 LBs, 2 Gs, a speed WR, C, nickleback, and backup QB will be a challenge for the brass.
-
Can't go wrong with having Safeties. They seem to drop like flys in the NFL. Plus he is a Domer, which might be a sign they like Te'o haha.
-
I don't think we will have a shot at a G in rd1. Rd2 maybe, Warford but he may be gone too tho. Then you have to weigh how much better will the RD4 guys be than what we have. JBrown was mocked rd3-4 last year, imo teams avoided him bc of his pot issues. I think Brown wins the LG position, his play should continue to improve. I think he will be better than Louis and Louis was a servicable RG. Garza can play RG until Louis comes back. Its not what I prefer, but more how I see it. I am a huge oline guy.
-
Garza kicks out to Guard, and James Brown gets the other spot. Unless we aquire more picks, I think our draft sees one olineman
-
I was messing around drafting too, boring Saturday....basically used WalterFootball: 1: Arthur Brown LB - Great leader has trouble on TE's in coverage 2: Ryan Swope WR - Speed WR with size. I have visions of him being a Jordy Nelson? 4: Brian Schwenke C -If he's around, we would move up. Walter's had him available 5: Matt Scott QB - 6-3 196 4.69 dual threat QB? 6: Brandon McGee CB - 5-11 193 4.40 40yd, didn't play much until Senior yr

The thing about 4's and on, they need to be big contributers on special teams. Chad would not be in my opinion. You have to put that in to perspective when team building in our fantasy world. Sure, lets sign all the old greats....can the be a gunner??
-
My reply about not doing much to the oline was a result of not having 3 starting LB's. With Williams, that may change. Also, by grabbing a C, we can swing Garza over to G if needed.
-
I heard they were working on a deal, didn't know they reached agreement.
-
I don't know about TJ Williams, is he related to DJ? Just kidding!
-
When players see the process, they won't do any favors unless it benefits them. This might sway their thought about "home team" discounts.
